performance_n of_o any_o thing_n that_o we_o desire_v of_o he_o and_o this_o because_o in_o many_o case_n it_o may_v seem_v to_o linger_v and_o we_o may_v be_v apt_a to_o faint_v i_o shall_v brief_o set_v before_o you_o two_o or_o three_o consideration_n to_o uphold_v your_o heart_n till_o your_o father_n hour_n come_v consider_v that_o the_o father_n wait_v for_o the_o good_a hour_n as_o well_o as_o you_o do_v you_o wait_v to_o receive_v mercy_n he_o wait_v to_o show_v mercy_n do_v you_o wait_v that_o he_o may_v be_v gracious_a he_o wait_v that_o he_o may_v be_v gracious_a too_o isa_n 30.18_o why_o be_v you_o so_o impatient_a then_o why_o shall_v not_o you_o be_v well_o content_v and_o please_v to_o wait_v as_o well_o as_o he_o shall_v all_o the_o wait_a be_v on_o his_o side_n wheel_n that_o turn_v in_o it_o and_o they_o must_v move_v about_o in_o time_n too_o quick_a a_o motion_n will_v disorder_v all_o the_o lord_n have_v many_o thing_n to_o bring_v about_o in_o such_o a_o business_n and_o therefore_o he_o go_v onward_o with_o it_o slow_o by_o degree_n and_o so_o at_o length_n he_o bring_v it_o to_o perfection_n he_o mean_v to_o make_v a_o goodly_a structure_n and_o therefore_o he_o be_v lay_v the_o foundation_n deep_a and_o low_a that_o he_o may_v raise_v the_o frame_n of_o mercy_n and_o salvation_n which_o he_o mean_v to_o build_v upon_o it_o high_a and_o firm_a that_o it_o may_v never_o be_v remove_v again_o let_v we_o consider_v if_o the_o hour_n of_o mercy_n linger_v that_o the_o fault_n be_v in_o ourselves_o alas_o god_n labour_v hard_a about_o we_o but_o we_o be_v knotty_a piece_n we_o will_v not_o sudden_o be_v bring_v to_o any_o frame_n we_o be_v not_o qualify_v for_o a_o cure_n and_o extraordinary_a mercy_n by_o and_o by_o oh_o what_o a_o task_n god_n have_v to_o humble_v we_o to_o make_v we_o sensible_a of_o undeservingness_n to_o qualify_v we_o so_o that_o we_o may_v prize_v the_o mercy_n and_o use_v the_o mercy_n as_o we_o ought_v to_o do_v so_o the_o while_n he_o be_v mould_v we_o and_o fit_v we_o he_o may_v complain_v of_o we_o as_o once_o he_o do_v of_o israel_n will_v you_o never_o be_v make_v fit_a when_o will_v it_o once_o be_v we_o have_v such_o strong_a corruption_n in_o we_o that_o they_o will_v not_o be_v subdue_v we_o have_v such_o proud_a and_o stubborn_a heart_n that_o they_o will_v not_o be_v bring_v down_o so_o that_o if_o god_n be_v long_o about_o we_o and_o if_o he_o keep_v we_o under_o hand_n we_o have_v cause_n to_o thank_v ourselves_o and_o the_o perverseness_n of_o our_o own_o heart_n let_v we_o consider_v that_o the_o father_n hour_n will_v come_v in_o which_o he_o will_v show_v we_o mercy_n he_o will_v arise_v and_o have_v mercy_n on_o zion_n the_o needy_a shall_v not_o always_o be_v forget_v nor_o the_o expectation_n of_o the_o poor_a fail_n for_o ever_o psal_n 9.18_o though_o he_o hide_v himself_o yet_o he_o will_v be_v a_o saviour_n notwithstanding_o and_o therefore_o this_o let_v we_o depend_v and_o settle_v on_o let_v we_o keep_v our_o heart_n to_o this_o with_o the_o poor_a afflict_a church_n isa_n 25.9_o loe_o this_o be_v our_o god_n we_o have_v wait_v for_o he_o who_o god_n the_o father_n give_v he_o as_o before_o have_v everlasting_a life_n this_o shall_v suffice_v in_o brief_a for_o confirmation_n of_o the_o former_a member_n of_o the_o point_n that_o jesus_n christ_n have_v power_n to_o give_v eternal_a life_n to_o all_o such_o as_o be_v bestow_v upon_o he_o by_o his_o father_n the_o second_o follow_v he_o have_v no_o power_n at_o all_o to_o give_v this_o life_n to_o any_o other_o it_o be_v not_o in_o the_o power_n of_o jesus_n christ_n as_o mediator_n to_o save_v a_o man_n who_o be_v not_o give_v he_o by_o his_o father_n if_o he_o have_v not_o bequeath_v they_o over_o to_o the_o lord_n christ_n it_o be_v beyond_o the_o reach_n of_o his_o authority_n as_o mediator_n to_o infuse_v this_o life_n into_o they_o the_o execution_n of_o his_o power_n in_o this_o regard_n you_o see_v be_v confine_v to_o such_o only_a as_o thou_o have_v give_v he_o power_n over_o all_o flesh_n that_o he_o shall_v give_v eternal_a life_n to_o as_o many_o not_o to_o choose_v who_o he_o will_v quicken_v to_o the_o life_n of_o grace_n and_o glory_n for_o if_o he_o have_v be_v free_a in_o this_o regard_n there_o be_v no_o doubt_n he_o will_v have_v pitch_v upon_o his_o own_o countryman_n his_o own_o ally_n his_o own_o kindred_n before_o other_o whereas_o as_o the_o evangelist_n observe_v he_o come_v to_o his_o own_o among_o they_o he_o begin_v his_o ministry_n and_o his_o own_o receive_v he_o not_o but_o he_o must_v take_v such_o as_o his_o father_n choose_v and_o give_v he_o to_o be_v quicken_v by_o he_o those_o who_o his_o father_n give_v he_o only_o those_o and_o all_o those_o he_o must_v keep_v and_o raise_v up_o and_o give_v they_o everlasting_a life_n as_o you_o may_v see_v john_n 6.39.40_o so_o that_o you_o see_v as_o mediator_n christ_n have_v no_o power_n to_o give_v eternal_a life_n to_o any_o but_o those_o who_o be_v bestow_v upon_o he_o by_o his_o father_n reason_n and_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v so_o because_o as_o mediator_n he_o be_v send_v out_o by_o the_o father_n he_o be_v the_o father_n minister_n the_o father_n servant_n so_o he_o call_v he_o isa_n 42.1_o behold_v my_o servant_n who_o i_o uphold_v and_o servant_n be_v to_o do_v their_o master_n will_n and_o not_o their_o own_o no_o doubt_v the_o will_n of_o jesus_n christ_n as_o he_o be_v man_n will_v have_v carry_v he_o to_o save_v those_o who_o those_o his_o father_n have_v appoint_v for_o he_o to_o become_v a_o people_n to_o he_o it_o be_v to_o be_v consider_v that_o the_o father_n have_v call_v he_o servant_n speak_v of_o he_o so_o as_o one_o that_o will_v in_o every_o thing_n be_v order_v by_o he_o mat._n 12.18_o which_o be_v indeed_o a_o parallel_n of_o that_o in_o isa_n 42.1_o behold_v my_o servant_n who_o i_o have_v choose_v speak_v of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n he_o shall_v show_v judgement_n to_o the_o gentile_n he_o shall_v not_o strive_v nor_o cry_v neither_o shall_v any_o hear_v his_o voice_n in_o the_o street_n a_o bruise_a read_n shall_v he_o not_o break_v and_o smoke_a flax_n he_o shall_v not_o quench_v this_o and_o this_o he_o shall_v do_v and_o this_o he_o shall_v not_o do_v say_v god_n the_o father_n he_o be_v my_o servant_n and_o i_o will_v order_v he_o at_o my_o pleasure_n and_o so_o our_o saviour_n christ_n himself_o profess_v upon_o all_o occasion_n that_o he_o will_v be_v obedient_a to_o his_o father_n and_o that_o he_o can_v do_v nothing_o otherwise_o then_o he_o will_v have_v he_o and_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o he_o can_v quicken_v none_o but_o those_o that_o be_v bestow_v upon_o he_o by_o his_o father_n to_o be_v quicken_v by_o he_o it_o be_v not_o that_o he_o have_v not_o power_n as_o he_o be_v god_n to_o quicken_v who_o he_o will_v as_o his_o own_o expression_n be_v john_n 5.21_o in_o this_o respect_n he_o be_v equal_a to_o his_o father_n for_o as_o the_o father_n raise_v up_o the_o dead_a and_o quicken_v they_o so_o the_o son_n quicken_v who_o he_o will_n it_o be_v act_n that_o he_o have_v not_o in_o himself_o enough_o of_o merit_n or_o enough_o of_o spirit_n to_o raise_v up_o all_o the_o people_n in_o the_o world_n to_o the_o life_n of_o grace_n and_o glory_n it_o be_v not_o that_o his_o grace_n be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o subdue_v and_o overcome_v the_o great_a obstinacy_n and_o rebellion_n in_o the_o heart_n and_o will_n of_o man_n the_o most_o extreme_a indisposition_n though_o they_o be_v as_o dry_a tone_n yet_o he_o can_v gather_v they_o together_o and_o make_v they_o to_o stand_v up_o and_o live_v but_o it_o be_v because_o as_o mediator_n he_o be_v a_o servant_n to_o the_o father_n and_o must_v do_v his_o father_n will_n and_o he_o will_v have_v he_o give_v this_o life_n to_o none_o but_o those_o who_o he_o make_v over_o to_o he_o by_o a_o deed_n of_o gift_n to_o be_v his_o member_n who_o he_o elect_v in_o he_o as_o the_o expression_n be_v eph._n 1.4_o our_o saviour_n put_v all_o this_o together_o in_o that_o place_n so_o often_o cite_v john_n 6.37_o 38._o all_o that_o the_o father_n give_v i_o shall_v come_v to_o i_o and_o i_o will_v raise_v they_o up_o and_o give_v they_o everlasting_a life_n as_o afterward_o all_o they_o and_o only_o they_o and_o why_o so_o for_o i_o come_v down_o from_o heaven_n not_o to_o do_v my_o own_o will_n but_o the_o will_n of_o he_o that_o send_v i_o my_o own_o will_n as_o i_o within_o we_o we_o pity_v they_o and_o melt_v upon_o they_o they_o have_v be_v in_o their_o grave_n so_o long_o and_o christ_n have_v call_v so_o long_o upon_o they_o in_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o order_n no_o my_o beloved_n no_o such_o matter_n this_o be_v the_o will_n of_o god_n even_o your_o sanctification_n that_o as_o he_o who_o have_v call_v you_o be_v holy_a so_o you_o shall_v be_v holy_a in_o all_o manner_n of_o conversation_n and_o therefore_o while_o you_o wallow_v in_o your_o lust_n while_o you_o defile_v yourselves_o with_o every_o sin_n you_o do_v not_o follow_v god_n in_o their_o own_o way_n the_o way_n which_o of_o themselves_o they_o choose_v and_o follow_v this_o be_v a_o formidable_a thing_n indeed_o and_o therefore_o he_o be_v wont_a to_o execute_v this_o in_o the_o close_a of_o all_o as_o the_o heavy_a of_o his_o judgement_n as_o have_v nothing_o leave_v but_o this_o to_o show_v the_o fierceness_n of_o his_o wrath_n and_o fury_n on_o a_o person_n or_o a_o people_n when_o he_o have_v prove_v and_o try_v man_n every_o way_n and_o nothing_o will_v prevail_v with_o they_o this_o be_v the_o last_o the_o part_a blow_n he_o give_v they_o over_o to_o lord_n in_o one_o way_n you_o shall_v be_v order_v by_o he_o in_o another_o if_o you_o will_v not_o be_v order_v by_o the_o precept_n you_o shall_v be_v order_v by_o the_o threaten_a if_o you_o will_v not_o do_v his_o will_n his_o will_n shall_v certain_o be_v do_v upon_o you_o if_o you_o submit_v not_o here_o to_o his_o command_a will_n you_o shall_v be_v force_v to_o submit_v to_o his_o condemn_a will_n hereafter_o here_o you_o say_v you_o will_v not_o hear_v you_o will_v not_o do_v the_o lord_n command_v you_o this_o and_o that_o but_o you_o resist_v and_o stand_v it_o out_o and_o you_o
