from_o as_o that_o which_o be_v the_o best_a way_n to_o recover_v she_o to_o her_o former_a condition_n and_o here_o especial_o to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o ordinance_n prayer_n and_o hear_n of_o the_o word_n and_o receive_v of_o the_o sacrament_n which_o be_v the_o proper_a mean_n appoint_v to_o this_o purpose_n last_o in_o the_o renew_n of_o their_o faith_n and_o in_o the_o exercise_n of_o it_o a_o christian_a gather_v new_a strength_n and_o supply_n of_o spiritual_a grace_n by_o repair_v to_o the_o true_a spring_n and_o fountain_n and_o original_a of_o it_o which_o be_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n our_o strength_n it_o lie_v in_o he_o and_o therefore_o by_o a_o spirit_n of_o faith_n must_v be_v daily_a and_o continual_o fetch_v it_o from_o he_o and_o that_o upon_o all_o weak_a christian_a and_o satisfy_v the_o objection_n which_o they_o may_v make_v for_o some_o may_v be_v ready_a to_o say_v alas_o we_o find_v no_o such_o matter_n as_o this_o be_v which_o you_o now_o speak_v off_o we_o have_v little_a or_o no_o strength_n at_o all_o if_o we_o have_v have_v some_o it_o may_v be_v heretofore_o yet_o we_o have_v lose_v it_o and_o know_v not_o how_o to_o recover_v we_o in_o regard_n of_o our_o natural_a sustenance_n and_o the_o food_n of_o our_o body_n the_o strength_n which_o come_v by_o it_o it_o be_v not_o convey_v present_o but_o by_o leisure_n when_o the_o meat_n be_v digest_v indeed_o there_o be_v delight_n and_o sweetness_n and_o pleasantness_n even_o in_o the_o very_a first_o go_v down_o of_o it_o but_o the_o strength_n of_o it_o that_o come_v after_o it_o even_o so_o be_v it_o likewise_o here_o as_o to_o these_o spiritual_a thing_n the_o sweetness_n of_o the_o ordinance_n that_o be_v in_o the_o very_a partake_n of_o they_o and_o in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o use_v of_o they_o in_o pray_v and_o hear_v and_o communicate_v and_o meditate_v etc._n etc._n a_o gracious_a heart_n it_o do_v taste_v and_o relish_v they_o even_o then_o when_o it_o be_v about_o they_o but_o the_o strength_n which_o be_v convey_v by_o they_o that_o be_v a_o business_n of_o leisure_n and_o time_n and_o therefore_o we_o must_v wait_v for_o it_o and_o stay_v god_n time_n for_o the_o give_v of_o it_o thou_o therefore_o that_o complain_v of_o weakness_n consider_v whether_o thou_o have_v wait_v for_o strength_n and_o wait_v for_o it_o in_o his_o own_o way_n and_o in_o the_o use_n of_o those_o mean_n which_o he_o have_v ordain_v and_o appoint_v to_o thou_o especial_o consider_v how_o far_o christ_n himself_o have_v be_v take_v into_o this_o business_n which_o the_o prophet_n esay_n have_v it_o esay_n 57.20_o but_o now_o on_o the_o other_o side_n humility_n and_o lowliness_n of_o spirit_n it_o meet_v a_o affliction_n half_a way_n and_o so_o as_o i_o may_v say_v take_v off_o the_o violence_n of_o it_o it_o close_v with_o god_n and_o his_o providence_n and_o so_o thereby_o do_v very_o much_o lessen_v its_o own_o grief_n and_o perplexity_n when_o we_o shall_v consider_v we_o deserve_v more_o evil_a we_o shall_v be_v less_o trouble_v with_o that_o which_o we_o endure_v when_o we_o shall_v consider_v the_o grievousness_n of_o sin_n and_o how_o we_o common_o lie_v light_n and_o be_v better_a sustain_v second_o faith_n and_o dependence_n upon_o god_n this_o be_v a_o settle_n and_o quiet_v grace_n which_o lift_v the_o soul_n upon_o its_o hinge_n again_o and_o put_v it_o in_o frame_n therefore_o let_v we_o labour_v for_o that_o and_o improve_v it_o and_o put_v it_o in_o practice_n it_o be_v not_o faith_n so_o much_o in_o the_o habit_n which_o again_o on_o the_o other_o side_n neither_o do_v those_o corrupt_a affection_n which_o do_v tend_v to_o such_o wicked_a practice_n restrain_v these_o religious_a duty_n as_o to_o the_o external_a performance_n it_o be_v no_o way_n any_o hindrance_n or_o impediment_n from_o theevishness_n or_o revengefulness_n or_o lasciviousness_n now_o and_o then_o to_o go_v to_o church_n and_o to_o appear_v in_o the_o public_a assembly_n nay_o there_o be_v too_o many_o who_o now_o and_o then_o take_v occasion_n from_o their_o meeting_n in_o such_o place_n as_o these_o be_v to_o further_o and_o promote_v their_o opportunity_n for_o such_o kind_n of_o practice_n who_o therefore_o come_v and_o stand_v before_o god_n in_o his_o house_n that_o they_o may_v steal_v and_o murder_n and_o commit_v adultery_n threaten_v and_o foresee_v as_o well_o as_o feel_v where_o it_o have_v god_n word_n pregnant_a for_o it_o as_o the_o prophet_n jeremy_n now_o have_v to_o himself_o it_o be_v all_o one_o with_o he_o grave_v it_o as_o the_o prophet_n habbakuk_n speak_v in_o chap._n 3._o of_o that_o prophecy_n and_o 18._o vers_fw-la and_o so_o i_o may_v go_v on_o in_o any_o other_o sin_n beside_o if_o such_o person_n as_o these_o be_v will_v but_o sometime_o reckon_v and_o cast_v up_o their_o account_n at_o the_o year_n end_n or_o at_o the_o weeks-end_n or_o at_o the_o days-end_n as_o it_o may_v become_v they_o to_o do_v they_o will_v certain_o find_v that_o they_o be_v little_a or_o no_o gainer_n hereby_o nay_o rather_o indeed_o that_o they_o be_v great_a loser_n and_o sufferer_n by_o the_o bargain_n it_o and_o make_v the_o flame_n so_o much_o the_o more_o and_o great_a than_o ever_o it_o be_v every_o sinful_a act_n it_o intend_v the_o habit_n of_o sin_n and_o make_v those_o vicious_a and_o corrupt_a principle_n which_o be_v root_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o sinner_n to_o be_v so_o much_o the_o more_o strong_a and_o predominant_a in_o he_o as_o it_o be_v with_o those_o which_o have_v the_o dropsy_n their_o drink_n it_o increase_v their_o thirst_n to_o little_a good_a do_v they_o get_v by_o it_o and_o this_o be_v but_o the_o very_a condition_n of_o sin_n to_o all_o those_o that_o be_v carry_v greedy_o after_o it_o this_o be_v all_o the_o fruit_n which_o they_o have_v by_o it_o which_o be_v none_o at_o all_o the_o improvement_n of_o this_o point_n to_o ourselves_o be_v very_o useful_a and_o advantageous_a in_o sundry_a respect_n first_o as_o a_o very_a good_a curb_n and_o restraint_n from_o the_o commission_n of_o sin_n in_o all_o suggestion_n and_o temptation_n sharpen_v iron_n do_v refresh_v each_o other_o countenance_n as_o there_o be_v of_o a_o gracious_a heart_n with_o god_n in_o that_o communion_n which_o it_o enjoy_v with_o he_o in_o its_o christian_a course_n three_o he_o have_v god_n also_o for_o he_o by_o way_n of_o assistance_n and_o approbation_n he_o that_o abide_v in_o the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n and_o own_v that_o he_o have_v god_n answerable_o stand_v for_o he_o and_o take_v his_o part_n he_o have_v god_n to_o own_v he_o and_o have_v god_n to_o side_n with_o he_o and_o he_o have_v god_n to_o assist_v he_o and_o to_o defend_v he_o against_o all_o those_o that_o be_v opposite_a and_o contrary_n to_o he_o he_o have_v god_n not_o only_o as_o a_o inhabitant_n and_o companion_n but_o also_o as_o a_o abettor_n this_o be_v another_o great_a matter_n of_o consolation_n to_o a_o true_a believer_n and_o to_o one_o who_o be_v steadfast_a to_o religion_n and_o the_o principle_n of_o it_o when_o he_o may_v seem_v to_o stand_v
