salvation_n of_o their_o soul_n or_o accuse_v they_o unto_o the_o damnation_n thereof_o so_o it_o be_v most_o plain_a that_o that_o principle_n whereby_o they_o by_o nature_n or_o naturally_n do_v the_o will_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v no_o other_o than_o the_o light_n and_o life_n of_o christ_n without_o who_o i_o believe_v none_o of_o you_o dare_v deny_v any_o one_o can_v be_v justify_v but_o moreover_o because_o of_o your_o hardness_n of_o belief_n consider_v what_o you_o say_v when_o you_o speak_v of_o nature_n or_o do_v by_o nature_n the_o word_n nature_n come_v from_o a_o word_n that_o signify_v to_o be_v bear_v so_o that_o whatever_o a_o man_n do_v by_o nature_n he_o do_v by_o that_o which_o be_v bear_v with_o he_o or_o bring_v forth_o with_o he_o into_o the_o world_n as_o beast_n also_o do_v in_o their_o kind_n yea_o and_o inanimate_a creature_n in_o their_o kind_n so_o move_v and_o rest_n be_v general_a work_n of_o nature_n because_o every_o creature_n move_v or_o rest_v from_o a_o principle_n which_o it_o have_v from_o its_o birth_n but_o here_o man_n be_v apt_a to_o commit_v idolatry_n in_o not_o mind_v and_o see_v whence_o this_o birth_n or_o nature_n and_o the_o work_v thereof_o proceed_v and_o do_v subsist_v for_o in_o the_o eternal_a power_n and_o godhead_n who_o be_v in_o himself_o most_o glorious_a before_o any_o thing_n be_v bear_v or_o bring_v forth_o or_o before_o nature_n be_v do_v all_o thing_n and_o nature_n with_o all_o its_o work_n subsist_v &_o have_v their_o be_v so_o that_o they_o be_v nothing_o but_o what_o he_o be_v in_o they_o yet_o every_o thing_n in_o its_o degree_n measure_n and_o order_n and_o so_o man_n be_v in_o the_o high_a degree_n of_o act_v from_o that_o ability_n which_o the_o creator_n who_o be_v the_o soul_n of_o the_o world_n and_o life_n of_o all_o thing_n place_v in_o he_o now_o this_o be_v right_o consider_v all_o that_o which_o man_n in_o a_o slight_v manner_n be_v wont_a to_o call_v instinct_n of_o nature_n or_o natural_a light_n or_o endowment_n be_v the_o very_a effect_n of_o the_o life_n of_o god_n himself_o stir_v and_o move_v that_o way_n so_o than_o mankind_n have_v a_o ability_n in_o he_o from_o his_o birth_n to_o reflect_v upon_o himself_o as_o to_o godward_o when_o he_o have_v do_v good_a or_o evil_n which_o the_o beast_n be_v not_o capable_a of_o so_o as_o to_o be_v accuse_v or_o torment_v or_o excuse_v and_o comfort_v this_o ability_n call_v it_o what_o you_o will_v be_v from_o the_o life_n of_o all_o thing_n and_o the_o eternal_a word_n of_o his_o power_n which_o be_v the_o light_n and_o life_n of_o man_n which_o can_v be_v separate_v from_o man_n understanding_n whereby_o the_o spirit_n of_o a_o man_n become_v the_o candle_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o so_o the_o effect_n of_o the_o law_n be_v write_v in_o man_n heart_n by_o the_o finger_n of_o god_n by_o nature_n or_o from_o his_o birth_n for_o that_o word_n impli_v no_o more_o and_o in_o this_o do_v the_o gentile_n differ_v from_o the_o jew_n in_o that_o these_o have_v a_o law_n also_o outward_o declare_v which_o be_v add_v because_o of_o the_o height_n of_o transgression_n against_o the_o law_n in_o the_o heart_n till_o the_o seed_n or_o life_n that_o there_o place_v it_o shall_v arise_v to_o fulfil_v it_o and_o the_o other_o only_o the_o principle_n by_o nature_n or_o the_o force_a ability_n from_o their_o birth_n without_o any_o outward_a engravement_n or_o writing_n whereupon_o the_o jew_n boast_v over_o the_o gentile_n because_o to_o they_o be_v outward_o commit_v the_o oracle_n and_o ordinance_n etc._n etc._n wherefore_o paul_n to_o stop_v their_o mouth_n for_o the_o seed_n be_v now_o raise_v say_v for_o when_o the_o gentile_n which_o have_v not_o a_o law_n do_v by_o nature_n or_o the_o principle_n place_v by_o god_n in_o they_o from_o their_o birth_n the_o thing_n contain_v in_o the_o law_n these_o have_v not_o a_o law_n outward_o write_v be_v a_o law_n to_o themselves_o that_o be_v have_v the_o pure_a principle_n of_o god_n in_o themselves_o from_o their_o birth_n show_v they_o what_o to_o do_v and_o what_o to_o abstain_v from_o and_o so_o if_o the_o uncircumcision_n which_o be_v by_o nature_n keep_v the_o law_n that_o be_v if_o they_o which_o be_v not_o from_o their_o birth_n circumcise_v outward_o as_o not_o be_v the_o seed_n of_o abraham_n according_a to_o the_o flesh_n do_v keep_v the_o law_n by_o the_o same_o pure_a principle_n of_o god_n they_o shall_v judge_v the_o jew_n outward_a who_o have_v such_o a_o a_o law_n and_o circumcision_n do_v yet_o transgress_v the_o righteous_a principle_n of_o god_n which_o show_v they_o that_o inward_o which_o the_o law_n outward_o declare_v of_o and_o which_o circumcision_n outward_a

faithful_a though_o you_o never_o speak_v with_o any_o other_o tongue_n than_o your_o mother_n tongue_n or_o do_v any_o outward_a miracle_n yet_o speak_v and_o declare_v of_o all_o his_o wonderful_a work_n now_o come_v i_o to_o stand_v up_o in_o defence_n of_o the_o truth_n and_o true_a church_n of_o the_o first_o bear_v against_o all_o you_o of_o what_o sort_n soever_o you_o be_v or_o under_o what_o name_n soever_o you_o go_v who_o be_v out_o of_o all_o those_o aforenamed_a sect_n lift_v your_o head_n on_o high_a snuff_v up_o the_o wind_n and_o think_v it_o too_o low_a a_o condition_n for_o you_o to_o believe_v in_o the_o true_a light_n within_o you_o which_o secret_o reprove_v for_o all_o sin_n and_o evil_n and_o so_o to_o wait_v humble_o and_o silent_o therein_o with_o the_o people_n of_o god_n call_v quaker_n in_o derision_n because_o they_o tremble_v at_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o be_v afraid_a to_o offend_v in_o the_o least_o thing_n that_o of_o god_n in_o they_o for_o so_o must_v you_o much_o deny_v yourselves_o both_o in_o wisdom_n talk_v and_o behaviour_n among_o man_n with_o who_o you_o converse_v which_o cross_n will_v to_o they_o seem_v a_o ridiculous_a and_o foolish_a thing_n in_o you_o you_o will_v say_v perhaps_o you_o be_v above_o ordinance_n or_o shadow_n and_o can_v live_v satisfy_v of_o yourselves_o by_o that_o which_o you_o know_v and_o be_v teach_v of_o god_n without_o join_v to_o or_o walk_v with_o any_o but_o consider_v friend_n there_o be_v one_o great_a ordinance_n which_o you_o must_v never_o get_v above_o but_o be_v in_o subjection_n to_o if_o ever_o you_o will_v have_v true_a peace_n with_o the_o live_a god_n and_o that_o be_v christ_n the_o true_a light_n who_o shine_v in_o every_o one_o heart_n either_o as_o a_o justifier_n or_o condemner_n who_o be_v the_o great_a gift_n of_o the_o father_n to_o the_o son_n of_o man_n and_o he_o who_o he_o have_v ordain_v to_o save_v or_o destroy_v for_o ever_o now_o whatever_o man_n may_v talk_v or_o tattle_n or_o boast_v of_o themselves_o this_o be_v a_o more_o certain_a truth_n seal_v in_o i_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n god_n that_o whosoever_o he_o be_v that_o true_o believe_v in_o christ_n the_o light_n do_v whatsoever_o the_o light_n lead_v unto_o and_o that_o one_o special_a thing_n which_o it_o lead_v unto_o be_v to_o bring_v the_o creature_n soul_n body_n and_o spirit_n into_o a_o right_a frame_n and_o order_n out_o of_o its_o own_o will_n into_o the_o will_n of_o its_o guide_n which_o be_v the_o light_n so_o as_o that_o man_n shall_v not_o walk_v at_o random_n speak_v or_o do_v as_o it_o please_v he_o but_o shall_v free_o and_o natural_o love_v the_o society_n and_o join_v visible_o in_o the_o bond_n of_o amity_n with_o those_o that_o believe_v and_o walk_v in_o the_o light_n know_v a_o time_n of_o silence_n as_o they_o do_v and_o a_o bridle_n for_o the_o tongue_n so_o as_o to_o keep_v his_o mouth_n as_o with_o a_o bit_n and_o this_o be_v to_o walk_v in_o the_o footsteps_a of_o the_o flock_n for_o in_o this_o manner_n do_v the_o good_a shepherd_n put_v his_o sheep_n forth_o &_o go_v before_o they_o in_o this_o his_o day_n the_o state_n and_o condition_n of_o all_o those_o who_o have_v be_v in_o spiritual_a captivity_n so_o require_v it_o nor_o be_v it_o enough_o for_o any_o of_o you_o to_o say_v be_v god_n tie_v up_o to_o a_o form_n for_o we_o know_v this_o be_v no_o form_n or_o frame_v of_o man_n devise_v but_o what_o the_o light_n natural_o and_o man_n condition_n necessary_o call_v he_o into_o for_o if_o his_o delight_n be_v with_o the_o saint_n and_o those_o that_o excel_v in_o virtue_n as_o david_n be_v who_o have_v a_o sincere_a heart_n he_o can_v but_o come_v among_o they_o in_o love_n and_o if_o they_o there_o wait_v on_o the_o lord_n he_o to_o wait_v with_o they_o if_o they_o seek_v the_o lord_n he_o to_o seek_v he_o with_o they_o if_o they_o love_v the_o lord_n judgement_n and_o reproof_n he_o to_o love_v they_o also_o and_o if_o they_o rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n he_o to_o rejoice_v also_o this_o be_v to_o be_v like_o mind_a and_o affectionate_a one_o to_o another_o hereby_o do_v the_o pure_a and_o unfeigned_a love_n appear_v &_o the_o unity_n or_o the_o onety_n in_o the_o spirit_n be_v witness_v here_o be_v a_o church_n visible_a in_o a_o sweet_a and_o spiritual_a order_n and_o yet_o out_o of_o any_o invent_v or_o humane_a form_n for_o although_o we_o know_v and_o say_v that_o man_n order_n be_v confusion_n yet_o we_o also_o know_v and_o say_v that_o god_n be_v a_o god_n of_o order_n not_o of_o confusion_n now_o what_o be_v more_o comely_a than_o for_o friend_n and_o brethren_n in_o the_o truth_n to_o live_v together_o in_o unity_n and_o in_o what_o way_n can_v this_o unity_n be_v more_o show_v than_o by_o meeting_n and_o assemble_v together_o to_o wait_v upon_o the_o lord_n to_o know_v his_o counsel_n to_o feel_v his_o teach_n to_o speak_v when_o he_o speak_v to_o move_v when_o he_o move_v and_o to_o rest_v when_o he_o rest_v be_v not_o this_o god_n way_n of_o lead_v his_o people_n to_o canaan_n yea_o and_o in_o canaan_n be_v not_o this_o one_o part_n of_o walk_v in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o lamb_n be_v not_o this_o a_o part_n of_o that_o one_o heart_n and_o one_o way_n that_o the_o lord_n have_v promise_v to_o lead_v his_o people_n in_o be_v not_o here_o a_o spiritual_a harmony_n and_o hereby_o do_v not_o the_o saint_n in_o a_o great_a measure_n appear_v to_o be_v a_o city_n set_v on_o 〈◊〉_d hill_n that_o can_v be_v hide_v let_v destroy_v all_o general_a assembling_n of_o the_o saint_n together_o than_o i_o say_v you_o speak_v not_o in_o god_n wisdom_n nor_o know_v not_o the_o thought_n of_o his_o heart_n for_o the_o apostle_n who_o be_v in_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n and_o have_v receive_v the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n to_o guide_v he_o say_v exhort_v you_o one_o another_o daily_o lest_o any_o of_o you_o be_v harden_v through_o the_o deceitfulness_n of_o sin_n and_o whereas_o perhaps_o you_o may_v think_v such_o meeting_n be_v needless_a because_o of_o this_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n that_o be_v rise_v and_o arise_v the_o same_o apostle_n argue_v quite_o contrary_a say_v not_o forsake_v the_o assemble_v of_o yourselves_o together_o as_o the_o manner_n of_o some_o be_v but_o exhort_v one_o another_o of_o light_n therefore_o the_o more_o they_o espy_v it_o the_o more_o they_o seek_v after_o it_o now_o exhortation_n or_o other_o declaration_n that_o come_v from_o the_o light_n of_o life_n raise_v the_o light_n of_o life_n in_o other_o and_o so_o bring_v on_o the_o day_n for_o it_o be_v like_a fire_n beget_v fire_n or_o like_o face_n answer_v to_o face_n in_o a_o glass_n not_o like_o the_o dead_a and_o dry_a word_n of_o other_o assembly_n where_o there_o be_v no_o wait_v in_o the_o light_n first_o to_o feel_v the_o life_n but_o a_o continual_a trade_n and_o go_v on_o in_o self-strength_n but_o you_o can_v nor_o dare_v not_o deny_v but_o that_o we_o do_v so_o wait_v and_o all_o word_n speak_v out_o of_o that_o be_v judge_v by_o the_o same_o and_o if_o any_o one_o among_o we_o look_v out_o after_o word_n and_o be_v not_o as_o well_o satisfy_v without_o they_o as_o with_o they_o if_o the_o lord_n will_v have_v all_o flesh_n keep_v silence_n before_o he_o that_o dissatisfaction_n be_v judge_v also_o beside_o if_o you_o be_v in_o that_o which_o give_v a_o right_a discern_a you_o will_v see_v that_o word_n speak_v from_o the_o life_n be_v altogether_o ●eedful_a
