yet_o when_o they_o be_v once_o cross_v the_o creditor_n can_v come_v and_o ask_v his_o debt_n any_o more_o because_o it_o be_v cross_v so_o it_o be_v in_o this_o our_o sin_n be_v the_o same_o after_o we_o be_v justify_v as_o they_o be_v before_o but_o faith_n be_v that_o that_o cross_v the_o book_n faith_n i_o say_v by_o apprehend_v the_o pardon_n and_o take_v the_o acquittance_n at_o god_n hand_n that_o he_o offer_v iâ—_n a_o man_n have_v anacquittance_n although_o the_o debt_n remain_v the_o same_o in_o the_o book_n yet_o there_o can_v no_o more_o be_v require_v at_o the_o hand_n of_o he_o by_o faith_n we_o be_v pitch_v upon_o christ_n we_o take_v he_o first_o and_o then_o we_o take_v the_o privilege_n they_o all_o follow_v upon_o it_o forgiveness_n and_o adoption_n this_o be_v the_o first_o act_n of_o faith_n to_o reconcile_v we_o to_o christ_n himself_o and_o upon_o this_o we_o have_v boldness_n to_o go_v to_o christ_n for_o forgiveness_n to_o go_v to_o christ_n to_o make_v we_o heir_n of_o all_o thing_n for_o after_o this_o manner_n faith_n do_v it_o all_o thing_n be_v you_o whether_o paul_n or_o apollo_n etc._n etc._n and_o why_o because_o you_o be_v christ_n mark_v it_o you_o must_v first_o be_v christ_n that_o be_v even_o as_o the_o wife_n be_v the_o husband_n be_v so_o you_o must_v be_v knit_v and_o unite_v to_o christ_n and_o then_o all_o thing_n be_v you_o so_o that_o faith_n first_o make_v we_o christ_n it_o reconcile_v we_o to_o he_o and_o make_v we_o one_o with_o he_o and_o in_o he_o one_o with_o god_n the_o father_n and_o then_o all_o thing_n be_v give_v unto_o we_o and_o make_v we_o heart_n the_o second_o act_n of_o faith_n be_v to_o quiet_a and_o pacify_v the_o heart_n to_o comfort_v we_o in_o assure_v we_o that_o our_o sin_n and_o transgression_n be_v forgive_v and_o this_o be_v different_a from_o the_o former_a there_o be_v two_o act_n of_o faith_n the_o one_o be_v the_o direct_a act_n by_o which_o we_o apprehend_v and_o take_v christ_n faith_n and_o the_o righteousness_n that_o be_v offer_v through_o he_o by_o which_o we_o take_v forgiveness_n and_o the_o second_o be_v the_o reflect_v act_n by_o which_o we_o know_v that_o we_o have_v take_v christ_n and_o have_v take_v out_o our_o pardon_n and_o this_o act_n be_v very_o different_a from_o the_o former_a we_o may_v have_v the_o former_a without_o this_o we_o common_o think_v that_o we_o be_v not_o justify_v by_o christ_n unless_o we_o have_v assurance_n of_o it_o and_o when_o we_o look_v for_o that_o and_o find_v it_o not_o present_o all_o our_o hope_n be_v go_v but_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v so_o it_o be_v one_o act_n of_o faith_n to_o take_v christ_n and_o another_o act_n of_o faith_n to_o comfort_n and_o pacify_v the_o heart_n and_o that_o these_o be_v two_o marriage_n you_o know_v admit_v of_o no_o degree_n so_o justification_n be_v equal_a to_o every_o man_n it_o admit_v of_o no_o degree_n it_o be_v always_o the_o same_o we_o be_v not_o now_o less_o justify_v and_o then_o more_o but_o we_o be_v always_o alike_o justify_v be_v once_o justify_v but_o the_o other_o act_n of_o faith_n whereby_o i_o be_o assure_v that_o i_o have_v take_v christ_n that_o admit_v of_o degree_n a_o man_n may_v have_v sometime_o more_o comfort_n sometime_o less_o and_o therefore_o righteousness_n be_v say_v here_o to_o be_v reveal_v from_o faith_n to_o faith_n last_o the_o first_o act_n of_o faith_n whereby_o we_o take_v christ_n and_o those_o privilege_n by_o he_o as_o the_o wife_n take_v the_o husband_n that_o be_v found_v upon_o the_o sure_a word_n of_o god_n god_n have_v tender_v it_o to_o we_o upon_o his_o word_n and_o promise_n and_o he_o must_v perform_v it_o it_o can_v be_v alter_v nor_o change_v he_o that_o build_v upon_o it_o build_v upon_o the_o cornerstone_n that_o will_v not_o fail_v he_o but_o now_o the_o second_o act_n whereby_o i_o come_v to_o know_v that_o i_o have_v do_v this_o that_o be_v ground_v upon_o experience_n indeed_o man_n to_o he_o yet_o he_o be_v not_o a_o man_n no_o more_o be_v faith_n that_o be_v not_o effectual_a any_o faith_n it_o have_v only_o the_o name_n of_o faith_n and_o there_o be_v no_o more_o in_o it_o but_o as_o dead_a drug_n which_o have_v no_o efficacy_n in_o they_o or_o as_o dead_a plant_n or_o dead_a wine_n which_o be_v turn_v to_o vinegar_n simile_n it_o cease_v to_o be_v wine_n it_o be_v no_o long_a wine_n but_o vinegar_n so_o it_o may_v be_v say_v of_o ineffectual_a faith_n it_o be_v not_o faith_n it_o have_v the_o name_n and_o the_o shadow_n of_o faith_n only_o and_o therefore_o god_n accept_v it_o not_o again_o 8.28_o god_n will_v save_v none_o unless_o they_o be_v reconcile_v to_o he_o and_o be_v such_o as_o love_v he_o for_o that_o condition_n be_v every_o where_o put_v in_o all_o thing_n shall_v work_v together_o for_o good_a to_o they_o that_o love_v he_o and_o he_o have_v prepare_v a_o crown_n for_o they_o that_o love_v he_o now_o if_o faith_n be_v not_o effectual_a there_o will_v be_v no_o love_n and_o if_o love_v be_v necessary_o require_v god_n can_v accept_v that_o faith_n that_o be_v ineffectual_a again_o faith_n if_o god_n shall_v accept_v of_o a_o faith_n that_o be_v ineffectual_a the_o devil_n have_v such_o a_o faith_n by_o which_o they_o apprehend_v the_o word_n and_o a_o faith_n that_o bring_v forth_o effect_n for_o they_o fear_v and_o tremble_v but_o this_o be_v not_o the_o faith_n that_o purify_v the_o heart_n it_o be_v not_o a_o effectual_a it_o be_v not_o a_o purge_n lively_a faith_n again_o mortification_n christ_n receive_v none_o but_o they_o that_o deny_v themselves_o and_o be_v willing_a to_o take_v up_o their_o cross_n and_o to_o follow_v he_o that_o mortify_v the_o deed_n of_o the_o body_n by_o the_o spirit_n now_o work_n be_v require_v of_o necessity_n as_o the_o way_n to_o salvation_n eph._n 2.10_o we_o be_v god_n workmanship_n create_v in_o jesus_n christ_n unto_o good_a work_n which_o he_o have_v ordain_v require_v of_o necessity_n than_o it_o be_v not_o a_o dead_a liveless_a workelesse_a faith_n but_o a_o powerful_a energeticall_a faith_n a_o faith_n that_o be_v stir_v and_o active_a a_o faith_n that_o be_v effectual_a which_o god_n require_v without_o which_o we_o can_v be_v save_v we_o come_v now_o to_o make_v some_o use_n of_o what_o have_v be_v say_v sound_a first_o if_o god_n accept_v no_o faith_n but_o that_o which_o be_v effectual_a it_o shall_v teach_v we_o not_o to_o be_v deceive_v in_o a_o matter_n of_o so_o great_a moment_n it_o shall_v teach_v we_o to_o look_v to_o our_o faith_n to_o consider_v whether_o it_o be_v a_o right_a faith_n or_o no._n if_o a_o man_n have_v evidence_n upon_o which_o his_o land_n and_o whole_a estate_n depend_v if_o one_o shall_v come_v and_o tell_v he_o that_o they_o be_v false_a evidence_n it_o will_v affect_v he_o he_o will_v at_o the_o least_o be_v ready_a to_o look_v and_o to_o examine_v they_o and_o yet_o these_o be_v matter_n of_o less_o moment_n if_o one_o be_v tell_v that_o his_o corn_n be_v blast_v simile_n that_o all_o the_o tree_n in_o his_o orchard_n be_v dead_a that_o all_o his_o money_n be_v counterfeit_a a_o man_n will_v look_v even_o to_o these_o thing_n a_o man_n will_v have_v that_o which_o he_o have_v to_o be_v sound_n and_o not_o counterfeit_v and_o shall_v not_o we_o then_o look_v to_o the_o faith_n that_o we_o have_v upon_o which_o the_o salvation_n of_o our_o soul_n depend_v see_v god_n accept_v none_o unless_o it_o be_v â—ound_v and_o see_v there_o be_v so_o much_o counterfeit_a faith_n in_o owner_n of_o the_o house_n then_o come_v the_o thief_n he_o pick_v out_o that_o time_n so_o god_n come_v upon_o the_o wicked_a and_o afflict_v they_o when_o they_o be_v in_o peace_n and_o prosperity_n take_v heed_n that_o he_o lop_v thou_o not_o at_o that_o time_n when_o thou_o shall_v wither_v to_o destruction_n when_o thou_o be_v not_o prepare_v so_o the_o scripture_n say_v sudden_a destruction_n come_v upwicked_a man_n so_o that_o suddenness_n be_v when_o man_n be_v not_o prepare_v and_o so_o when_o god_n say_v will_v free_v the_o godly_a from_o sudden_a death_n his_o meaning_n be_v he_o god._n no_o man_n can_v have_v his_o heart_n wean_v from_o sin_n divorce_v from_o sin_n which_o he_o have_v be_v wed_v to_o all_o his_o life_n except_o he_o find_v another_o husband_n in_o who_o he_o upon_o he_o as_o upon_o one_o that_o love_v thou_o as_o one_o that_o favour_v thou_o as_o one_o that_o be_v thy_o friend_n that_o accept_v thou_o this_o will_v win_v thy_o heart_n this_o will_v cause_v a_o man_n heart_n to_o turn_v from_o sin_n to_o turn_v from_o darkness_n to_o light_n it_o will_v make_v he_o to_o leave_v the_o way_n wherein_o he_o delight_v before_o it_o will_v divorce_n a_o man_n heart_n from_o the_o sin_n wherein_o it_o have_v take_v pleasure_n a_o long_a time_n so_o that_o it_o shall_v never_o get_v the_o victory_n over_o it_o therefore_o the_o best_a way_n in_o such_o a_o case_n be_v to_o set_v faith_n a-work_o to_o believe_v the_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n remember_v the_o promise_n of_o god_n those_o promise_n you_o have_v hear_v often_o that_o god_n will_v but_o the_o lord_n must_v have_v all_o and_o there_o be_v good_a reason_n for_o it_o because_o he_o bestow_v all_o on_o you_o it_o be_v in_o this_o love_n as_o it_o be_v in_o marriage_n in_o that_o there_o be_v no_o corrival_n admit_v but_o there_o must_v be_v all_o in_o all_o for_o the_o husband_n must_v bestow_v himself_o whole_o on_o his_o wife_n and_o the_o wife_n on_o the_o husband_n so_o if_o you_o love_v the_o lord_n if_o the_o match_n be_v make_v between_o you_o there_o be_v all_o in_o that_o equality_n if_o the_o lord_n bestow_v all_o on_o you_o and_o you_o shall_v bestow_v but_o half_a on_o he_o there_o will_v be_v no_o equality_n there_o will_v be_v a_o unennesse_n but_o when_o you_o bestow_v all_o on_o he_o when_o you_o love_v he_o with_o all_o your_o heart_n and_o with_o indeed_o many_o come_v short_a of_o that_o but_o that_o you_o shall_v show_v it_o in_o your_o fleece_n and_o milk_n show_v it_o in_o your_o life_n that_o all_o the_o world_n may_v see_v it_o there_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o for_o he_o that_o desire_v to_o write_v to_o see_v the_o copy_n and_o to_o know_v it_o and_o the_o fashion_n of_o the_o letter_n but_o then_o he_o have_v learn_v it_o when_o he_o can_v write_v after_o it_o so_o you_o must_v know_v science_n be_v of_o two_o sort_n sort_n indeed_o some_o there_o be_v the_o end_n of_o which_o be_v only_a contemplation_n and_o knowledge_n but_o some_o there_o be_v the_o end_n whereof_o be_v action_n and_o they_o be_v no_o further_o good_a than_o we_o practise_v they_o what_o be_v music_n but_o the_o practice_n of_o it_o what_o be_v physic_n the_o knowledge_n of_o all_o will_v not_o heal_v a_o man_n but_o the_o take_n of_o it_o so_o it_o be_v with_o divinity_n the_o knowledge_n that_o we_o teach_v be_v nothing_o worth_a if_o you_o know_v as_o much_o as_o can_v be_v know_v it_o be_v all_o nothing_o worth_a without_o practice_n practice_n be_v all_o in_o all_o so_o much_o as_o you_o practise_v so_o much_o you_o know_v it_o be_v a_o great_a matter_n to_o have_v your_o judgement_n true_a in_o this_o case_n for_o when_o man_n shall_v applaud_v themselves_o mere_o in_o this_o that_o they_o know_v and_o have_v right_a purpose_n and_o honest_a desire_n and_o shall_v esteem_v their_o estate_n by_o this_o it_o cause_v man_n to_o content_v themselves_o with_o a_o loose_a and_o a_o negligent_a life_n but_o we_o must_v know_v that_o god_n judge_v we_o by_o our_o action_n and_o that_o be_v our_o best_a rule_n to_o judge_v by_o too_o therefore_o we_o shall_v learn_v thus_o to_o judge_v ourselves_o if_o you_o object_n object_n but_o it_o be_v a_o rule_n that_o we_o have_v hear_v often_o that_o the_o will_n be_v often_o take_v for_o the_o deed_n and_o if_o the_o will_v be_v present_a with_o we_o though_o the_o action_n do_v not_o follow_v yet_o we_o be_v accept_v according_a the_o will_n to_o this_o i_o answer_v in_o brief_a answ._n first_o it_o hold_v only_o then_o where_o there_o be_v some_o impediment_n than_o the_o will_n be_v accept_v for_o the_o deed_n as_o when_o a_o man_n have_v a_o desire_n to_o move_v his_o hand_n his_o leg_n or_o arm_n but_o because_o of_o a_o palsy_n that_o hang_v upon_o for_o the_o deed_n though_o he_o be_v not_o come_v to_o that_o degree_n of_o perfection_n as_o other_o be_v but_o as_o man_n apply_v it_o common_o it_o be_v amiss_o for_o when_o a_o man_n think_v i_o have_v a_o good_a purpose_n to_o do_v this_o but_o i_o can_v pray_v i_o can_v be_v so_o strict_a in_o look_v to_o my_o action_n and_o speech_n here_o the_o complaint_n be_v not_o right_a for_o if_o
