nourish_v our_o soul_n the_o pylate_n whereby_o to_o guide_v our_o ship_n in_o this_o navigation_n the_o help_n by_o who_o we_o come_v to_o salvation_n in_o such_o sort_n as_o when_o the_o faithful_a heart_n yield_v itself_o to_o be_v trainable_a here_o in_o earth_n it_o be_v a_o mean_a to_o bring_v it_o up_o unto_o heaven_n it_o have_v please_v god_n that_o many_o thing_n be_v often_o speak_v by_o the_o prophet_n and_o hear_v by_o they_o but_o how_o much_o more_o excellent_a aught_o that_o to_o be_v repute_v which_o the_o father_n have_v say_v and_o pronounce_v by_o his_o son_n than_o that_o which_o he_o have_v say_v by_o his_o servant_n for_o in_o they_o speak_v the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n and_o he_o himself_o have_v speak_v in_o the_o late_a time_n in_o his_o own_o voice_n he_o do_v not_o now_o command_v that_o man_n prepare_v the_o way_n unto_o he_o that_o come_v because_o that_o he_o himself_o be_v come_v and_o discover_v the_o true_a way_n that_o we_o which_o go_v wander_v and_o grope_v in_o the_o darkness_n of_o death_n may_v be_v by_o the_o light_n of_o his_o wisdom_n direct_v in_o the_o way_n of_o life_n now_o amongst_o so_o many_o good_a lesson_n as_o he_o have_v leave_v we_o for_o our_o salvation_n prayer_n the_o form_n of_o prayer_n he_o have_v chief_o give_v unto_o we_o the_o right_a form_n of_o prayer_n he_o that_o have_v make_v we_o to_o live_v have_v teach_v we_o also_o to_o pray_v yea_o he_o have_v do_v it_o after_o his_o grace_n &_o goodness_n wherethrough_a he_o have_v store_v we_o with_o all_o thing_n and_o wrought_v it_o unto_o the_o end_n that_o his_o father_n may_v the_o more_o willing_o hear_v we_o when_o we_o pray_v unto_o he_o in_o that_o prayer_n that_o his_o son_n have_v teach_v us._n he_o do_v foretell_v how_o that_o the_o also_o the_o holy_a spirit_n have_v be_v send_v unto_o we_o what_o prayer_n shall_v be_v more_o true_a and_o perfect_a before_o god_n than_o that_o which_o come_v from_o the_o son_n who_o be_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n own_o mouth_n in_o manner_n as_o otherwise_o to_o pray_v concern_v the_o substance_n than_o he_o have_v teach_v we_o be_v not_o alone_o a_o ignorance_n but_o also_o a_o blockish_a fault_n as_o he_o rebuke_v the_o jew_n elsewhere_o how_o they_o do_v despise_v god_n commandment_n to_o set_v up_o their_o tradition_n let_v we_o therefore_o pray_v my_o brethren_n even_o as_o he_o which_o be_v both_o our_o god_n and_o master_n have_v teach_v us._n that_o prayer_n be_v agreeable_a unto_o god_n when_o one_o pray_v with_o a_o prayer_n that_o be_v he_o and_o when_o we_o make_v the_o word_n of_o his_o son_n to_o mount_v up_o unto_o his_o ear_n the_o father_n do_v acknowledge_v his_o son_n language_n when_o we_o do_v pray_v let_v he_o that_o dwell_v in_o our_o heart_n be_v also_o in_o our_o voice_n &_o upon_o our_o tongue_n and_o see_v that_o the_o son_n be_v our_o advocate_n as_o often_o as_o we_o do_v demand_v forgiveness_n for_o our_o sin_n let_v we_o take_v in_o our_o mouth_n the_o word_n of_o our_o advocate_n for_o see_v that_o he_o say_v how_o all_o that_o we_o shall_v ask_v of_o the_o father_n in_o his_o name_n it_o shall_v be_v grant_v unto_o we_o when_o shall_v our_o prayer_n have_v great_a strength_n but_o then_o when_o we_o shall_v call_v upon_o he_o by_o the_o peculiar_a prayer_n which_o he_o have_v make_v it_o behove_v those_o which_o pray_v to_o keep_v a_o certain_a form_n in_o their_o speech_n with_o a_o stay_a manner_n and_o full_a of_o all_o reverence_n &_o humbleness_n let_v we_o remember_v that_o it_o be_v before_o god_n face_n that_o we_o present_v ourselves_o let_v we_o therefore_o seek_v to_o please_v he_o as_o well_o in_o the_o behaviour_n of_o our_o body_n as_o in_o the_o conveyance_n of_o our_o voice_n it_o be_v a_o ill_a favour_a thing_n and_o a_o sign_n of_o impudency_n to_o use_v much_o cry_v out_o in_o prayer_n and_o there_o be_v nothing_o that_o do_v set_v it_o out_o more_o than_o modesty_n to_o be_v short_a we_o do_v see_v that_o the_o lord_n do_v allow_v that_o prayer_n which_o be_v make_v private_o in_o secret_a and_o in_o one_o chamber_n a_o thing_n that_o well_o agree_v with_o our_o faith_n to_o the_o end_n to_o make_v we_o understand_v that_o god_n be_v present_a throughout_o all_o that_o he_o hear_v and_o see_v all_o and_o that_o the_o fullness_n of_o his_o majesty_n pierce_v into_o the_o most_o hide_a &_o secret_a place_n as_o the_o scripture_n speak_v i_o be_o thy_o god_n near_o at_o hand_n and_o not_o afar_o off_o if_o a_o man_n be_v hide_v in_o a_o privy_a or_o close_a place_n do_v not_o i_o see_v he_o do_v not_o i_o fill_v both_o heaven_n and_o earth_n then_o when_o we_o shall_v come_v together_o with_o our_o brethren_n we_o must_v in_o good_a order_n solemnise_v the_o sacrifice_n of_o god_n not_o think_v to_o make_v our_o prayer_n to_o take_v place_n before_o the_o lord_n with_o chant_v and_o cry_v out_o god_n understand_v the_o heart_n not_o with_o the_o voice_n for_o it_o be_v not_o needful_a to_o advertise_v he_o by_o a_o lift_n up_o of_o a_o voice_n who_o see_v our_o thought_n this_o be_v it_o that_o he_o often_o say_v that_o he_o be_v the_o searcher_n of_o heart_n have_v the_o knowledge_n of_o our_o most_o secret_a thought_n we_o have_v a_o goodly_a example_n in_o the_o good_a woman_n anna_n mother_n of_o samuel_n who_o pray_v unto_o the_o lord_n not_o with_o a_o strong_a or_o lift_v up_o voice_n but_o secret_o sober_o and_o in_o her_o heart_n her_o prayer_n be_v secret_a but_o her_o faith_n be_v open_a she_o speak_v not_o with_o the_o voice_n but_o with_o the_o heart_n know_v very_o well_o that_o the_o lord_n our_o god_n so_o hear_v he_o and_o in_o such_o sort_n she_o receive_v in_o effect_n that_o which_o by_o faith_n she_o have_v require_v we_o have_v another_o example_n of_o a_o prayer_n right_o well_o direct_v and_o very_o modest_a in_o the_o person_n of_o the_o publican_n he_o go_v up_o into_o the_o temple_n and_o make_v his_o prayer_n not_o in_o a_o rude_a and_o presumptuous_a manner_n as_o the_o other_o without_o lift_v up_o his_o head_n or_o his_o forehead_n he_o only_o fall_v down_o &_o confess_v with_o his_o mouth_n his_o sin_n that_o he_o feel_v shut_v up_o in_o his_o heart_n in_o such_o sort_n as_o god_n hear_v the_o prayer_n of_o the_o humble_a that_o rest_v not_o upon_o his_o own_o innocence_n for_o who_o be_v he_o that_o be_v innocent_a his_o prayer_n be_v humble_a and_o he_o which_o advaunce_v and_o favore_v the_o humble_a hear_v the_o poor_a publican_n thus_o much_o concern_v the_o fashion_n and_o countenance_n that_o we_o ought_v to_o keep_v in_o our_o prayer_n let_v we_o now_o consider_v how_o our_o master_n
