that_o purpose_n and_o say_v not_o according_a to_o the_o covenant_n that_o i_o make_v with_o their_o father_n in_o the_o day_n when_o i_o take_v they_o by_o the_o hand_n to_o lead_v they_o out_o of_o the_o land_n of_o egypt_n that_o be_v not_o like_a as_o it_o be_v whilst_o i_o give_v they_o particular_a precept_n for_o all_o their_o outward_a duty_n 8.9_o and_o do_v lead_v they_o in_o all_o their_o affair_n myself_o as_o if_o i_o shall_v have_v take_v they_o by_o the_o hand_n but_o this_o course_n god_n now_o change_v because_o they_o continue_v not_o in_o my_o covenant_n and_o i_o regard_v they_o not_o say_v the_o lord_n that_o be_v because_o i_o find_v humane_a frailty_n so_o great_a ibid._n that_o these_o literal_a command_n can_v not_o be_v keep_v therefore_o now_o i_o of_o love_n and_o obedience_n 24._o we_o shall_v find_v to_o be_v the_o very_a errand_n also_o of_o he_o that_o be_v to_o conclude_v the_o law_n and_o the_o prophet_n and_o to_o be_v christ_n forerunner_n as_o it_o be_v most_o full_o though_o mystical_o express_v by_o the_o prophet_n malachy_n and_o also_o by_o saint_n luke_n in_o their_o description_n of_o john_n the_o baptist_n his_o office_n and_o message_n the_o first_o of_o these_o duty_n be_v couch_v in_o these_o word_n he_o shall_v turn_v the_o heart_n of_o the_o father_n to_o the_o child_n that_o be_v 1.17_o he_o shall_v shall_v offend_v one_o of_o these_o little_a one_o which_o believe_v in_o i_o etc._n etc._n by_o which_o last_o expression_n of_o believe_v in_o i_o as_o we_o find_v child_n in_o the_o literal_a sense_n exclude_v so_o may_v we_o find_v our_o obedience_n to_o christ_n to_o be_v unquestionable_o due_a to_o such_o our_o rightful_a superior_n as_o be_v christian_n and_o believe_v on_o he_o but_o because_o christ_n himself_o have_v former_o foresee_v that_o our_o own_o natural_a pride_n and_o lust_n will_v ordinary_o draw_v we_o both_o to_o antichristian_a disobedience_n against_o our_o superior_n and_o unto_o neglect_n of_o the_o duty_n of_o love_n and_o charity_n to_o our_o neighbour_n it_o be_v the_o occasion_n of_o his_o expression_n that_o he_o come_v to_o send_v fire_n on_o earth_n and_o that_o he_o come_v not_o to_o send_v peace_n etc._n etc._n for_o in_o that_o consideration_n he_o here_o say_v that_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v that_o offence_n must_v come_v but_o then_o answerable_a thereunto_o may_v have_v allusion_n unto_o the_o like_a manner_n of_o expression_n use_v by_o his_o typical_a father_n david_n who_o be_v usual_o personate_v as_o the_o church_n head_n as_o we_o find_v it_o express_v in_o the_o 131_o psalm_n say_v my_o heart_n be_v not_o haughty_a etc._n etc._n and_o again_o sure_o i_o have_v behave_v and_o quiet_v myself_o as_o a_o child_n that_o be_v wean_v of_o his_o mother_n 2._o my_o soul_n be_v even_o as_o a_o wean_a child_n and_o as_o thus_o he_o answer_v for_o his_o mind_n and_o inward_a behaviour_n so_o be_v it_o to_o be_v note_v that_o himself_o as_o the_o paragon_n king_n be_v in_o his_o person_n very_o little_a whereas_o his_o predecessor_n saul_n be_v not_o only_o haughty_a but_o also_o high_o than_o other_o by_o the_o shoulder_n and_o so_o not_o so_o fit_a as_o david_n to_o be_v one_o of_o these_o little_a one_o by_o our_o saviour_n speak_v of_o and_o indeed_o this_o caveat_n for_o humility_n give_v by_o our_o saviour_n to_o such_o as_o be_v to_o succeed_v as_o head_n and_o guide_n in_o the_o christian_a church_n be_v but_o the_o same_o in_o effect_n that_o be_v give_v in_o the_o jewish_a church_n to_o be_v put_v in_o practice_n by_o their_o king_n 17.20_o that_o his_o heart_n be_v not_o lift_v up_o above_o his_o brethren_n and_o although_o our_o saviour_n do_v thus_o set_v down_o obedience_n to_o the_o church_n head_n under_o the_o notion_n of_o little_a one_o to_o take_v off_o occasion_n of_o their_o pride_n yet_o that_o he_o intend_v such_o person_n as_o shall_v be_v in_o great_a charge_n then_o ordinary_a appear_v notable_o by_o his_o tell_v we_o by_o way_n of_o terror_n of_o their_o power_n namely_o that_o in_o heaven_n their_o angel_n do_v always_o behold_v the_o face_n of_o god_n that_o be_v they_o have_v in_o regard_n of_o their_o great_a trust_n among_o we_o 18.10_o their_o eminent_a guardian_n angel_n appoint_v by_o which_o we_o may_v know_v how_o to_o interpret_v saint_n paul_n because_o in_o heaven_n itself_o every_o one_o shall_v not_o be_v great_a than_o he_o so_o be_v we_o not_o to_o understand_v that_o every_o one_o here_o either_o shall_v exceed_v in_o greatness_n he_o
