we_o have_v so_o inward_a a_o sense_n and_o sure_o in_o every_o thing_n it_o appear_v that_o the_o first_o law_n of_o righteousness_n continue_v and_o stand_v fast_o thus_o its_o authority_n fall_v free_o on_o the_o gospel_n either_o as_o there_o be_v any_o witness_n of_o it_o among_o the_o heathen_a or_o as_o it_o be_v publish_v and_o make_v know_v to_o any_o by_o the_o immediate_a preach_v and_o read_v of_o it_o and_o as_o the_o gospel_n for_o all_o its_o great_a uses_n and_o end_n take_v it_o into_o itself_o but_o yet_o still_o it_o be_v itself_o a_o ministration_n only_o of_o life_n of_o righteousness_n and_o of_o the_o spirit_n and_o the_o transcript_n of_o the_o everlasting_a gracious_a purpose_n of_o god_n from_o eternity_n arg._n 3._o if_o the_o gospel_n be_v a_o new_a law_n that_o it_o be_v make_v know_v to_o so_o many_o as_o be_v call_v according_a to_o purpose_n to_o all_o other_o god_n be_v at_o freedom_n for_o even_o the_o general_a patience_n and_o bounty_n of_o god_n be_v sufficient_a manifestation_n of_o some_o mercy_n that_o shall_v excite_v man_n to_o seek_v after_o god_n and_o to_o turn_v from_o sin_n and_o leave_v they_o inexcusable_a if_o they_o do_v not_o that_o natural_a law_n require_v it_o when_o there_o be_v such_o hope_n to_o seek_v after_o god_n as_o far_o as_o they_o can_v according_a to_o those_o hope_n and_o manifestation_n even_o as_o in_o all_o natural_a duty_n and_o the_o case_n be_v but_o the_o same_o in_o perish_v without_o gospel_n as_o in_o perish_v without_o law_n for_o thus_o the_o apostle_n argue_v while_o he_o be_v discourse_v with_o pagan_n rom._n 2._o 3_o 4._o according_a to_o natural_a light_n but_o this_o promulgation_n be_v not_o sufficient_a for_o a_o new_a law_n of_o so_o great_a good_a to_o all_o man_n kind_a arg._n 4._o the_o gospel_n if_o it_o be_v a_o new_a law_n it_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o law_n of_o work_n and_o indeed_o else_o it_o be_v no_o law_n for_o though_o it_o be_v sound_v in_o grace_n and_o though_o it_o be_v a_o law_n accept_v sincerity_n in_o the_o place_n of_o perfect_a obedience_n yet_o it_o must_v if_o it_o be_v a_o law_n as_o some_o mistake_o speak_v and_o will_v have_v it_o resolve_v itself_o into_o the_o last_o issue_n into_o something_o do_v by_o ourselves_o by_o our_o own_o power_n even_o though_o we_o be_v assist_v by_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o it_o yet_o there_o must_v be_v a_o power_n in_o we_o to_o accept_v or_o refuse_v that_o assistance_n and_o if_o so_o beside_o the_o apostle_n constant_a remonstrance_n to_o any_o such_o work_n or_o â—aw_v
