you_o by_o way_n of_o reason_n and_o scripture_n for_o your_o lead_a man_n have_v so_o order_v the_o matter_n that_o you_o will_v not_o give_v ear_n to_o the_o most_o demonstrative_a argument_n that_o be_v against_o you_o and_o you_o accept_v of_o the_o weak_a reason_n imaginable_a on_o your_o side_n and_o the_o reason_n be_v evident_a for_o while_o you_o look_v upon_o yourselves_o as_o lead_v by_o a_o infallible_a spirit_n though_o it_o be_v indeed_o nothing_o but_o the_o fancy_n of_o george_n fox_n or_o some_o other_o of_o your_o teacher_n you_o must_v needs_o reject_v the_o clear_a light_n that_o god_n have_v give_v to_o man_n or_o angel_n when_o it_o oppose_v your_o sentiment_n and_o you_o be_v ready_a with_o your_o answer_n of_o this_o be_v the_o wisdom_n of_o the_o world_n this_o be_v natural_a understanding_n that_o know_v not_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n the_o knowledge_n from_o the_o letter_n or_o tradition_n and_o the_o like_a if_o we_o will_v not_o be_v put_v off_o so_o of_o the_o world_n respect_n of_o person_n etc._n etc._n and_o therefore_o you_o be_v not_o to_o be_v heed_v thus_o you_o prove_v yourselves_o to_o be_v in_o the_o truth_n and_o we_o to_o be_v in_o error_n not_o by_o divine_a reason_n and_o holy_a scripture_n but_o by_o the_o high_a opinion_n you_o have_v of_o yourselves_o and_o your_o low_a opinion_n of_o other_o i_o will_v not_o therefore_o now_o deal_v with_o you_o so_o much_o by_o argument_n draw_v from_o reason_n or_o scripture_n and_o depend_v pure_o upon_o the_o understanding_n and_o mind_n but_o by_o such_o argument_n who_o evidence_n depend_v most_o upon_o the_o outward_a sense_n and_o i_o hope_v though_o you_o will_v not_o allow_v we_o to_o judge_v whether_o a_o mental_a proposition_n be_v true_a or_o false_a sense_n or_o nonsense_n yet_o you_o will_v not_o deny_v we_o capable_a of_o determine_v concern_v matter_n of_o fact_n that_o be_v before_o our_o eye_n that_o be_v to_o say_v if_o you_o will_v but_o allow_v we_o competent_a witness_n to_o prove_v that_o george_n fox_n kill_v a_o man_n suppose_v we_o have_v see_v he_o at_o noon_n day_n thrust_v he_o through_o the_o heart_n with_o a_o sword_n or_o if_o not_o that_o you_o will_v grant_v that_o we_o can_v read_v english_a or_o greek_a that_o be_v not_o understand_v english_a or_o greek_a but_o know_v a._n from_o b._n and_o sound_v they_o when_o we_o beg_v but_o this_o favour_n of_o you_o that_o you_o will_v please_v to_o believe_v your_o own_o eye_n and_o if_o you_o will_v not_o do_v that_o i_o hope_v you_o will_v excuse_v we_o from_o ever_o believe_v any_o thing_n that_o you_o say_v or_o affirm_v and_o from_o ever_o speak_v or_o write_v to_o you_o any_o more_o but_o as_o for_o those_o of_o you_o that_o have_v in_o the_o simplicity_n of_o their_o heart_n by_o good_a word_n and_o fair_a appearance_n be_v induce_v to_o walk_v in_o your_o path_n for_o to_o such_o chief_o do_v i_o address_v myself_o i_o make_v no_o question_n but_o they_o will_v see_v themselves_o mistake_v for_o their_o sincerity_n will_v oblige_v they_o to_o give_v their_o own_o conscience_n some_o satisfy_a account_n why_o they_o take_v george_n fox_n for_o a_o true_a prophet_n and_o his_o doctrine_n for_o infallible_a as_o he_o pretend_v it_o be_v but_o it_o will_v be_v impossible_a for_o they_o to_o give_v themselves_o any_o such_o account_n against_o the_o evidence_n of_o their_o sense_n as_o for_o those_o of_o you_o that_o be_v much_o affect_v with_o and_o have_v a_o good_a share_n in_o the_o glory_n and_o honour_n which_o accrue_v unto_o they_o from_o this_o singular_a way_n of_o know_v all_o thing_n and_o be_v better_o than_o all_o other_o man_n i_o may_v say_v of_o you_o as_o abraham_n to_o the_o rich_a man_n neither_o will_v they_o be_v persuade_v though_o one_o rise_v from_o the_o dead_a but_o it_o be_v time_n for_o i_o now_o to_o begin_v to_o make_v good_a what_o i_o have_v undertake_v to_o wit_n to_o prove_v to_o your_o sense_n
