hot-iron_n in_o stupify_a and_o make_v senseless_a the_o conscience_n of_o the_o harden_a person_n and_o god_n as_o a_o just_a judge_n put_v on_o the_o executioner_n must_v be_v also_o about_o this_o action_n so_o that_o this_o harden_v be_v very_o oft_o the_o sign_n of_o a_o reprobate_n to_o who_o god_n show_v no_o mercy_n who_o he_o will_v he_o harden_v and_o show_v mercy_n on_o who_o he_o will_v show_v mercy_n albeit_o it_o be_v not_o ever_o so_o as_o in_o our_o text_n and_o elsewhere_o god_n harden_v the_o heart_n of_o some_o for_o a_o time_n who_o thereafter_o he_o soften_v and_o be_v careful_a to_o grieve_v and_o complain_v to_o the_o lord_n for_o this_o great_a evil_n wherever_o we_o see_v it_o in_o ourselves_o or_o other_o not_o only_o the_o most_o faithful_a of_o god_n need_v no_o other_o than_o the_o reason_n of_o the_o doctrine_n if_o thou_o find_v this_o evil_n creep_v in_o thy_o heart_n as_o i_o doubt_v not_o but_o it_o lodge_v sensible_o in_o some_o heart_n that_o hear_v i_o or_o though_o the_o lord_n have_v bless_v thou_o with_o the_o tender_a heart_n of_o josiah_n to_o mourn_v for_o the_o sin_n and_o calamity_n that_o be_v already_o and_o to_o tremble_v for_o what_o further_o be_v come_v yet_o if_o thou_o see_v this_o mischief_n proclaim_v itself_o in_o the_o countenance_n and_o life_n of_o the_o most_o of_o thy_o neighbour_n as_o true_o a_o observe_v and_o conscientious_a eye_n will_v remark_n too_o much_o of_o it_o wherever_o he_o will_v look_v even_o in_o the_o day_n and_o place_n of_o most_o solemn_a humiliation_n when_o much_o of_o a_o angry_a god_n a_o busy_a devil_n and_o of_o a_o high_a degree_n of_o humane_a corruption_n it_o be_v also_o a_o presage_n and_o certain_a forerunner_n if_o not_o remedy_v of_o great_a temporal_a judgement_n then_o yet_o we_o have_v see_v albeit_o we_o have_v see_v and_o hear_v of_o as_o much_o woe_n as_o our_o father_n in_o these_o kingdom_n have_v feel_v for_o some_o hundred_o year_n though_o all_o their_o suffering_n be_v put_v together_o yet_o the_o hardness_n of_o our_o heart_n if_o it_o continue_v will_v make_v all_o we_o have_v suffer_v but_o the_o begin_n of_o evil_n yea_o this_o hardness_n of_o heart_n poison_n and_o envenom_v all_o our_o suffering_n with_o a_o curse_a quality_n pestilence_n wound_n spoil_v of_o good_n death_n be_v all_o sanctify_a and_o sweeten_v to_o a_o soften_a heart_n but_o to_o a_o harden_a heart_n they_o be_v the_o first_o act_n of_o a_o woeful_a tragedy_n there_o be_v a_o treasure_n of_o wrath_n and_o lake_n of_o fire_n and_o brimstone_n at_o their_o end_n attend_v they_o if_o we_o be_v able_a on_o these_o day_n set_v apart_o for_o this_o end_n above_o all_o other_o to_o attain_v the_o blessing_n of_o a_o soft_a heart_n and_o the_o judgement_n of_o a_o heart_n harden_v by_o god_n remove_v we_o will_v quick_o be_v secure_a of_o damnation_n we_o will_v become_v certain_a of_o the_o removal_n of_o all_o these_o judgement_n which_o have_v very_o long_o so_o heavy_o lie_v both_o on_o the_o church_n and_o state_n and_o on_o the_o back_n if_o not_o of_o our_o person_n yet_o of_o many_o in_o who_o our_o
