the_o effect_n as_o sometime_o if_o there_o be_v a_o few_o small_a spot_n in_o a_o child_n coat_n you_o regard_v not_o they_o but_o if_o there_o be_v some_o great_a spot_n it_o cause_v you_o to_o wash_v the_o whole_a coat_n so_o it_o be_v with_o one_o that_o have_v any_o grace_n if_o the_o lord_n notwithstanding_o his_o watchfulness_n and_o care_n shall_v let_v he_o fall_v into_o some_o 1._o doct._n first_o that_o 〈◊〉_d be_v a_o spot_n 2._o doct._n second_o that_o even_o the_o child_n of_o god_n while_o they_o live_v in_o this_o world_n have_v their_o spot_n 3._o doct._n three_o which_o be_v the_o main_a and_o scope_n of_o the_o word_n that_o there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o difference_n between_o the_o sin_n and_o spot_n of_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a man_n and_o the_o spot_n of_o god_n child_n that_o be_v that_o that_o i_o aim_v at_o in_o the_o choice_n of_o these_o word_n to_o show_v the_o difference_n between_o the_o sin_n of_o wicked_a man_n and_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o saint_n and_o i_o have_v châ—sen_v this_o scripture_n to_o handle_v this_o point_n for_o these_o two_o end_n first_o to_o take_v away_o that_o great_a plea_n that_o most_o carnal_a heart_n have_v whereby_o they_o put_v off_o the_o power_n of_o the_o word_n from_o their_o heart_n and_o be_v secure_a in_o their_o sinful_a way_n why_o say_v they_o can_v we_o be_v without_o sin_n be_v the_o best_a without_o sin_n upon_o they_o now_o because_o none_o be_v without_o sin_n therefore_o they_o think_v to_o put_v it_o off_o and_o grow_v secure_a and_o upon_o this_o very_a thought_n put_v off_o abundance_n of_o truth_n that_o they_o hear_v preach_v out_o of_o the_o word_n that_o do_v they_o no_o good_a at_o all_o and_o mere_o upon_o this_o reason_n now_o be_v it_o that_o this_o plea_n be_v but_o take_v from_o they_o the_o word_n may_v prevail_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o upon_o they_o now_o therefore_o i_o hope_v before_o we_o have_v do_v this_o scripture_n i_o shall_v weaken_v if_o child_n because_o they_o feel_v so_o much_o sin_n in_o they_o as_o they_o do_v they_o be_v afraid_a that_o they_o be_v not_o god_n child_n they_o be_v afraid_a that_o their_o sin_n that_o be_v in_o they_o do_v argue_v they_o not_o to_o be_v god_n child_n now_o they_o will_v have_v help_n likewise_o in_o the_o open_n of_o this_o point_n when_o they_o shall_v have_v lay_v before_o they_o that_o it_o be_v only_o the_o blood_n of_o jesus_n christ_n can_v cleanse_v and_o take_v away_o this_o stain_n use_v now_o if_o sin_n be_v such_o a_o stain_n such_o a_o spot_n hence_o then_o let_v we_o learn_v to_o look_v into_o god_n

can_v but_o tremble_v at_o the_o very_a thought_n of_o they_o those_o that_o will_v put_v off_o their_o sin_n even_o to_o god_n himself_o they_o take_v liberty_n to_o sin_n and_o say_v they_o can_v do_v nothing_o without_o he_o and_o so_o give_v way_n to_o wickedness_n and_o think_v if_o god_n will_v give_v they_o more_o grace_n than_o they_o shall_v do_v better_a but_o till_o then_o they_o nature_n and_o certain_o here_o be_v no_o change_n of_o nature_n in_o this_o so_o that_o it_o be_v not_o a_o universal_a opposition_n it_o be_v but_o only_o in_o one_o part_n of_o his_o soul_n but_o now_o the_o opposition_n of_o a_o gracious_a heart_n it_o be_v in_o the_o whole_a soul_n not_o only_o my_o conscience_n be_v against_o my_o sin_n but_o my_o will_n and_o my_o asfection_n i_o have_v a_o principle_n in_o my_o will_n and_o affection_n as_o well_o as_o in_o my_o conscience_n all_o the_o faculty_n of_o the_o soul_n do_v oppose_v the_o sin_n and_o then_o second_o it_o be_v universal_a that_o profession_n your_o soul_n do_v love_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v the_o great_a grief_n of_o your_o soul_n that_o any_o one_o that_o make_v profession_n of_o religion_n shall_v dishonour_v it_o by_o wicked_a course_n then_o i_o say_v can_v you_o approve_v your_o heart_n before_o god_n that_o your_o heart_n be_v grieve_v and_o trouble_v and_o not_o rejoice_v at_o it_o that_o you_o can_v sin_v any_o advantage_n against_o profession_n as_o some_o do_v then_o i_o confess_v if_o the_o thing_n be_v vile_a and_o foul_a and_o such_o a_o thing_n as_o you_o can_v in_o charity_n see_v that_o it_o may_v stand_v with_o truth_n of_o grace_n to_o be_v a_o mere_a infirmity_n but_o a_o wickedness_n than_o you_o may_v follow_v it_o to_o the_o very_a foot_n and_o bottom_n and_o those_o that_o shall_v trouble_v the_o people_n of_o god_n with_o gross_a and_o vile_a sin_n and_o think_v to_o colour_v they_o over_o with_o profession_n of_o religion_n it_o be_v just_a with_o god_n they_o shall_v be_v trouble_v but_o if_o we_o have_v time_n we_o shall_v speak_v somewhat_o to_o that_o in_o the_o close_a of_o all_o we_o come_v now_o to_o the_o application_n of_o thâ—_n point_n only_o this_o caution_n about_o this_o thing_n cau._n take_v heed_n that_o you_o deceive_v not_o your_o heart_n about_o this_o thing_n if_o a_o man_n have_v two_o child_n one_o be_v godly_a and_o the_o other_o be_v proeen_v if_o they_o can_v have_v a_o advantage_n over_o one_o that_o be_v the_o more_o godly_a they_o will_v be_v more_o bitter_a to_o he_o than_o the_o other_o and_o if_o they_o have_v two_o servant_n one_o godly_a the_o other_o profane_a why_o the_o profane_a one_o shall_v fare_v better_o than_o the_o godly_a if_o they_o can_v have_v but_o the_o least_o advantage_n against_o they_o well_o howsoever_o thou_o deal_v with_o child_n or_o servant_n when_o thou_o have_v take_v they_o in_o a_o fault_n that_o the_o wicked_a find_v more_o favour_n from_o thou_o yet_o god_n deal_v
