see_v that_o jesus_n christ_n be_v betray_v by_o judas_n and_o afterward_o perish_v himself_o most_o miserable_o both_o body_n and_o soul_n it_o be_v a_o easy_a matter_n for_o they_o either_o to_o doubt_v whether_o christ_n know_v all_o thing_n or_o else_o to_o suspect_v all_o the_o sort_n of_o the_o apostle_n together_o with_o their_o doctrine_n therefore_o peter_n do_v not_o without_o a_o cause_n answer_v this_o great_a inconvenience_n in_o the_o begin_n of_o his_o oration_n on_o the_o other_o side_n he_o exhort_v the_o disciple_n that_o they_o will_v appoint_v some_o other_o in_o and_o superfluous_a and_o because_o this_o fault_n cleave_v to_o we_o by_o corruption_n of_o nature_n but_o be_v delight_v with_o the_o enticement_n of_o sin_n acknowledge_v not_o ourselves_o for_o sinner_n it_o be_v necessary_a that_o our_o sin_n be_v reprove_v and_o accuse_v by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n which_o thing_n christ_n declare_v to_o be_v one_o of_o the_o first_o work_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n by_o reason_n whereof_o the_o word_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v call_v a_o sword_n and_o the_o light_n for_o be_v sharp_a than_o any_o two_o edge_a sword_n 3._o it_o enter_v through_o express_a word_n of_o god_n but_o also_o by_o the_o example_n of_o god_n elect_v to_o speak_v nothing_o in_o the_o mean_a season_n of_o the_o filthy_a child_n of_o the_o world_n which_o can_v repent_v sure_o david_n although_o he_o be_v a_o man_n even_o according_a to_o god_n own_o mind_n yet_o do_v he_o not_o acknowledge_v his_o grievous_a sin_n of_o adultery_n manslaughter_n and_o many_o such_o vice_n as_o follow_v they_o till_o he_o be_v reprove_v of_o the_o prophet_n by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o then_o he_o begin_v to_o cry_v out_o i_o have_v sin_v against_o the_o lord_n again_o i_o acknowledge_v my_o fault_n and_o my_o sin_n be_v ever_o before_o i_o my_o bone_n be_v vex_v and_o my_o soul_n be_v also_o sore_o trouble_v there_o be_v no_o health_n in_o my_o flesh_n because_o of_o read_v the_o pharisee_n dally_v with_o the_o herodian_n against_o christ_n and_o the_o matter_n be_v not_o conclude_v in_o word_n and_o argument_n but_o with_o chain_n imprisonment_n halter_n fire_n and_o sword_n and_o ungodliness_n in_o many_o place_n be_v go_v so_o far_o that_o there_o be_v count_v no_o more_o heinous_a offence_n than_o pure_o to_o confess_v christ_n and_o bold_o to_o defend_v the_o verity_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o sincerity_n of_o christian_a faith_n these_o thing_n because_o they_o be_v daily_o commit_v it_o need_v not_o further_a to_o search_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o calamity_n that_o be_v daily_o see_v consider_v how_o the_o same_o wickedness_n cause_v israel_n in_o time_n past_a to_o be_v lead_v captive_a to_o babylon_n and_o afterward_o utter_o to_o be_v root_v up_o read_v the_o second_o book_n of_o chronicle_n xxxuj_o math._n 23._o luc._n 19_o chap._n but_o i_o know_v thou_o will_v say_v the_o wicked_a be_v author_n of_o evil_a and_o that_o their_o do_n deserve_v more_o grievous_a punishment_n than_o they_o yet_o feel_v calamity_n but_o what_o make_v this_o to_o the_o godly_a and_o sincere_a worshipper_n of_o christ_n who_o be_v wrap_v in_o
