sufficient_a and_o he_o exalt_v not_o only_o by_o his_o will_n that_o be_v he_o have_v not_o only_o a_o will_n to_o exalt_v but_o he_o exalt_v by_o his_o power_n that_o be_v he_o have_v power_n enough_o to_o exalt_v who_o he_o will_n what_o power_n soever_o be_v in_o the_o creature_n it_o be_v the_o lord_n power_n it_o be_v a_o stream_n from_o his_o ocean_n and_o when_o the_o lord_n be_v please_v to_o remove_v all_o power_n from_o the_o creature_n he_o have_v a_o sufficient_a reserve_n of_o power_n in_o himself_o or_o in_o his_o own_o hand_n by_o which_o he_o can_v command_v deliverance_n yea_o exaltation_n therefore_o do_v not_o speak_v either_o despond_o or_o despare_o as_o if_o all_o hope_n be_v go_v when_o at_o any_o time_n all_o humane_a power_n be_v go_v for_o god_n and_o so_o the_o rain_n which_o fall_v from_o heaven_n because_o that_o be_v as_o it_o be_v cast_v from_o the_o cloud_n to_o the_o earth_n hence_o by_o a_o metaphor_n it_o signify_v to_o teach_v or_o instruct_v because_o holy_a doctrine_n or_o instruction_n come_v down_o like_a rain_n from_o heaven_n upon_o the_o mind_n and_o heart_n of_o those_o that_o be_v teach_v my_o doctrine_n shall_v distil_v as_o the_o dew_n and_o my_o speech_n shall_v drop_v as_o the_o rain_n say_v moses_n deut._n 32.1_o and_o hence_o the_o whole_a law_n of_o god_n be_v express_v by_o a_o word_n in_o the_o hebrew_n come_v from_o this_o root_n that_o be_v pour_v down_o from_o heaven_n in_o shower_n of_o doctrine_n to_o make_v man_n fruitful_a in_o every_o good_a word_n and_o work_n in_o answer_n to_o which_o some_o translate_v this_o latter_a part_n of_o the_o verse_n vulg_n nullus_fw-la ei_fw-la similu_fw-la in_o legislatoribus_fw-la vulg_n there_o be_v no_o lawgiver_n like_a unto_o he_o who_o be_v a_o lawgiver_n like_o he_o or_o there_o be_v no_o lawgiver_n like_o he_o to_o give_v law_n or_o to_o be_v a_o lawgiver_n be_v more_o than_o bare_o to_o be_v a_o teacher_n though_o he_o that_o teach_v do_v also_o in_o a_o sense_n give_v law_n here_o i_o conceive_v we_o take_v the_o fit_a and_o most_o suitable_a signification_n of_o the_o word_n when_o we_o render_v it_o by_o teach_v who_o teach_v like_o he_o as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v none_o can_v teach_v like_o god_n and_o therefore_o sure_o none_o can_v teach_v he_o how_o to_o govern_v the_o world_n or_o to_o dispose_v of_o any_o man_n person_n or_o condition_n as_o thou_o o_o job_n have_v rash_o or_o overbold_o do_v for_o while_o thou_o have_v complain_v so_o much_o and_o so_o often_o of_o his_o deal_n with_o thou_o thou_o have_v upon_o the_o matter_n attempt_v to_o teach_v he_o but_o who_o teach_v like_o he_o where_o shall_v we_o find_v any_o able_a to_o give_v instruction_n and_o apply_v doctrine_n like_o god_n god_n be_v exalt_v infinite_o in_o power_n and_o yet_o he_o condescend_v to_o be_v a_o teacher_n or_o a_o instructor_n god_n do_v not_o stand_v upon_o his_o power_n only_o he_o say_v not_o i_o have_v power_n to_o do_v what_o i_o will_v i_o can_v force_v all_o man_n to_o my_o will_n or_o break_v they_o if_o they_o will_v not_o but_o he_o instruct_v and_o persuade_v he_o labour_v to_o allure_v the_o soul_n into_o a_o right_a understanding_n of_o his_o will_n and_o submission_n to_o it_o who_o teach_v like_o he_o hence_o note_n first_o the_o great_a goodness_n of_o god_n that_o he_o who_o have_v all_o power_n to_o command_v shall_v yet_o vouchsafe_v to_o instruct_v that_o he_o who_o be_v the_o judge_n will_v also_o be_v the_o teacher_n of_o his_o people_n this_o be_v the_o great_a promise_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n they_o shall_v be_v all_o teach_v of_o god_n john_n 6.45_o some_o thing_n may_v be_v know_v by_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n of_o which_o knowledge_n god_n be_v the_o author_n in_o the_o same_o sense_n as_o he_o be_v of_o all_o natural_a power_n and_o faculty_n but_o here_o eliâ—â—_n intend_v a_o spiritual_a knowledge_n both_o of_o god_n and_o of_o ourselves_o or_o a_o teach_n of_o divine_a thing_n by_o divine_a chastening_n both_o with_o respect_n to_o what_o we_o shall_v do_v and_o desire_v as_o also_o with_o respect_n
will_v part_v with_o they_o on_o the_o account_n of_o man_n only_o that_o which_o god_n have_v teach_v we_o abide_v with_o we_o and_o that_o no_o man_n can_v take_v from_o we_o man_n may_v take_v the_o life_n of_o such_o a_o one_o from_o he_o which_o god_n have_v give_v he_o but_o they_o can_v take_v the_o truth_n from_o he_o which_o god_n have_v teach_v he_o what_o god_n teach_v be_v write_v as_o it_o be_v with_o a_o pen_n of_o iron_n and_o the_o point_n of_o a_o diamond_n it_o be_v grave_v upon_o the_o table_n of_o the_o heart_n for_o ever_o thus_o we_o may_v in_o some_o measure_n discern_v who_o be_v teach_v of_o god_n and_o see_v they_o who_o be_v teach_v of_o he_o be_v so_o teach_v we_o may_v very_o well_o insist_v upon_o elihu_n challenge_n who_o teach_v like_o he_o and_o as_o there_o be_v no_o teacher_n like_o god_n so_o neither_o be_v there_o any_o ruler_n like_o god_n this_o also_o be_v teach_v we_o by_o elihu_n as_o a_o matter_n out_o of_o question_n while_o in_o who_o can_v direct_v he_o what_o to_o do_v who_o may_v be_v so_o bold_a with_o god_n who_o be_v the_o sovereign_a lord_n over_o all_o the_o earth_n thus_o to_o enjoin_v he_o his_o way_n hence_o note_n god_n be_v the_o first_o mover_n of_o all_o that_o himself_o do_v no_o man_n have_v show_v he_o or_o enjoin_v he_o his_o way_n he_o be_v the_o fountain_n of_o light_n he_o see_v what_o to_o do_v who_o have_v be_v his_o counsellor_n 1_o cor._n 2.16_o that_o be_v no_o man_n have_v or_o may_v instruct_v he_o isa_n 40.13_o rom._n 11.34_o again_o he_o be_v the_o fountain_n of_o power_n none_o have_v once_o in_o the_o process_n of_o this_o book_n to_o say_v somewhat_o of_o the_o sovereignty_n of_o god_n over_o all_o creature_n and_o therefore_o only_o remind_v it_o here_o who_o have_v enjoin_v he_o his_o way_n or_o who_o can_v say_v thou_o have_v wrought_v iniquity_n the_o world_n be_v full_a of_o iniquity_n but_o in_o god_n there_o be_v none_o at_o all_o as_o god_n be_v not_o oblige_v to_o give_v any_o man_n a_o account_n of_o his_o work_n so_o no_o man_n can_v find_v any_o the_o least_o real_a fault_n or_o defect_n in_o any_o of_o they_o and_o if_o his_o work_n do_v not_o appear_v so_o to_o we_o now_o yet_o at_o last_o they_o will_v appear_v to_o all_o without_o any_o shadow_n of_o iniquity_n samuel_n call_v together_o the_o israelite_n and_o demand_v 1_o sam._n 12.3_o who_o ox_n have_v i_o take_v etc._n etc._n who_o have_v i_o defraud_v etc._n etc._n come_v charge_v i_o witness_n against_o i_o who_o can_v say_v i_o have_v wrought_v iniquity_n it_o be_v much_o and_o a_o rare_a thing_n for_o samuel_n to_o carry_v it_o so_o just_o that_o none_o can_v challenge_v he_o but_o when_o all_o the_o world_n shall_v be_v summon_v before_o god_n he_o will_v be_v able_a to_o put_v the_o thunder_n and_o lightning_n snow_n hail_o and_o rain_n the_o great_a rain_n of_o his_o strength_n see_v i_o say_v these_o cloud_n that_o be_v the_o treasury_n and_o magazine_n of_o such_o terrible_a thing_n be_v at_o the_o command_n of_o god_n let_v not_o his_o faithful_a people_n fear_n for_o when_o the_o wind_n be_v stormy_a when_o the_o cloud_n be_v black_a and_o carry_v as_o we_o think_v nothing_o but_o wrath_n and_o death_n in_o they_o god_n will_v take_v care_n of_o â—hem_n and_o charge_v his_o cloud_n to_o do_v they_o no_o harm_n cloud_n whatsoever_o they_o be_v do_v be_v do_v god_n command_n and_o doubtless_o he_o will_v not_o give_v they_o any_o command_n for_o their_o hurt_n who_o keep_v and_o do_v his_o command_n and_o as_o it_o be_v matter_n of_o comfort_n to_o the_o sit_v and_o appear_v in_o their_o face_n and_o forehead_n we_o often_o see_v cloud_n gather_v in_o the_o brow_n of_o displease_a mortal_n as_o some_o be_v cloud_v with_o sorrow_n so_o other_o be_v cloud_v with_o anger_n and_o wrath_n those_o black_a cloud_n in_o the_o face_n of_o man_n be_v as_o dreadful_a as_o the_o black_a cloud_n in_o the_o air_n yet_o the_o lord_n who_o command_v the_o cloud_n in_o the_o air_n command_v the_o cloud_n of_o anger_n and_o choler_n of_o wrath_n and_o indignation_n rise_v out_o of_o the_o heart_n and_o appear_v in_o the_o face_n of_o man_n and_o can_v blow_v they_o over_o or_o blot_v they_o out_o whensoever_o he_o please_v three_o if_o the_o lord_n by_o his_o command_n order_n the_o cloud_n and_o the_o cloud_n be_v ready_a to_o execute_v his_o command_n then_o let_v we_o have_v high_a thought_n of_o the_o power_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o command_n if_o man_n refuse_v the_o command_n of_o god_n if_o the_o stout_a and_o hard_a heart_n of_o the_o thunder_n then_o sure_o job_n ought_v to_o sit_v down_o convince_v that_o there_o be_v a_o like_a temperament_n of_o equity_n with_o severity_n and_o of_o goodness_n with_o sharpness_n in_o all_o his_o deal_n with_o man_n and_o be_v with_o he_o in_o particular_a that_o be_v the_o scope_n and_o purpose_n of_o elihu_n all_o along_o in_o read_v job_n this_o philosophical_a lectuâ—e_n or_o in_o put_v question_n to_o he_o about_o the_o thing_n of_o nature_n and_o the_o regiment_n of_o god_n in_o these_o inferior_a heaven_n the_o air_n where_o all_o thing_n seem_v to_o move_v without_o rule_n or_o by_o no_o rule_n other_o than_o what_o nature_n alone_o impose_v verse_n 14._o harken_v unto_o this_o o_o job_n we_o have_v more_o than_o once_o meet_v with_o this_o awaken_n exhortation_n which_o call_v for_o such_o a_o harken_v as_o if_o a_o man_n be_v to_o be_v all_o ear_n in_o attend_v what_o be_v speak_v we_o may_v well_o render_v it_o ear_n this_o o_o job_n take_v it_o drink_v second_o the_o word_n may_v refer_v to_o that_o which_o follow_v and_o so_o as_o one_o call_v they_o they_o be_v a_o exordium_n a_o brief_a exordium_n or_o short_a preface_n to_o what_o elihu_n have_v further_a to_o say_v as_o if_o he_o will_v a_o little_a relieve_v the_o spirit_n and_o quicken_v the_o attention_n of_o job_n by_o acquaint_v he_o that_o he_o have_v some_o new_a matter_n to_o lay_v conviction_n and_o instruction_n harken_v unto_o this_o o_o job_n yet_o it_o may_v be_v question_v why_o elihu_n shall_v thus_o stir_v up_o his_o attention_n either_o to_o consider_v what_o he_o have_v speak_v or_o what_o he_o be_v now_o about_o to_o speak_v be_v job_n a_o heedless_a a_o un-attentive_a hearer_n we_o may_v conceive_v he_o be_v occasion_v to_o give_v he_o this_o spur_n or_o excitation_n for_o these_o three_o reason_n or_o at_o least_o some_o of_o they_o first_o we_o may_v suppose_v that_o job_n have_v be_v entertain_v with_o a_o long_a discourse_n begin_v to_o grow_v weary_a and_o slacken_v his_o attention_n and_o therefore_o as_o when_o we_o see_v one_o in_o a_o congregation_n remiss_a in_o hear_v or_o sleep_v out_o a_o weighty_a point_n we_o jog_v he_o or_o say_v harken_v to_o this_o so_o elihu_n here_o hence_o note_n first_o a_o good_a hearer_n of_o the_o word_n may_v sometime_o want_v a_o awaken_n word_n he_o that_o be_v not_o as_o job_n be_v not_o a_o first_o nor_o second_o nor_o third-ground-hearer_n but_o as_o job_n be_v a_o fourth-ground-hearer_n one_o that_o hear_v with_o a_o good_a and_o honest_a heart_n yet_o even_o he_o may_v a_o little_a let_v down_o his_o watch_n and_o give_v just_a occasion_n to_o the_o speaker_n for_o such_o a_o short_a diversion_n as_o elihu_n here_o use_v harken_v i_o pray_v to_o this_o there_o be_v a_o willingness_n of_o spirit_n in_o all_o fourth-ground_n or_o right-hearted_n hearer_n yet_o there_o be_v also_o even_o in_o they_o a_o weakness_n of_o the_o flesh_n corruption_n may_v be_v stir_v temptation_n may_v be_v work_v therefore_o it_o be_v no_o unnecessary_a jealousy_n in_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n sometime_o to_o mingle_v or_o interweave_v such_o passage_n as_o these_o in_o speak_v to_o they_o pray_v hearken_v stir_v up_o and_o awaken_v yourselves_o there_o may_v be_v need_n of_o this_o i_o say_v where_o there_o be_v a_o general_a good_a bend_v of_o heart_n some_o pretend_v hearer_n be_v like_o the_o idol_n of_o the_o heathen_a who_o have_v eye_n and_o see_v not_o ear_n and_o hear_v not_o who_o when_o they_o be_v hear_v set_v themselves_o at_o least_o give_v way_n to_o sleep_v and_o willing_o yield_v to_o the_o drowsiness_n of_o their_o spirit_n this_o show_v a_o evil_a heart_n but_o a_o good_a man_n may_v be_v overtake_v with_o drowsiness_n and_o find_v much_o indisposition_n to_o duty_n while_o he_o be_v in_o duty_n and_o then_o he_o will_v count_v it_o a_o favour_n to_o hear_v such_o a_o word_n as_o this_o cast_n in_o pray_v hearken_v second_o elihu_n may_v afresh_o provoke_v he_o to_o more_o serious_a attention_n because_o the_o matter_n he_o have_v to_o deliver_v be_v of_o more_o importance_n or_o do_v more_o near_o concern_v he_o than_o what_o he_o have_v say_v before_o hence_o note_n though_o the_o whole_a truth_n of_o god_n be_v to_o be_v attend_v to_o yet_o there_o be_v some_o truth_n that_o call_v for_o special_a attention_n here_o be_v a_o accent_n put_v upon_o the_o point_n in_o hand_n harken_v to_o this_o we_o shall_v not_o let_v any_o truth_n fall_v to_o the_o ground_n truth_n be_v precious_a quite_o through_o and_o we_o may_v say_v of_o truth_n as_o of_o gold_n the_o very_a file_n of_o it_o be_v precious_a we_o save_v the_o least_o dust_n of_o gold_n every_o grain_n of_o it_o be_v of_o worth_n and_o so_o be_v every_o grain_n or_o the_o least_o dust_n of_o divine_a truth_n one_o jot_n one_o tittle_n of_o the_o law_n say_v christ_n mat._n 5.18_o shall_v in_o no_o wise_a pass_n till_o all_o be_v fulfil_v sure_o then_o no_o jot_n no_o tittle_n of_o it_o shall_v be_v light_o pass_v by_o by_o we_o yet_o there_o be_v some_o divine_a truth_n like_o stud_n of_o mass_n gold_n or_o as_o jewel_n which_o ought_v to_o be_v more_o careful_o attend_v to_o and_o lay_v up_o in_o the_o cabinet_n of_o the_o heart_n some_o truth_n have_v a_o emphasis_n a_o selah_n set_v upon_o they_o o_o harken_v to_o these_o christ_n say_v in_o the_o gospel_n about_o the_o tthe_n of_o mint_n annise_v and_o cummin_n these_o thing_n you_o ought_v to_o do_v but_o be_v sure_a you_o do_v not_o leave_v the_o weighty_a matter_n of_o the_o law_n judgement_n mercy_n and_o faith_n undo_v matth._n 23.23_o so_o say_v i_o attend_v to_o the_o least_o truth_n but_o be_v sure_a you_o attend_v to_o fundamental_a truth_n to_o those_o truth_n upon_o which_o the_o whole_a weight_n of_o the_o soul_n stand_v such_o be_v the_o great_a mystery_n of_o godliness_n god_n manifest_a in_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o great_a grace_n of_o faith_n in_o that_o mystery_n these_o with_o several_a other_o be_v the_o fundamental_o the_o very_a vital_n of_o religion_n all_o fall_v and_o die_v unless_o you_o stand_v fast_o and_o live_v in_o these_o o_o harken_v unto_o they_o three_o elihu_n may_v be_v conceive_v to_o speak_v thus_o to_o job_n because_o he_o see_v he_o about_o to_o interrupt_v he_o possible_o he_o may_v perceive_v a_o have_v need_n of_o patience_n as_o to_z continuance_n in_o hear_v some_o will_v fain_o have_v do_v present_o they_o can_v sit_v it_o out_o a_o hour_n be_v a_o year_n to_o they_o the_o
office_n and_o place_n be_v to_o do_v justice_n yet_o they_o have_v nothing_o of_o justice_n no_o tincture_n of_o it_o in_o they_o they_o neither_o fear_v god_n nor_o regard_n maâ—_n to_o do_v he_o any_o justice_n as_o the_o unjust_a judge_n be_v describe_v luk._n 18.2_o and_o with_o most_o justice_n be_v a_o very_a scarce_a commodity_n they_o have_v but_o a_o very_a little_a of_o it_o and_o they_o distribute_v it_o very_o poor_o and_o spare_o where_o almost_o be_v the_o man_n to_o be_v find_v that_o have_v plenty_n of_o justice_n in_o himself_o and_o distribute_v it_o plentiful_o to_o other_o there_o be_v sure_o a_o great_a scarcity_n of_o justice_n in_o the_o justicer_n of_o jerusalem_n when_o the_o lord_n by_o his_o prophet_n jer._n 5.1_o offer_v to_o pardon_v the_o whole_a city_n if_o upon_o the_o send_n forth_o of_o his_o wâ—it_n of_o enquiry_n the_o name_n of_o any_o one_o man_n can_v be_v return_v that_o execute_v judgement_n o_o that_o dearth_n of_o justice_n and_o in_o what_o place_n may_v we_o hope_v to_o find_v plenty_n of_o justice_n among_o man_n when_o so_o little_a of_o it_o be_v to_o be_v find_v in_o jerusalem_n the_o city_n of_o god_n yet_o this_o may_v comfort_v we_o that_o though_o there_o be_v little_a of_o it_o in_o or_o among_o man_n there_o be_v plenty_n of_o it_o in_o god_n and_o that_o there_o be_v plenty_n of_o justice_n in_o god_n i_o will_v demonstrate_v these_o five_o way_n first_o he_o have_v plenty_n of_o justice_n who_o deal_v just_o with_o every_o man_n god_n give_v every_o man_n his_o due_a all_o his_o due_a and_o nothing_o but_o his_o due_n more_o distinct_o take_v this_o in_o two_o branch_n first_o he_o that_o reward_v all_o that_o be_v good_a with_o good_a not_o this_o or_o that_o man_n not_o his_o kinsman_n or_o his_o friend_n only_o but_o every_o man_n that_o be_v good_a with_o good_a he_o have_v plenty_n of_o justice_n thus_o do_v god_n the_o respect_n which_o god_n have_v to_o the_o person_n of_o good_a man_n be_v like_o the_o respect_n which_o good_a man_n have_v to_o the_o command_n of_o god_n it_o be_v universal_a he_o respect_v they_o all_o as_o they_o give_v he_o plentiful_a obedience_n have_v a_o respect_n to_o all_o his_o commandment_n so_o he_o give_v they_o plentiful_a justice_n he_o have_v respect_n to_o all_o their_o person_n to_o all_o their_o working_n to_o all_o their_o way_n which_o be_v holy_a just_a and_o good_a again_o second_o he_o have_v plenty_n of_o justice_n who_o punish_v all_o that_o do_v evil_a not_o wink_v at_o nor_o spare_a friend_n or_o kindred_n sure_o then_o there_o be_v plenty_n of_o justice_n in_o god_n for_o as_o he_o reward_v all_o the_o good_a with_o good_a so_o he_o reward_v all_o evil_a man_n with_o evil_a that_o be_v all_o the_o reward_n they_o shall_v have_v and_o they_o shall_v have_v plenty_n of_o it_o psal_n 31.23_o he_o plenteous_o reward_v the_o proud_a doer_n the_o proud_a shall_v have_v and_o drink_v up_o the_o last_o the_o residue_n the_o remainder_n the_o very_a dregs_o of_o the_o bitter_a cup_n of_o the_o cup_n of_o tremble_a as_o the_o hebrew_n elegancy_n use_v by_o the_o psalmist_n intimate_v tribulation_n and_o anguish_n upon_o every_o soul_n of_o man_n that_o do_v evil_a for_o there_o be_v no_o respect_n of_o person_n with_o god_n rom._n 2.9_o 11._o as_o he_o will_v punish_v none_o but_o evil-doer_n so_o he_o will_v punish_v they_o every_o one_o except_o they_o repent_v second_o with_o the_o lord_n be_v plenty_n of_o justice_n for_o he_o know_v the_o whole_a compass_n of_o justice_n he_o have_v the_o clear_a idea_n of_o it_o in_o his_o understanding_n he_o know_v all_o the_o rule_n of_o it_o or_o rather_o be_v the_o rule_n of_o it_o all_o the_o rule_n of_o justice_n come_v out_o from_o he_o and_o be_v but_o the_o signification_n of_o his_o own_o mind_n therefore_o he_o must_v needs_o know_v they_o and_o be_v well_o skill_v in_o they_o some_o man_n have_v a_o good_a mind_n to_o do_v justice_n yet_o have_v no_o plenty_n of_o it_o because_o they_o be_v unskilful_a in_o the_o rule_n of_o it_o the_o law_n both_o of_o god_n and_o man_n a_o judge_n that_o be_v blind_a through_o ignorance_n and_o have_v not_o a_o gift_n of_o knowledge_n and_o understanding_n in_o the_o law_n falter_v in_o do_v or_o be_v unfit_a to_o do_v justice_n as_o much_o as_o â—e_v â—hat_n be_v blind_v with_o gift_n oâ—_n bias_v by_o relation_n and_o private_a passion_n he_o that_o be_v blind_a the_o former_a way_n can_v have_v and_o he_o that_o be_v blind_v by_o any_o of_o the_o latter_a way_n will_v never_o dâ—_n plenty_n of_o justice_n but_o as_o the_o lord_n have_v a_o infinite_o cleaâ—_n eye_n as_o to_o the_o rule_n â—o_o no_o gift_n can_v blind_v he_o nor_o can_v any_o relation_n put_v ouâ—_n his_o eye_n from_o see_v a_o faulâ—_n nor_o divert_v he_o from_o punish_v it_o isa_n 27.11_o it_o be_v a_o people_n of_o no_o understanding_n either_o to_o do_v goâ—â—_n or_o to_o depaâ—t_v from_o evil_n therefore_o he_o that_o make_v they_o that_o be_v a_o near_a relâ—â—ion_n will_v not_o have_v mercy_n on_o they_o and_o he_o that_o form_v they_o that_o be_v the_o â—ame_n will_v show_v they_o no_o favour_n as_o if_o the_o lord_n have_v say_v justice_n shall_v be_v do_v though_o the_o work_n of_o my_o own_o hand_n be_v undo_v by_o it_o there_o be_v plenty_n of_o justice_n and_o as_o god_n know_v the_o rule_n of_o the_o law_n perfect_o and_o will_v not_o be_v turn_v aside_o from_o it_o so_o he_o know_v the_o matter_n of_o fact_n perfect_o and_o can_v be_v mislead_v about_o that_o upon_o which_o mistake_v some_o who_o have_v great_a knowledge_n of_o the_o rule_n of_o the_o law_n yet_o do_v not_o plenty_n of_o justice_n they_o often_o condemn_v the_o innocent_a and_o acquit_v the_o nocent_a because_o they_o find_v not_o out_o the_o truth_n of_o their_o cause_n but_o be_v misinform_v about_o it_o but_o the_o lord_n be_v a_o god_n of_o knowledge_n by_o he_o action_n be_v weigh_v he_o know_v not_o only_o the_o matter_n of_o law_n but_o the_o matter_n of_o fact_n too_o and_o therefore_o with_o he_o there_o be_v plenty_n of_o justice_n three_o there_o must_v needs_o be_v plenty_n of_o justice_n will_z h_z god_n because_o he_o know_v the_o spirit_n and_o hearâ—_n with_o which_o every_o man_n act_n he_o know_v whether_o a_o thing_n be_v do_v malicious_o or_o mere_o by_o a_o surprise_n of_o passion_n justice_n be_v guide_v much_o by_o that_o consideration_n in_o some_o case_n the_o lo_n d_o know_v the_o heart_n wherewith_o every_o thing_n be_v do_v and_o the_o they_o have_v not_o power_n or_o be_v not_o able_a to_o carry_v it_o out_o against_o potent_a offender_n but_o be_v force_v to_o forbear_v the_o do_v of_o justice_n because_o at_o present_a they_o can_v the_o do_v of_o justice_n require_v strength_n of_o hand_n as_o well_o as_o strength_n of_o law_n and_o integrity_n of_o heart_n david_n have_v a_o good_a mind_n to_o do_v justice_n upon_o joab_n though_o near_o relate_v to_o he_o â—â—en_o he_o have_v under_o a_o pretence_n of_o friendship_n slay_v abner_n but_o he_o â—aw_v himself_o under_o a_o necessity_n of_o forbearance_n at_o too_o hard_o for_o the_o lord_n he_o can_v call_v they_o to_o a_o account_n at_o any_o time_n david_n know_v that_o very_a well_o and_o therefore_o he_o refer_v joab_n to_o god_n justice_n in_o the_o close_a of_o that_o verse_n two_o sam._n 2.39_o the_o lord_n shall_v reward_v the_o doer_n of_o evil_n according_a to_o his_o wickedness_n can_v thy_o heart_n endure_v or_o can_v thy_o hand_n be_v and_o therefore_o he_o be_v to_o be_v fear_v there_o be_v mercy_n also_o with_o god_n in_o moderate_v our_o affliction_n that_o be_v spare_v mercy_n too_o and_o therefore_o he_o be_v to_o be_v fear_v
