country_n and_o it_o be_v true_a matter_n of_o religion_n be_v first_o and_o proper_o considerable_a in_o the_o church_n themselves_o by_o the_o officer_n and_o brethren_n of_o the_o church_n but_o if_o magistrate_n shall_v find_v brethren_n or_o officer_n defective_a or_o neglective_a it_o will_v be_v their_o part_n to_o give_v free_a passage_n to_o all_o undertake_n for_o redress_n and_o if_o any_o thing_n come_v to_o your_o cognizance_n before_o it_o come_v to_o the_o church_n than_o it_o will_v concern_v you_o to_o stir_v up_o the_o church_n to_o look_v to_o doctrine_n worship_n and_o government_n and_o you_o will_v find_v in_o this_o case_n you_o will_v deliver_v your_o soul_n from_o danger_n and_o church-officer_n and_o people_n too_o otherwise_o you_o see_v the_o danger_n of_o corruption_n in_o religion_n if_o the_o earth_n be_v corrupt_a the_o sea_n will_v be_v corrupt_a and_o the_o river_n and_o fountain_n and_o the_o sun_n will_v be_v corrupt_a and_o all_o alike_o more_o or_o less_o afflict_a and_o plague_v of_o god_n for_o toleration_n of_o such_o evil_n as_o be_v find_v among_o they_o so_o much_o for_o the_o first_o point_n let_v i_o speak_v a_o word_n of_o where_o the_o battle_n shall_v have_v the_o like_a success_n that_o it_o have_v of_o old_a unto_o the_o destruction_n of_o god_n enemy_n the_o utter_a ruin_n of_o antichrist_n as_o of_o saul_n the_o that_o the_o zeal_n of_o christian_a prince_n have_v dry_v up_o those_o stream_n of_o superstition_n to_o the_o utter_a confusion_n of_o the_o man_n of_o sin_n then_o will_v they_o also_o see_v that_o that_o jesus_n who_o they_o have_v resist_v all_o this_o while_n even_o that_o jesus_n be_v the_o messiah_n 2._o there_o be_v also_o another_o stumble_a block_n which_o some_o of_o their_o more_o learned_a stand_v upon_o that_o when_o the_o messiah_n come_v he_o shall_v destroy_v the_o four_o monarchy_n speak_v of_o dan._n 2.45_o the_o stone_n that_o be_v cut_v out_o of_o the_o mountain_n without_o hand_n break_v in_o piece_n the_o iron_n the_o brass_n the_o clay_n the_o silver_n and_o the_o gold_n now_o say_v they_o if_o your_o jesus_n be_v the_o messiah_n how_o come_v it_o to_o judah_n and_o jerusalem_n when_o they_o see_v family_n church_n and_o commonwealth_n all_o pluck_v up_o by_o the_o root_n in_o the_o loss_n of_o one_o man_n such_o be_v the_o mourning_n of_o every_o indeed_o make_v more_o answ_n noise_n but_o not_o be_v a_o great_a mourning_n when_o a_o man_n mourn_v for_o his_o first_o bear_v the_o window_n of_o heaven_n be_v open_a the_o judgement_n of_o god_n be_v open_a and_o the_o fountain_n of_o the_o great_a deep_a be_v open_a this_o or_o that_o deep_a affliction_n seize_v upon_o a_o man_n nature_n set_v a_o man_n on_o work_n to_o mourn_v and_o grace_n do_v not_o hinder_v it_o but_o when_o a_o man_n mourn_v for_o want_v of_o christ_n the_o window_n of_o heaven_n indeed_o be_v open_a but_o this_o mourning_n find_v much_o opposition_n below_o even_o never_o wear_v it_o out_o whereas_o other_o sorrow_n though_o it_o be_v for_o a_o man_n only_a son_n will_v not_o last_v always_o time_n will_v wear_v it_o out_o it_o be_v a_o increase_v sorrow_n other_o sorrow_n be_v more_o moderate_v every_o day_n than_o other_o but_o this_o grow_v still_o more_o and_o more_o powerful_a and_o will_v eat_v up_o all_o other_o grief_n if_o a_o man_n have_v but_o a_o wound_n in_o his_o conscience_n it_o will_v wear_v out_o all_o other_o cross_n but_o a_o wound_a spirit_n who_o can_v bear_v prov._n 18.14_o it_o be_v a_o very_a strong_a mourning_n as_o have_v not_o so_o much_o mixture_n with_o lust_n and_o carnal_a affection_n when_o david_n mourn_v for_o absalon_n there_o be_v much_o carnal_a affection_n in_o it_o in_o so_o much_o that_o joab_n
