also_o syrach_n say_v 38._o the_o 38._o chapter_n my_o son_n pour_v forth_o ●eares_n over_o the_o dead_a and_o begin_v to_o mourn_v as_o if_o thou_o have_v suffer_v great_a harm_n thyself_o and_o then_o cover_v his_o body_n according_a as_o he_o have_v appoint_v and_o neglect_v not_o his_o burial_n make_v a_o grievous_a lamentation_n and_o be_v earnest_a in_o mourn_n and_o use_v lamentation_n as_o he_o be_v worthy_a and_o that_o a_o day_n or_o two_o lest_o thou_o be_v evil_a speak_v on_o and_o then_o comfort_v thyself_o for_o thine_o heaviness_n for_o of_o heaviness_n come_v death_n &_o the_o heaviness_n of_o the_o heart_n break_v the_o strength_n of_o the_o affliction_n of_o the_o heart_n come_v sorrow_n and_o the_o life_n of_o he_o that_o be_v afflict_v be_v according_a to_o his_o heart_n take_v no_o heaviness_n in_o heart_n drive_v it_o away_o and_o remember_v the_o last_o end_n forget_v it_o not_o for_o there_o be_v no_o turn_v again_o thou_o shall_v do_v he_o no_o good_a but_o hurt_v thyself_o remember_v his_o judgement_n thou_o also_o shall_v be_v likewise_o unto_o i_o yesterday_o and_o unto_o thou_o to_o day_n see_v the_o dead_a be_v at_o rest_n let_v his_o remembrance_n rest_n and_o comfort_v thyself_o again_o for_o he_o see_v his_o spirit_n be_v depart_v from_o he_o thus_o we_o see_v that_o also_o the_o good_a patriarch_n and_o holy_a people_n have_v after_o this_o manner_n mourn_v as_o abraham_n joseph_n david_n etc_n etc_n but_o at_o the_o length_n they_o have_v lay_v mourn_v aside_o and_o comfort_v themselves_o with_o the_o joyful_a resurrection_n yea_o christ_n himself_o mourn_v for_o dead_a lazarus_n john_n 11._o 11._o three_o and_o last_o of_o all_o you_o shall_v worshipful_o bring_v this_o dead_a body_n to_o the_o earth_n and_o show_v upon_o it_o such_o manner_n of_o work_n of_o love_n 7._o as_o syrach_n will_v we_o in_o the_o seven_o chapter_n say_v show_v thy_o good_a will_n upon_o the_o dead_a special_o worshipful_o accompany_v he_o convey_v he_o and_o help_v he_o to_o his_o grave_n for_o the_o resurrection_n sake_n as_o syrache_n also_o say_v in_o the_o 38._o chapter_n 38._o when_o any_o die_v bury_v he_o decent_o and_o bring_v his_o body_n worshipful_o to_o the_o grave_n as_o do_v good_a toby_n david_n and_o many_o more_o to_o give_v we_o example_n how_o we_o ought_v to_o behave_v ourselves_o towards_o the_o dead_a our_o lord_n god_n grant_v we_o his_o grace_n that_o every_o of_o we_o each_o one_o for_o other_o may_v be_v diligent_a in_o this_o behalf_n whereby_o we_o all_o to_o the_o praise_n of_o god_n and_o to_o the_o profit_n of_o our_o neighbour_n without_o let_v or_o offence_n may_v begin_v go_v forward_o and_o happy_o end_v through_o christ_n our_o lord_n in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n amen_n thus_o you_o see_v well-beloved_a in_o christ_n our_o lord_n upon_o this_o dead_a body_n the_o earnest_n and_o high_a judgement_n of_o god_o and_o what_o a_o extreme_a horror_n our_o lord_n god_n have_v upon_o sin_n for_o who_o have_v thus_o judge_v this_o dead_a body_n take_v from_o he_o his_o comely_a countenance_n give_v unto_o he_o such_o a_o ugly_a look_n &_o face_n only_o death_n but_o wherefore_o only_o because_o death_n be_v the_o wage_n for_o sin_n but_o if_o this_o dead_a man_n since_o his_o birth_n have_v not_o sin_v then_o have_v sin_n never_o have_v such_o power_n over_o he_o but_o from_o whence_o have_v death_n this_o power_n only_o from_o god_n wrath_n and_o judgement_n therefore_o tremble_v look_v up_o to_o god_o avoid_v sin_n for_o this_o dead_a body_n may_v be_v a_o warning_n unto_o you_o that_o you_o keep_v yourselves_o from_o sin_n christ_n jesus_n keep_v and_o defend_v we_o altogether_o amen_n ¶_o to_o the_o reader_n friendly_a and_o christian_a reader_n hitherto_o have_v you_o perceive_v in_o plain_a &_o simple_a manner_n how_o sick_a person_n be_v to_o be_v comfort_v i_o have_v also_o short_o show_v you_o first_o of_o repentance_n then_o of_o faith_n and_o afterward_o of_o good_a work_n which_o i_o have_v not_o do_v only_o for_o the_o sick_a and_o for_o such_o as_o be_v ready_a to_o die_v but_o also_o for_o they_o that_o be_v in_o health_n to_o the_o intent_n that_o they_o that_o be_v whole_a in_o the_o
