itself_o which_o be_v give_v to_o a_o believer_n as_o the_o outgo_n of_o the_o life_n of_o god_n within_o he_o work_v its_o own_o work_n of_o grace_n and_o sanctification_n in_o he_o and_o communicate_v the_o same_o holiness_n to_o he_o a_o member_n as_o to_o christ_n the_o head_n though_o in_o a_o far_o different_a degree_n 2._o this_o life_n of_o christ_n in_o a_o christian_a will_v manifest_v itself_o in_o comfort_n as_o well_o as_o in_o holiness_n and_o this_o be_v the_o life_n of_o our_o life_n and_o the_o next_o and_o necessary_a result_n of_o holiness_n wherefore_o it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n stand_v first_o in_o righteousness_n and_o then_o present_o in_o peace_n and_o joy_n and_o the_o same_o spirit_n that_o be_v give_v for_o a_o sanctifier_n be_v also_o give_v for_o a_o comforter_n and_o paul_n say_v rom._n 8._o that_o to_o be_v spiritual_o mind_v be_v not_o only_a life_n but_o life_n and_o peace_n d_o for_o when_o a_o believer_n find_v in_o himself_o a_o new_a nature_n through_o a_o new_a birth_n and_o the_o law_n of_o god_n within_o his_o heart_n and_o some_o strength_n to_o obey_v god_n and_o to_o do_v his_o will_n than_o he_o begin_v be_v not_o a_o natural_a but_o a_o spiritual_a life_n not_o a_o humane_a but_o a_o divine_a life_n not_o a_o earthly_a but_o a_o heavenly_a life_n not_o a_o temporal_a but_o a_o eternal_a life_n for_o from_o the_o stock_n be_v old_a scripture_n doctrine_n acknowledge_v by_o all_o protestant_a divine_n but_o that_o this_o life_n which_o be_v receive_v through_o union_n unto_o christ_n be_v the_o life_n of_o justification_n as_o mr_n dell_n here_o affirm_v by_o way_n of_o eminence_n at_o least_o if_o not_o exclusion_n and_o do_v not_o equal_o carry_v in_o it_o the_o life_n of_o sanctification_n also_o out_o of_o which_o a_o believer_n bring_v forth_o fruit_n of_o righteousness_n to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n seem_v not_o to_o hold_v accordance_n with_o john_n 15.4,5,8_o or_o in_o his_o holy_a divine_a nature_n he_o be_v also_o god_n bless_v for_o ever_o will_v he_o affirm_v so_o much_o of_o any_o believer_n i_o hope_v not_o d_o these_o word_n of_o mr_n dell_n be_v so_o pure_a and_o precious_a that_o every_o believer_n can_v but_o embrace_v they_o for_o truth_n and_o methinks_v they_o do_v so_o plain_o show_v that_o the_o will_n of_o god_n which_o a_o believer_n do_v obey_v that_o be_v to_o say_v his_o revealed_z will_n be_v the_o law_n of_o god_n within_o his_o heart_n put_v into_o his_o inward_a part_n by_o the_o spirit_n as_o to_o the_o knowledge_n and_o love_n of_o it_o and_o strength_n in_o some_o degree_n to_o fulfil_v it_o that_o i_o can_v hardly_o believe_v that_o such_o word_n shall_v proceed_v from_o he_o as_o we_o find_v in_o the_o 3._o section_n of_o this_o book_n viz._n god_n himself_o which_o dwell_v in_o they_o be_v the_o new_a law_n according_a to_o which_o they_o live_v for_o be_v the_o will_n of_o god_n which_o a_o believer_n have_v some_o strength_n to_o do_v god_n himself_o it_o be_v very_o strange_a if_o any_o understand_a man_n shall_v so_o apprehend_v see_v the_o will_n of_o god_n which_o believer_n be_v strengthen_v to_o observe_v and_o obey_v be_v only_o his_o will_n of_o command_n make_v know_v to_o man_n as_o the_o rule_n of_o their_o sanctification_n which_o be_v a_o different_a thing_n from_o god_n himself_o as_o a_o lord_n and_o his_o law_n differ_v 1_o thes_n 4.2,3_o e_z the_o former_a word_n in_o this_o paragraph_n i_o conceive_v in_o a_o sound_a sense_n may_v be_v admit_v but_o these_o word_n seem_v to_o carry_v in_o they_o a_o incredible_a mistake_n for_o if_o by_o this_o and_o that_o life_n in_o these_o word_n be_v mean_v the_o life_n of_o the_o first_o adam_n which_o be_v crucify_v in_o believer_n and_o the_o life_n of_o the_o second_o adam_n impart_v to_o believer_n according_a to_o what_o immediate_o go_v before_o they_o then_o speak_v thus_o much_o to_o wit_n that_o the_o life_n of_o the_o first_o adam_n crucify_v in_o believer_n be_v the_o natural_a life_n of_o man_n of_o which_o he_o be_v deprive_v in_o corporal_a death_n and_o with_o which_o a_o man_n may_v part_v ere_o he_o partake_v of_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n whereas_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o clear_a in_o the_o scripture_n then_o that_o the_o life_n of_o the_o first_o adam_n crucify_v in_o believer_n be_v the_o life_n of_o sin_n with_o which_o no_o man_n can_v possible_o part_v ere_o he_o partake_v of_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n and_o which_o be_v a_o very_a different_a thing_n from_o that_o life_n with_o which_o a_o man_n part_v at_o the_o hour_n of_o death_n in_o relation_n to_o which_o life_n alone_o it_o be_v true_a according_a to_o mr_n dell_n word_n that_o if_o we_o part_v with_o it_o ere_o we_o partake_v of_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n the_o second_o death_n must_v needs_o swallow_v we_o up_o sect_n xi_o yet_o not_o i_o but_o christ_n live_v in_o i_o a_o and_o this_o he_o speak_v lest_o any_o one_o shall_v think_v that_o the_o life_n he_o live_v after_o his_o crucify_a with_o christ_n be_v only_o his_o own_o humane_a life_n purisied_a and_o refine_v i_o say_v lest_o any_o one_o shall_v think_v he_o live_v now_o the_o life_n of_o his_o own_o refine_a &_o spiritualised_a reason_n and_o judgement_n and_o prudence_n and_o will_v etc._n etc._n distinct_a and_o apart_o from_o christ_n therefore_o he_o add_v yet_o not_o i_o but_o christ_n live_v in_o i_o and_o each_o of_o these_o clause_n be_v very_o considerable_a yet_o not_o i_o b_o i_o live_v yet_o not_o i_o by_o which_o word_n it_o may_v appear_v that_o a_o christian_n be_v so_o crucify_a with_o christ_n that_o in_o this_o crucify_a he_o lose_v not_o only_o his_o own_o proper_a life_n but_o which_o must_v needs_o follow_v his_o personality_n also_o for_o through_o faith_n his_o soul_n and_o body_n live_v no_o more_o any_o proper_a life_n of_o their_o own_o as_o before_o but_o be_v take_v up_o into_o the_o nature_n and_o person_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o in_o he_o he_o subsist_v life_n and_o act_n as_o a_o member_n in_o the_o man_n and_o as_o a_o branch_n in_o the_o vine_n and_o so_o can_v true_o say_v after_o faith_n
