the_o heart_n then_o can_v the_o tongue_n itself_o which_o if_o it_o be_v infect_v with_o hatred_n or_o disdain_n sure_o it_o be_v that_o all_o thing_n be_v not_o well_o at_o home_n in_o the_o heart_n and_o therefore_o all_o man_n must_v observe_v the_o inclination_n of_o the_o heart_n by_o the_o usage_n of_o the_o tongue_n that_o when_o it_o come_v abroad_o cast_v forth_o hatred_n wrath_n and_o debate_n we_o may_v with_o speed_n return_n to_o the_o fountain_n that_o be_v the_o heart_n to_o purge_v and_o cleanse_v the_o same_o because_o we_o be_v sure_a that_o from_o thence_o the_o tongue_n receive_v all_o poison_n if_o we_o shall_v prevail_v much_o in_o suppress_v hatred_n both_o in_o our_o heart_n tongue_n and_o hand_n yet_o be_v not_o that_o all_o which_o be_v here_o command_v for_o the_o lord_n in_o forbid_a murder_n mean_v not_o to_o stay_v there_o but_o in_o remove_v hatred_n his_o purpose_n be_v to_o make_v way_n &_o passage_n for_o merciful_a deal_n towards_o the_o life_n commend_v it_o whereas_o the_o wicked_a and_o foolish_a man_n have_v neither_o care_n of_o the_o matter_n which_o he_o be_v to_o utter_v neither_o yet_o of_o the_o manner_n how_o to_o utter_v it_o this_o use_n and_o end_n of_o the_o tongue_n to_o communicate_v the_o good_a thing_n of_o our_o heart_n one_o with_o a_o other_o to_o the_o increase_n of_o love_n and_o friendship_n among_o man_n do_v upon_o it_o to_o gather_v together_o the_o conjecture_n that_o may_v be_v have_v of_o great_a evil_a to_o be_v in_o it_o hereby_o it_o appear_v that_o love_n be_v far_o from_o suspicion_n of_o evil_a where_o there_o be_v no_o apparent_a token_n thereof_o see_v it_o pass_v with_o such_o speed_n and_o turn_v the_o thought_n so_o soon_o from_o muse_v upon_o and_o examine_v see_v and_o know_v evil_n in_o those_o who_o it_o love_v it_o be_v also_o incident_a unto_o love_n as_o a_o true_a mark_n to_o discern_v it_o by_o not_o to_o rejoice_v in_o iniquity_n but_o to_o rejoice_v in_o the_o truth_n so_o do_v the_o holy_a ghost_n report_n of_o it_o in_o this_o place_n the_o truth_n wherein_o he_o that_o love_v be_v say_v to_o rejoice_v signify_v true_a and_o sincere_a deal_n according_a to_o the_o usual_a speech_n of_o the_o scripture_n which_o may_v also_o be_v understand_v in_o that_o it_o be_v set_v here_o against_o iniquity_n or_o unrighteousness_n as_o be_v contrary_a thereunto_o this_o property_n of_o not_o rejoice_v in_o iniquity_n be_v very_o fit_o join_v unto_o the_o former_a for_o in_o that_o it_o be_v say_v not_o to_o think_v evil_a but_o friendly_a not_o to_o impute_v it_o it_o may_v be_v think_v that_o love_n have_v a_o delight_n in_o the_o evil_a deal_n of_o he_o who_o she_o love_v therefore_o be_v this_o add_v that_o it_o rejoice_v not_o in_o his_o evil_a deal_n righteousness_n and_o sincerity_n rejoice_v and_o triumph_v in_o that_o which_o the_o truth_n and_o righteousness_n of_o god_n set_v down_o in_o his_o word_n utter_o condemn_v here_o also_o be_v condemn_v that_o damnable_a sect_n which_o term_v itself_o the_o family_n of_o love_n who_o uphold_v their_o love_n like_a unto_o the_o papist_n be_v clean_o go_v from_o the_o truth_n and_o righteousness_n of_o god_n approve_v by_o his_o word_n unto_o a_o righteousness_n approve_v by_o the_o revelation_n of_o their_o own_o spirit_n make_v the_o word_n of_o god_o the_o playnesong_n thereunto_o as_o for_o example_n when_o a_o man_n have_v a_o occupation_n to_o live_v by_o it_o be_v no_o easy_a matter_n for_o he_o to_o crave_v as_o hearty_o at_o god_n his_o hand_n for_o his_o live_a as_o that_o man_n that_o want_v all_o ordinary_a mean_n to_o maintain_v he_o we_o be_v teach_v in_o this_o petition_n to_o beg_v at_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n by_o prayer_n those_o outward_a thing_n that_o have_v mean_n ordain_v to_o bring_v they_o even_o then_o when_o we_o have_v the_o usual_a mean_n for_o the_o man_n that_o have_v friend_n of_o great_a credit_n that_o be_v able_a to_o compass_v matter_n of_o great_a importance_n than_o he_o have_v any_o to_o trouble_v they_o withal_o must_v look_v &_o seek_v for_o success_n at_o the_o lord_n by_o prayer_n as_o careful_o as_o if_o he_o know_v of_o no_o help_n or_o friendship_n at_o all_o when_o man_n of_o wisdom_n credit_n or_o power_n go_v about_o their_o matter_n without_o any_o call_n upon_o the_o name_n of_o god_n they_o plain_o deny_v the_o lord_n that_o honour_n that_o be_v due_a unto_o he_o for_o he_o must_v be_v acknowledge_v as_o he_o be_v in_o deed_n the_o disposer_n of_o all_o outward_a benefit_n aswell_o of_o forward_o of_o all_o our_o labour_n of_o the_o lord_n who_o be_v the_o only_a giver_n of_o they_o and_o without_o who_o especial_a blessing_n all_o help_n and_o mean_n be_v to_o no_o purpose_n according_a as_o it_o be_v write_v in_o the_o psalm_n 127.1.2_o except_o the_o lord_n build_v the_o house_n they_o labour_v in_o vain_a that_o build_v it_o it_o be_v vain_a for_o you_o to_o rise_v early_o and_o lie_v down_o late_o declare_v hereby_o how_o little_a help_n there_o be_v in_o all_o our_o careful_a toil_n to_o attain_v to_o wealth_n and_o earthly_a commodity_n and_o therefore_o in_o time_n of_o their_o distress_n promise_v to_o stand_v by_o they_o in_o their_o trouble_n and_o want_n and_o to_o declare_v himself_o to_o be_v their_o god_n by_o the_o benefit_n and_o mercy_n that_o he_o will_v grant_v at_o their_o request_n what_o a_o great_a burden_n therefore_o be_v we_o discharge_v of_o by_o the_o lord_n who_o in_o promise_v to_o hear_v we_o in_o the_o day_n of_o our_o calamity_n have_v cut_v off_o many_o care_n grief_n and_o vexation_n which_o long_o before_o they_o come_v torment_v the_o ungodly_a and_o when_o they_o be_v upon_o they_o do_v drive_v they_o either_o
