they_o take_v all_o creature_n sun_n moon_n star_n sea_n earth_n all_o the_o riches_n in_o the_o world_n pearl_n put_v all_o together_o this_o be_v the_o true_a divinity_n i_o say_v that_o there_o be_v more_o excellency_n in_o one_o virtuous_a action_n than_o there_o be_v if_o thou_o have_v all_o these_o thing_n to_o be_v thy_o possession_n if_o man_n be_v convince_v of_o this_o they_o will_v some_o thing_n you_o can_v but_o do_v that_o which_o will_v displease_v wicked_a man_n 4._o arg._n fourthlie_o consider_v that_o your_o life_n be_v but_o short_a within_o a_o while_n you_o must_v have_v your_o conversation_n either_o among_o devil_n or_o angel_n one_o of_o the_o two_o and_o how_o soon_o it_o may_v be_v only_a god_n know_v now_o than_o i_o will_v appeal_v and_o put_v this_o to_o your_o conscience_n be_v your_o conversation_n now_o such_o as_o can_v give_v you_o comfort_n oh_o i_o hope_v within_o a_o while_n i_o shall_v have_v my_o conversation_n among_o angel_n i_o desire_v now_o that_o the_o will_n of_o god_n may_v be_v do_v in_o earth_n as_o it_o be_v in_o heaven_n and_o that_o my_o family_n and_o life_n be_v as_o it_o be_v a_o heaven_n i_o will_v fain_o the_o brethren_n and_o blaspheme_v the_o name_n of_o god_n and_o what_o be_v your_o conversation_n otherwise_o than_o they_o know_v that_o your_o conversation_n be_v such_o as_o be_v a_o evident_a forerunner_n that_o if_o you_o continue_v as_o now_o you_o be_v that_o within_o a_o while_n your_o conversation_n will_v be_v among_o devil_n for_o that_o be_v the_o most_o suitable_a to_o you_o and_o my_o brethren_n consider_v further_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o world_n yea_o the_o eye_n of_o god_n and_o of_o christ_n and_o the_o angel_n be_v upon_o you_o to_o see_v how_o grace_n act_v in_o your_o require_v of_o christian_n to_o order_v their_o conversation_n aright_o oh_o it_o be_v a_o excellent_a thing_n to_o see_v the_o conversation_n of_o christian_n in_o due_a order_n all_o guide_v with_o spiritual_a wisdom_n and_o holiness_n oh_o that_o man_n or_o woman_n that_o be_v careful_a to_o order_v their_o conversation_n aright_o here_o be_v a_o promise_n to_o they_o that_o the_o lord_n will_v show_v they_o his_o salvation_n what_o ever_o time_n thou_o live_v in_o though_o never_o so_o dangerous_a though_o god_n appear_v never_o so_o dreadful_a in_o the_o time_n wherein_o thou_o live_v yet_o if_o thou_o can_v have_v but_o this_o testimony_n of_o thy_o conscience_n lord_n thou_o know_v it_o be_v the_o care_n of_o my_o soul_n not_o only_o to_o make_v profession_n of_o religion_n but_o to_o order_v my_o conversation_n aright_o therefore_o lord_n save_v i_o in_o evil_a time_n lord_n show_v i_o thy_o salvation_n thou_o may_v take_v this_o promise_n and_o lay_v it_o to_o thy_o heart_n if_o you_o profess_v godliness_n manifest_a in_o your_o conversation_n in_o perform_v the_o duty_n of_o your_o relation_n what_o soever_o man_n may_v talk_v of_o godliness_n except_o it_o appear_v in_o their_o relation_n except_o a_o servant_n be_v a_o
you_o live_v in_o that_o your_o conscience_n condemn_v you_o for_o a_o heathen_a will_v not_o do_v it_o a_o heathen_a will_v not_o wilful_o live_v in_o a_o sin_n that_o his_o conscience_n tell_v he_o be_v a_o sin_n many_o of_o the_o heathen_n come_v to_o that_o and_o what_o way_n have_v you_o make_v in_o profession_n perhaps_o you_o have_v seem_v to_o be_v in_o the_o school_n of_o christ_n many_o they_o be_v secret_a and_o none_o know_v they_o but_o yourself_o therefore_o you_o have_v continue_v in_o they_o and_o venture_v upon_o they_o hope_v of_o god_n pardon_n be_v perhaps_o but_o one_o and_o no_o great_a one_o i_o say_v in_o this_o you_o be_v beneath_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n and_o therefore_o you_o be_v far_o from_o have_v your_o conversation_n such_o as_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o jesus_n christ_n this_o conversation_n of_o you_o be_v not_o such_o as_o become_v the_o light_n of_o nature_n divers_a heathen_n will_v abhor_v such_o conversation_n in_o christian_n yea_o if_o it_o be_v among_o themselves_o and_o they_o will_v hardly_o company_n with_o you_o there_o be_v many_o that_o make_v profession_n of_o religion_n that_o i_o say_v if_o they_o live_v among_o heathen_n heathen_n will_v not_o keep_v company_n with_o a_o great_a part_n of_o this_o kingdom_n yea_o and_o of_o most_o congregation_n and_o therefore_o they_o shall_v not_o think_v much_o though_o they_o may_v not_o be_v admit_v into_o such_o a_o near_a communion_n as_o the_o lord_n supper_n q._n you_o will_v say_v then_o but_o what_o be_v that_o conversation_n become_v the_o gospel_n that_o be_v beyond_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n first_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n teach_v to_o worship_v a_o god_n that_o many_o of_o you_o do_v you_o worship_v god_n but_o this_o be_v that_o that_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n to_o worship_n &_o honour_n god_n as_o a_o father_n &_o as_o the_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n this_o go_v beyond_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n in_o that_o particular_a not_o only_o i_o be_o convince_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n that_o he_o be_v the_o creator_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n and_o my_o creator_n and_o therefore_o i_o will_v worship_v he_o but_o i_o do_v not_o do_v that_o that_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n till_o i_o get_v myself_o to_o this_o that_o i_o be_o able_a through_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o worship_n god_n as_o a_o father_n reconcile_v to_o i_o in_o christ_n and_o as_o the_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o so_o do_v i_o come_v and_o present_v all_o my_o service_n unto_o god_n this_o few_o of_o our_o civil_a man_n do_v yet_o your_o civil_a man_n will_v make_v a_o profession_n of_o the_o gospel_n too_o and_o your_o civil_a man_n they_o worship_v god_n but_o it_o be_v in_o a_o mere_a natural_a way_n the_o god_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n that_o make_v they_o be_v to_o be_v worship_v they_o can_v say_v their_o old_a catechism_n q._n who_o make_v you_o a._n god_n q._n wherefore_o do_v he_o make_v you_o a._n he_o make_v i_o to_o serve_v he_o etc._n etc._n i_o but_o do_v thou_o when_o thou_o come_v to_o serve_v and_o worship_v the_o lord_n look_v upon_o worship_n god_n thus_o or_o at_o least_o this_o be_v the_o endeavour_n of_o thy_o soul_n that_o thou_o may_v worship_v god_n in_o this_o way_n thou_o be_v not_o satisfy_v in_o worship_v god_n after_o the_o other_o way_n because_o he_o make_v thou_o and_o thy_o heart_n work_v after_o this_o indeed_o i_o have_v not_o get_v this_o full_a assurance_n that_o he_o be_v my_o father_n but_o this_o be_v that_o my_o heart_n be_v unsatisfied_a until_o i_o have_v get_v it_o and_o i_o can_v be_v quiet_a in_o any_o other_o kind_n of_o worship_v god_n till_o i_o find_v some_o ability_n to_o tender_v up_o all_o to_o he_o as_o a_o father_n and_o as_o the_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n i_o say_v till_o thou_o come_v to_o this_o thou_o do_v not_o in_o that_o particular_a worship_n god_n as_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o so_o in_o the_o point_n of_o justice_n thou_o do_v give_v every_o one_o his_o own_o i_o but_o this_o be_v beneath_o that_o that_o be_v christ_n they_o may_v be_v under_o penalty_n you_o think_v that_o those_o that_o be_v believer_n can_v be_v chastise_v for_o their_o sin_n as_o if_o there_o be_v no_o penalty_n in_o christ_n kingdom_n i_o confess_v they_o be_v deliver_v from_o the_o penalty_n of_o the_o law_n but_o christ_n inflict_v penalty_n as_o he_o be_v king_n there_o may_v be_v penalty_n in_o christ_n kingdom_n and_o the_o justice_n but_o now_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n intend_v eternal_a good_a too_o such_o a_o heart_n the_o lord_n cause_v to_o understand_v that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o infinite_a breach_n between_o god_n and_o it_o as_o can_v be_v make_v up_o but_o only_o by_o the_o meditation_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o lord_n it_o be_v not_o in_o any_o righteousness_n of_o i_o nor_o in_o any_o thing_n of_o any_o creature_n in_o heaven_n and_o earth_n can_v do_v it_o that_o i_o expect_v to_o have_v my_o portion_n from_o but_o in_o the_o mediation_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n that_o and_o therefore_o our_o conversation_n shall_v rise_v high_o in_o holiness_n than_o the_o converstion_n of_o those_o that_o be_v under_o the_o law_n we_o shall_v endeavour_v to_o be_v more_o exemplary_a in_o holy_a walk_n than_o they_o be_v and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o second_o head_n now_o for_o the_o three_o which_o be_v the_o chief_a of_o all_o if_o you_o will_v have_v your_o do_v reveal_v what_o there_o be_v in_o his_o heart_n from_o all_o eternity_n to_o mankind_n for_o so_o it_o be_v that_o be_v the_o scope_n of_o the_o gospel_n there_o be_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n infinite_a love_n burn_v towards_o mankind_n god_n from_o eternity_n see_v mankind_n before_o he_o and_o there_o be_v that_o strong_a inclination_n of_o his_o heart_n towards_o they_o in_o love_n as_o do_v even_o burn_v in_o his_o heart_n now_o in_o time_n god_n reveal_v this_o in_o the_o gospel_n in_o the_o doctrine_n thereof_o he_o do_v open_v his_o heart_n to_o the_o child_n of_o
