shall_v come_v to_o he_o by_o his_o son_n and_o they_o shall_v be_v accept_v and_o all_o their_o former_a iniquity_n shall_v be_v no_o block_n no_o rub_n in_o the_o way_n he_o will_v embrace_v they_o as_o free_o as_o if_o they_o have_v never_o sin_v against_o he_o i_o say_v if_o such_o a_o thing_n shall_v be_v it_o will_v be_v a_o miracle_n of_o mercy_n but_o yet_o for_o all_o this_o it_o will_v not_o persuade_v the_o heart_n of_o one_o sinner_n to_o submit_v to_o god_n this_o can_v not_o overcome_v the_o heart_n of_o man_n to_o jesus_n christ_n and_o again_o on_o the_o other_o side_n if_o one_o shall_v come_v from_o the_o dead_a god_n shall_v send_v one_o from_o the_o pit_n of_o destruction_n to_o declare_v to_o bear_v witness_n of_o the_o unspeakable_a torment_n that_o be_v there_o and_o shall_v declare_v that_o way_n be_v broad_a and_o many_o walk_n in_o the_o way_n to_o destruction_n and_o that_o unbelief_n it_o be_v the_o ready_a way_n though_o he_o shall_v declare_v that_o every_o man_n and_o woman_n live_v that_o seek_v not_o after_o jesus_n christ_n and_o have_v not_o a_o interest_n in_o he_o be_v like_a soon_o or_o late_a to_o come_v into_o the_o same_o lake_n of_o condemnation_n it_o will_v be_v a_o tirrable_a miracle_n of_o judgement_n but_o yet_o all_o this_o will_v not_o work_v upon_o the_o heart_n of_o one_o sinner_n no_o our_o saviour_n say_v to_o such_o man_n and_o woman_n that_o sit_v under_o the_o gospel_n and_o hear_v what_o i_o speak_v from_o day_n to_o day_n and_o thereby_o be_v not_o wont_a to_o submit_v to_o god_n why_o neither_o will_v they_o believe_v though_o one_o shall_v come_v from_o the_o dead_a three_o the_o point_n may_v be_v further_o clear_v by_o our_o own_o experience_n i_o say_v by_o experience_n of_o our_o own_o day_n be_v there_o not_o many_o poor_a creature_n that_o have_v see_v miracle_n of_o mercy_n that_o have_v see_v god_n many_o time_n in_o wonderful_a way_n of_o deliverance_n towards_o they_o at_o such_o a_o time_n they_o be_v in_o
in_o himself_o at_o that_o very_a time_n to_o look_v upon_o he_o in_o christ_n and_o behold_v he_o as_o righteous_a as_o if_o he_o have_v no_o spot_n no_o defilement_n in_o he_o brethren_n all_o these_o be_v miracle_n of_o mercy_n again_o that_o god_n shall_v pour_v out_o his_o spirit_n upon_o a_o poor_a lump_n of_o flesh_n that_o his_o spirit_n shall_v work_v upon_o a_o poor_a creature_n and_o take_v a_o poor_a creature_n into_o union_n with_o himself_o and_o communion_n with_o himself_o that_o he_o shall_v be_v work_v in_o the_o heart_n and_o cleanse_v a_o poor_a creature_n from_o pollution_n both_o of_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n all_o these_o be_v miracle_n miraracle_n of_o wisdom_n miracle_n of_o power_n and_o miracle_n of_o mercy_n that_o do_v shine_v in_o the_o bring_n home_o of_o a_o soul_n to_o god_n and_o therefore_o to_o conclude_v all_o in_o the_o last_o place_n let_v we_o bless_v god_n for_o his_o word_n and_o look_v more_o use_n 3_o to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n then_o to_o miracle_n see_v what_o power_n god_n have_v put_v into_o his_o word_n and_o how_o he_o â—s_v please_v to_o accompany_v his_o word_n with_o his_o spirit_n and_o do_v great_a thing_n and_o now_o why_o shall_v we_o look_v to_o miracle_n and_o why_o shall_v we_o stand_v upon_o miracle_n true_o if_o you_o will_v not_o believe_v the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n without_o miracle_n neither_o will_v you_o believe_v though_o god_n shall_v work_v miracle_n why_o there_o be_v more_o power_n in_o the_o word_n to_o persuade_v the_o heart_n that_o it_o be_v indeed_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o so_o to_o overcome_v the_o soul_n to_o believe_v to_o rest_v on_o it_o than_o there_o be_v in_o all_o miracle_n that_o can_v be_v show_v and_o therefore_o in_o this_o case_n if_o any_o look_n for_o a_o miracle_n they_o may_v hear_v christ_n say_v no_o miracle_n shall_v be_v give_v to_o such_o a_o generation_n he_o that_o believe_v nâ—t_v the_o word_n he_o will_v not_o believe_v though_o one_o rise_v from_o the_o dead_a nabuchadnezzar_n he_o see_v three_o man_n that_o have_v a_o resurrection_n from_o the_o dead_a they_o be_v dead_a in_o all_o their_o account_n they_o think_v that_o they_o have_v be_v all_o consume_v they_o have_v a_o unexpected_a life_n they_o be_v all_o loose_a walk_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o fire_n and_o yet_o i_o say_v nebuchadnezar_n heart_n be_v not_o firm_o heart_n shall_v be_v overcome_v to_o submit_v to_o god_n without_o the_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n oh_o bless_v the_o lord_n for_o his_o word_n we_o be_v more_o beholden_a to_o the_o lord_n for_o believe_v though_o one_o rise_v from_o the_o dead_a though_o god_n shall_v show_v the_o great_a miracle_n yet_o that_o will_v not_o convince_v they_o that_o will_v not_o bring_v off_o their_o heart_n to_o believe_v in_o the_o son_n of_o god_n it_o be_v the_o hard_a matter_n in_o the_o world_n to_o bring_v god_n and_o the_o heart_n together_o they_o be_v at_o such_o a_o great_a dâ—stance_n infinite_a distance_n and_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o creature_n be_v fill_v with_o such_o slavery_n and_o lay_v under_o bondage_n that_o it_o dare_v not_o go_v to_o god_n when_o god_n call_v to_o behold_v his_o face_n in_o his_o son_n but_o run_v to_o the_o bush_n as_o adam_n do_v but_o though_o miracle_n will_v not_o do_v it_o it_o have_v a_o word_n of_o grace_n a_o sure_a word_n of_o grace_n battery_n that_o god_n many_o time_n be_v please_v to_o make_v by_o judgement_n wonderful_a judgement_n when_o he_o declare_v his_o wrath_n from_o heaven_n to_o sinner_n and_o consider_v what_o a_o miracle_n of_o mercy_n it_o be_v that_o any_o soul_n shall_v be_v convert_v and_o bring_v home_o to_o god_n see_v conversion_n be_v so_o hard_a a_o thing_n and_o miracle_n will_v not_o do_v it_o what_o a_o miracle_n it_o be_v for_o a_o soul_n to_o be_v bring_v home_o to_o god_n i_o show_v how_o many_o miracle_n be_v in_o this_o work_n miracle_n of_o wisdom_n miracle_n of_o power_n miracle_n of_o mercy_n oh_o we_o shall_v bless_v the_o lord_n that_o have_v give_v we_o his_o word_n we_o shall_v prefer_v the_o word_n before_o miracle_n we_o shall_v not_o look_v to_o miracle_n but_o we_o the_o first_o martyr_n never_o enjoy_v more_o of_o god_n he_o never_o enjoy_v more_o glorious_a vision_n of_o jesus_n christ_n then_o when_o he_o look_v through_o a_o shower_n of_o stone_n that_o come_v about_o his_o ear_n and_o take_v away_o his_o life_n he_o see_v the_o arm_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n ready_a to_o receive_v he_o to_o embrace_v he_o in_o the_o everlasting_a arm_n of_o his_o love_n he_o have_v hear_v much_o of_o christ_n in_o his_o everlasting_a gospel_n but_o he_o never_o see_v he_o before_o with_o his_o eye_n john_n the_o evangelist_n there_o be_v another_o instance_n if_o you_o look_v into_o the_o first_o chapter_n of_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n about_o the_o 9_o vers_fw-la you_o shall_v see_v there_o where_o he_o be_v and_o in_o what_o condition_n he_o be_v in_o when_o he_o receive_v those_o glorious_a revelation_n he_o say_v he_o be_v banish_v into_o the_o isle_n of_o patmos_n for_o bear_v witness_n to_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o truth_n of_o christ_n he_o be_v a_o martyr_n and_o fellow_n sufferer_n and_o when_o he_o be_v banish_v from_o all_o friend_n and_o comfort_n and_o leave_v naked_a and_o destitute_a of_o all_o comfort_n the_o lord_n jesus_n do_v draw_v nigh_o and_o do_v reveal_v the_o most_o glorious_a mystery_n concern_v his_o church_n to_o john_n the_o primitive_a church_n never_o enjoy_v more_o of_o god_n then_o at_o that_o time_n when_o they_o be_v most_o persecute_v by_o man_n in_o the_o time_n of_o those_o 10._o bloody_a persecution_n the_o church_n have_v abundance_n of_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n abundance_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n and_o abundance_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o christ_n abundance_n of_o holy_a zeal_n and_o abundance_n of_o activity_n for_o god_n it_o be_v pour_v out_o upon_o they_o the_o lord_n jesus_n never_o take_v so_o much_o delight_n to_o walk_v among_o they_o as_o when_o they_o be_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o fiery_a persecution_n persecution_n what_o presence_n of_o christ_n the_o people_n of_o god_n enjoy_v in_o persecution_n quest_n if_o you_o ask_v i_o but_o what_o presence_n of_o christ_n be_v it_o that_o the_o people_n of_o god_n do_v enjoy_v in_o their_o great_a affliction_n and_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o their_o fiery_a trial_n answ_n 1_o first_o of_o all_o they_o have_v most_o of_o the_o support_a presence_n of_o christ_n never_o more_o of_o the_o support_a presence_n of_o christ_n then_o in_o sad_a condition_n he_o support_v the_o inward_a man_n and_o he_o support_v the_o outward_a man_n he_o uphold_v the_o spirit_n of_o his_o people_n in_o sad_a condition_n and_o he_o make_v their_o spirit_n able_a to_o bear_v their_o infirmity_n now_o here_o be_v a_o wonderful_a work_n of_o the_o lord_n that_o he_o shall_v strengthen_v the_o spirit_n of_o a_o poor_a creature_n with_o such_o mighty_a power_n as_o to_o resist_v and_o to_o keep_v out_o the_o violence_n of_o such_o mighty_a trial_n such_o great_a affliction_n there_o be_v nothing_o that_o the_o devil_n seek_v more_o then_o to_o drive_v affliction_n home_o to_o the_o spirit_n that_o so_o he_o may_v crush_v the_o spirit_n and_o conquer_v the_o spirit_n when_o he_o can_v get_v in_o and_o cease_v upon_o the_o spirit_n than_o he_o become_v master_n and_o create_v a_o deal_n of_o smâ—rt_n and_o vexation_n now_o the_o power_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n be_v see_v affliction_n as_o may_v even_o overwhelm_v the_o outward_a man_n and_o they_o have_v but_o little_a strength_n many_o time_n yet_o the_o lord_n do_v so_o bless_v that_o little_a strength_n that_o their_o affliction_n to_o subdue_v their_o corruption_n and_o to_o strengthen_v their_o grace_n the_o fruit_n of_o their_o affliction_n shall_v be_v to_o purge_v they_o from_o sin_n affliction_n themselves_o can_v do_v it_o affliction_n themselves_o harden_v but_o when_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n draw_v nigh_o in_o affliction_n the_o saint_n do_v enjoy_v abundance_n of_o the_o sanctify_a presence_n and_o through_o their_o affliction_n they_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o the_o divine_a nature_n their_o corruption_n be_v subdue_v and_o mortify_v again_o fourthly_a they_o never_o enjoy_v more_o of_o the_o quicken_a presence_n of_o christ_n then_o in_o affliction_n i_o say_v the_o quicken_a presence_n of_o christ_n many_o time_n dead_a heart_n how_o be_v they_o raise_v up_o when_o christ_n draw_v nigh_o to_o they_o how_o be_v they_o elevate_v above_o themselves_o and_o their_o own_o strength_n because_o they_o be_v mighty_o act_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o five_o of_o hosea_n you_o may_v see_v there_o how_o god_n do_v promise_v his_o quicken_a presence_n in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o affliction_n hosea_n 5_o last_v verse_n i_o will_v go_v and_o
