salvation_n be_v seal_v up_o unto_o we_o which_o assurance_n will_v enable_v we_o to_o withstand_v all_o the_o assault_n of_o the_o devil_n the_o spirit_n offensive_a weapon_n to_o fight_v with_o the_o devil_n in_o the_o combat_n of_o the_o flesh_n viz._n 1._o we_o must_v get_v the_o sword_n of_o the_o spirit_n which_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n wherewith_o our_o head_n and_o captain_n christ_n do_v repel_v the_o devil_n 2._o we_o must_v pray_v with_o all_o manner_n of_o prayer_n and_o supplication_n in_o the_o spirit_n and_o watch_v thereunto_o with_o all_o perseverance_n the_o of_o all_o impiety_n 2._o be_v sure_a to_o put_v no_o confidence_n in_o thy_o own_o strength_n 3._o believe_v not_o the_o devil_n though_o he_o bring_v truth_n in_o his_o mouth_n 4._o be_v careful_a ever_o to_o make_v resistance_n to_o it_o either_o by_o weaken_v the_o ability_n of_o sin_n by_o take_v away_o all_o occasion_n to_o sin_n and_o by_o make_v a_o holy_a covenant_n with_o every_o member_n and_o faculty_n of_o soul_n and_o body_n never_o to_o admit_v it_o or_o else_o by_o oppose_v the_o contrary_a virtue_n to_o sin_n 5._o that_o thou_o be_v careful_a never_o to_o compare_v the_o pain_n of_o resistance_n with_o the_o pleasure_n of_o sin_n but_o rather_o the_o gripe_n of_o conscience_n with_o the_o pain_n of_o resistance_n 6._o thou_o must_v be_v careful_a to_o find_v yet_o unconvert_v in_o this_o man_n be_v but_o a_o subject_a to_o receive_v the_o impression_n of_o grace_n and_o no_o agent_n at_o all_o for_o in_o the_o create_a set_v and_o imprint_v of_o enlighten_v the_o mind_n with_o true_a knowledge_n soften_a the_o heart_n and_o change_v the_o will_n from_o evil_a to_o good_a 2._o the_o word_n which_o be_v the_o instrument_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n for_o now_o he_o work_v not_o by_o revelation_n or_o special_a instinct_n but_o ordinary_o in_o and_o by_o the_o word_n 3._o man_n will_v which_o though_o by_o nature_n be_v evil_a and_o dead_a unto_o grace_n yet_o be_v renew_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o the_o very_a first_o act_n of_o conversion_n move_v and_o strive_v to_o be_v turn_v it_o be_v not_o like_a wax_n only_o passive_a but_o as_o fire_n so_o soon_o as_o it_o be_v fire_n do_v burn_v and_o so_o soon_o as_o it_o burn_v it_o be_v fire_n so_o the_o will_n though_o by_o nature_n it_o move_v not_o yet_o be_v
