check_n unto_o many_o both_o minister_n and_o other_o who_o ruffianlike_a lock_n be_v very_o offensive_a unto_o multitude_n who_o fear_v the_o lord_n three_o as_o he_o be_v a_o child_n of_o many_o prayer_n not_o only_o be_v much_o pray_v for_o by_o his_o parent_n and_o their_o godly_a friend_n but_o also_o because_o he_o himself_o do_v pray_v daily_o seem_v also_o to_o make_v conscience_n of_o this_o duty_n and_o here_o i_o shall_v relate_v some_o thing_n which_o i_o account_v considerable_a 1._o sundry_a year_n since_o he_o make_v this_o as_o a_o matter_n of_o complaint_n that_o he_o can_v not_o order_v his_o thought_n while_o he_o be_v at_o prayer_n how_o may_v this_o shame_n multitude_n of_o people_n much_o elder_a to_o who_o rove_a thought_n in_o prayer_n be_v never_o troublesome_a 2._o not_o long_o before_o his_o death_n stay_v at_o home_n on_o the_o sabbath-morning_n with_o a_o maid-servant_n he_o desire_v as_o he_o have_v do_v former_o that_o they_o may_v sing_v a_o psalm_n and_o go_v to_o prayer_n and_o in_o his_o prayer_n he_o make_v this_o petition_n lord_n grant_v that_o we_o may_v leave_v our_o sin_n not_o as_o people_n do_v their_o old_a clothes_n with_o purpose_n to_o put_v they_o on_o again_o but_o that_o we_o may_v forsake_v our_o sin_n as_o rag_n with_o resolution_n to_o wear_v they_o no_o more_o many_o time_n when_o sick_a and_o in_o pain_n he_o will_v use_v these_o word_n lord_n help_v i_o he_o be_v thankful_a to_o myself_o as_o to_o other_o for_o our_o prayer_n and_o that_o night_n before_o his_o death_n have_v be_v once_o pray_v for_o by_o they_o who_o watch_v with_o he_o who_o discern_v the_o approach_n of_o his_o change_n he_o himself_o of_o his_o own_o accord_n entreat_v they_o to_o pray_v with_o he_o and_o for_o he_o again_o do_v not_o these_o thing_n speak_v his_o sensible_a apprehension_n of_o dependence_n upon_o god_n with_o expectation_n of_o favour_n from_o he_o by_o mean_n of_o prayer_n four_o this_o must_v not_o be_v forget_v that_o for_o divers_a year_n before_o his_o death_n he_o will_v express_v much_o estimation_n of_o those_o text_n of_o scripture_n which_o speak_v of_o heaven_n glory_n the_o glory_n provide_v for_o god_n servant_n for_o ever_o he_o will_v often_o commend_v the_o grace_n of_o contentment_n say_v that_o it_o be_v better_a than_o riches_n and_o that_o man_n life_n consist_v not_o in_o abundance_n if_o unto_o all_o these_o thing_n we_o add_v that_o with_o which_o i_o do_v begin_v viz._n the_o word_n of_o my_o text_n which_o do_v run_v much_o in_o his_o mind_n christ_n in_o you_o the_o hope_n of_o glory_n we_o may_v thence_o charitable_o and_o probable_o conjecture_v that_o notwithstanding_o his_o religious_a education_n and_o the_o many_o thing_n praiseworthy_a in_o his_o life_n yet_o he_o ground_v his_o hope_n of_o glory_n alone_o upon_o the_o lord_n jesus_n these_o particular_n i_o have_v judge_v meet_a to_o mention_v as_o i_o before_o hint_v with_o respect_n to_o god_n honour_n the_o comfort_n of_o his_o mourn_a friend_n and_o the_o edification_n both_o of_o child_n and_o their_o parent_n who_o may_v be_v herewith_o acquaint_v now_o the_o practical_a improvement_n both_o of_o my_o sermon_n and_o this_o narration_n i_o humble_o commend_v unto_o the_o blessing_n of_o god_n through_o jesus_n christ_n finis_fw-la
