in_o seek_v he_o they_o be_v both_o lusty_a and_o ready_a to_o lay_v hold_n of_o he_o yet_o when_o they_o have_v find_v he_o they_o can_v do_v nothing_o to_o he_o for_o their_o sin_n have_v take_v their_o power_n and_o ability_n from_o they_o for_o who_o be_v able_a to_o reckon_v up_o how_o many_o way_n god_n have_v to_o visit_v astonish_v and_o terrify_v man_n for_o their_o sin_n therefore_o among_o other_o punishment_n in_o deuteronomy_n threaten_v this_o be_v one_o a_o tremble_a heart_n a_o sorrowful_a mind_n 65._o and_o fear_v both_o day_n and_o night_n and_o if_o the_o lord_n shall_v not_o handle_v some_o thus_o other_o will_v not_o be_v afraid_a but_o will_v abuse_v his_o majesty_n yea_o and_o faithful_a people_n also_o much_o more_o gross_o will_v tempt_v god_n then_o now_o to_o the_o former_a which_o sin_n bring_v forth_o true_a it_o be_v indeed_o the_o lord_n deal_v not_o thus_o in_o kind_n with_o all_o sinner_n nay_o we_o see_v how_o impudent_a and_o brazen_a face_a most_o be_v in_o their_o lewd_a course_n and_o set_v up_o their_o bustle_v against_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n but_o though_o their_o forehead_n be_v of_o brass_n yet_o their_o heart_n be_v glassy_a their_o conscience_n if_o they_o will_v yield_v be_v as_o water_v pour_v forth_o they_o have_v not_o the_o true_a lion_n like_o courage_n and_o boldness_n which_o in_o their_o jollity_n they_o will_v have_v all_o think_v that_o they_o have_v but_o sin_n have_v enfeeble_v they_o they_o can_v abide_v the_o force_n and_o sting_v of_o their_o conscience_n but_o fall_v down_o cowardlike_a when_o it_o smite_v they_o neither_o can_v their_o sin_n abide_v the_o hand_n of_o god_n which_o as_o it_o be_v ever_o ready_a to_o be_v reach_v forth_o against_o they_o so_o when_o it_o be_v so_o indeed_o they_o be_v soon_o dismay_v as_o nabal_n be_v when_o he_o hear_v he_o shall_v die_v true_a it_o be_v they_o set_v a_o good_a face_n upon_o the_o matter_n open_o brag_v and_o brace_v as_o i_o have_v say_v but_o when_o their_o conscience_n and_o they_o go_v to_o it_o hand_n to_o hand_n as_o it_o do_v but_o seldom_o then_o in_o their_o necessity_n it_o be_v with_o they_o as_o if_o a_o arm_a man_n be_v upon_o they_o their_o white_a livered_a heart_n do_v utter_o fail_v they_o and_o yet_o where_o be_v he_o that_o by_o such_o check_n of_o the_o word_n and_o his_o conscience_n and_o the_o fear_n of_o many_o arresting_n of_o he_o from_o god_n do_v once_o complain_v and_o cry_v out_o of_o his_o estate_n and_o so_o seek_v strength_n and_o recovery_n out_o of_o it_o by_o faith_n peace_n and_o confidence_n with_o the_o true_a detestation_n of_o his_o sin_n which_o like_o a_o witch_n so_o inchaunt_v and_o disable_v he_o of_o all_o courage_n and_o boldness_n and_o turn_v he_o into_o a_o very_a coward_n and_o weakling_n now_o in_o that_o man_n do_v not_o perceive_v this_o as_o they_o may_v easy_o do_v their_o blindfold_n of_o themselves_o and_o harden_v of_o their_o heart_n be_v the_o cause_n thereof_o now_o deborah_n turn_v herself_o to_o diverse_a kind_n of_o man_n and_o distinguish_v verse_n they_o one_o from_o another_o exhort_v they_o all_o as_o she_o herself_o do_v to_o rich_a merchant_n that_o ride_v on_o costly_a beast_n that_o be_v as_o he_o call_v they_o white_a ass_n and_o such_o as_o sit_v in_o judgement_n and_o three_o in_o this_o same_o verse_n also_o she_o speak_v to_o all_o mean_a person_n that_o travail_v on_o foot_n see_v there_o be_v now_o liberty_n for_o they_o to_o pass_v to_o and_o fro_o in_o the_o high_a way_n she_o move_v these_o i_o say_v to_o magnify_v god_n even_o all_o sort_n of_o people_n who_o go_v out_o and_o in_o by_o the_o gate_n of_o the_o city_n for_o their_o business_n profit_n pleasure_n or_o any_o other_o necessary_a use_n in_o the_o second_o verse_n she_o name_v the_o very_a boy_n and_o girl_n who_o can_v not_o safe_o go_v out_o to_o draw_v water_n without_o danger_n of_o the_o archer_n who_o lie_v in_o wait_n secret_o to_o shoot_v at_o they_o and_o so_o put_v they_o in_o peril_n and_o jeopardy_n of_o their_o life_n or_o to_o be_v sore_o wound_v these_o may_v now_o she_o say_v fetch_v their_o water_n without_o fear_n of_o hurt_n then_o she_o call_v to_o they_o who_o dwell_v in_o village_n and_o unwall_v town_n their_o danger_n have_v be_v very_o great_a so_o as_o they_o be_v drive_v away_o from_o their_o house_n tell_v they_o that_o they_o may_v now_o return_v home_o again_o and_o dwell_v in_o they_o quiet_o as_o in_o time_n past_a and_o last_o of_o all_o she_o speak_v to_o those_o who_o be_v wont_a to_o meet_v in_o the_o gate_n of_o the_o city_n that_o be_v in_o the_o open_a place_n for_o judgement_n all_o these_o she_o move_v to_o praise_v the_o lord_n for_o that_o he_o have_v now_o by_o that_o one_o deliverance_n and_o victory_n set_v they_o all_o at_o liberty_n and_o in_o peace_n now_o to_o make_v our_o profit_n of_o these_o verse_n and_o more_o particular_o to_o examine_v 9_o they_o and_o to_o begin_v with_o the_o nine_o whereas_o she_o say_v in_o this_o verse_n that_o her_o heart_n be_v set_v on_o the_o governor_n of_o israel_n or_o which_o be_v all_o one_o her_o heart_n be_v towards_o they_o to_o provoke_v they_o meaning_n the_o cause_n be_v so_o great_a why_o they_o shall_v praise_v god_n that_o she_o can_v not_o choose_v but_o speak_v to_o they_o as_o if_o she_o shall_v say_v she_o desire_v most_o earnest_o that_o the_o chief_a of_o the_o army_n and_o the_o governor_n and_o captain_n thereof_o and_o great_a man_n shall_v praise_v god_n the_o reason_n be_v because_o our_o cross_n too_o famine_n yet_o the_o people_n be_v but_o a_o few_o pestilence_n sword_n and_o war_n especial_o also_o ill_a season_n of_o drought_n and_o wet_a unless_o their_o murmur_a be_v against_o god_n for_o multiply_a mankind_n what_o cause_n have_v they_o else_o to_o open_v their_o mouth_n and_o complain_v but_o our_o unthankfulnes_n for_o that_o we_o enjoy_v cause_v we_o to_o be_v discontent_v in_o ourselves_o for_o that_o we_o want_v and_o to_o grudge_v against_o god_n for_o partiality_n whereas_o if_o we_o compare_v thing_n equal_o we_o have_v ten_o time_n more_o cause_n of_o prefer_v the_o present_a condition_n take_v it_o with_o all_o hardness_n as_o it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v deny_v but_o there_o be_v much_o and_o so_o oft_o time_n do_v the_o poor_a grudge_n against_o the_o wealthy_a or_o rather_o against_o the_o lord_n who_o make_v 2._o both_o as_o solomon_n say_v one_o repine_v that_o he_o be_v rather_o a_o tenant_n than_o a_o landlord_n a_o underling_n rather_o than_o a_o commander_n a_o deform_a person_n mean_o account_v of_o behind_o hand_n disease_a rather_o than_o as_o such_o or_o such_o wealthy_a man_n great_a personable_a honourable_a before_o hand_n healthful_a consider_v as_o well_o their_o want_n as_o their_o endowment_n their_o grace_n as_o their_o other_o part_n the_o use_n they_o make_v and_o the_o account_n they_o must_v make_v of_o they_o their_o trouble_n also_o which_o accompany_v they_o as_o well_o as_o their_o gift_n and_o blessing_n and_o so_o do_v thou_o shall_v see_v if_o not_o thyself_o equal_a for_o god_n be_v the_o author_n of_o such_o inequality_n and_o that_o in_o great_a wisdom_n yet_o at_o least_o not_o so_o much_o inferior_a to_o be_v sure_a to_o have_v cause_n to_o be_v more_o thankful_a but_o this_o last_o be_v not_o to_o be_v omit_v that_o gedeon_n ask_v for_o the_o miracle_n 4._o which_o their_o father_n tell_v they_o of_o do_v show_v that_o their_o father_n have_v according_a to_o the_o commandment_n of_o to_o corrupt_v their_o child_n as_o too_o many_o parent_n do_v and_o hurt_v they_o as_o much_o this_o way_n as_o any_o other_o who_o yet_o be_v not_o a_o few_o but_o they_o shall_v cause_v they_o to_o drink_v in_o the_o water_n of_o life_n by_o good_a instruction_n and_o if_o parent_n plead_v their_o own_o inability_n hereto_o let_v they_o know_v that_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o word_n be_v a_o special_a mean_a to_o supply_v that_o want_n let_v they_o be_v diligent_a hearer_n themselves_o and_o tell_v the_o same_o forth_o to_o other_o and_o stir_v up_o their_o child_n to_o do_v so_o that_o so_o by_o lineal_a descent_n the_o knowledge_n and_o fear_n of_o god_n may_v be_v derive_v to_o their_o posterity_n that_o the_o lord_n and_o his_o goodness_n to_o they_o may_v be_v have_v in_o perpetual_a remembrance_n and_o let_v their_o child_n see_v that_o they_o mind_n god_n matter_n with_o no_o less_o cheerfulness_n and_o regard_n than_o they_o have_v do_v their_o worldly_a affair_n and_o to_o this_o let_v their_o parent_n train_v they_o for_o else_o they_o will_v see_v light_n at_o a_o crevise_n and_o we_o know_v it_o quick_o prick_v that_o will_v be_v a_o thorn_n as_o they_o be_v frame_v up_o and_o manure_v at_o first_o so_o their_o soil_n will_v after_o either_o bear_v thorn_n and_o brier_n or_o good_a fruit_n the_o thirty_o nine_o sermon_n on_o the_o six_z chapter_n he_o able_a to_o deliver_v israel_n which_o to_o do_v be_v no_o less_o than_o to_o work_v a_o miracle_n by_o this_o we_o all_o that_o fear_n god_n be_v teach_v that_o the_o time_n be_v not_o so_o hard_a no_o not_o when_o we_o be_v in_o affliction_n as_o we_o take_v they_o to_o be_v for_o either_o help_n be_v near_a to_o we_o than_o we_o be_v aware_a as_o it_o be_v here_o with_o gedeon_n or_o we_o make_v our_o note_n trouble_n seem_v great_a than_o it_o be_v in_o itself_o by_o aggravate_v it_o when_o yet_o we_o may_v see_v that_o it_o either_o be_v not_o so_o great_a as_o it_o seem_v or_o may_v be_v many_o way_n great_a or_o we_o have_v great_a comfort_n elsewhere_o which_o be_v able_a to_o assuage_v our_o sorrow_n if_o we_o do_v not_o overwhelm_v our_o heart_n with_o immoderate_a heaviness_n which_o drive_v away_o all_o comfort_n from_o us._n and_o therefore_o when_o we_o be_v sad_a and_o heavy_a through_o want_n and_o cross_n this_o lesson_n shall_v be_v well_o learn_v before_o of_o we_o that_o for_o all_o this_o the_o lord_n be_v with_o we_o and_o he_o be_v good_a to_o we_o for_o even_o so_o have_v other_o our_o good_a father_n be_v before_o we_o persuade_v in_o their_o affliction_n and_o though_o they_o have_v now_o a_o end_n of_o all_o such_o languish_a fear_n doleful_a doubt_n and_o troublesome_a thought_n yet_o in_o their_o time_n they_o have_v their_o note_n part_n in_o they_o as_o we_o still_o have_v and_o we_o shall_v have_v a_o end_n of_o they_o and_o rest_n from_o they_o as_o they_o now_o do_v there_o have_v no_o temptation_n take_v we_o but_o such_o as_o appertain_v to_o man_n and_o 13._o god_n be_v faithful_a who_o will_v not_o suffer_v we_o to_o be_v tempt_v above_o that_o we_o be_v able_a but_o will_v even_o give_v the_o issue_n with_o the_o temptation_n that_o we_o may_v be_v able_a to_o bear_v it_o and_o therefore_o as_o our_o saviour_n say_v to_o his_o apostle_n when_o their_o heart_n be_v trouble_v beyond_o measure_n for_o his_o bodily_a depart_n from_o they_o let_v not_o your_o heart_n be_v trouble_v believe_v in_o god_n and_o believe_v in_o i_o that_o i_o can_v help_v you_o 1._o still_o and_o will_v be_v with_o you_o so_o shall_v we_o do_v that_o be_v not_o look_v with_o both_o eye_n upon_o our_o affliction_n but_o with_o one_o eye_n upon_o his_o constant_a love_n and_o assure_a note_n promise_n yea_o and_o settle_v our_o hope_n therein_o more_o thorough_o by_o say_v as_o god_n command_v have_v not_o he_o bid_v we_o do_v so_o even_o as_o
well_o all_o that_o they_o have_v say_v but_o i_o will_v not_o take_v their_o word_n and_o why_o oh_o there_o be_v no_o such_o heart_n in_o they_o say_v he_o as_o their_o tongue_n will_v seem_v to_o import_v for_o even_o as_o a_o lewd_a housewife_n who_o be_v run_v away_o from_o her_o husband_n or_o any_o ill_a debtor_n who_o be_v flee_v for_o debt_n if_o they_o be_v take_v and_o terrify_v with_o the_o law_n they_o will_v not_o stick_v to_o say_v and_o swear_v to_o any_o condition_n which_o be_v offer_v they_o so_o that_o the_o present_a danger_n and_o shame_n may_v be_v remit_v whereas_o yet_o they_o be_v as_o treacherous_a and_o loose_a afterward_o as_o ever_o before_o as_o the_o issue_n prove_v in_o thief_n and_o other_o malefactor_n even_o so_o when_o vile_a person_n be_v under_o god_n punishment_n from_o who_o they_o see_v there_o be_v no_o break_v away_o by_o strong_a hand_n what_o will_v they_o not_o say_v in_o accuse_v and_o condemn_v themselves_o nay_o who_o can_v shame_v they_o as_o they_o will_v themselves_o for_o their_o sin_n or_o who_o can_v so_o denounce_v and_o plead_v against_o they_o as_o themselves_o what_o will_v they_o not_o promise_v upon_o condition_n of_o release_n from_o the_o present_a woe_n they_o be_v in_o and_o yet_o when_o these_o man_n come_v to_o the_o trial_n they_o fly_v touch_v and_o recoil_v again_o as_o if_o there_o be_v no_o witness_n to_o convince_v they_o and_o as_o if_o all_o they_o say_v have_v be_v speak_v in_o a_o trance_n oh_o therefore_o those_o force_a exclamation_n and_o complaint_n which_o either_o for_o horror_n and_o fear_v a_o grieve_a soul_n make_v or_o which_o a_o body_n pinch_v and_o in_o distress_n compel_v a_o man_n unto_o how_o may_v they_o be_v take_v for_o approve_a testimony_n of_o repentance_n either_o by_o themselves_o or_o by_o other_o yea_o such_o as_o know_v they_o have_v often_o abuse_v the_o lord_n thus_o as_o if_o they_o have_v he_o at_o command_n to_o order_v he_o as_o they_o list_v upon_o each_o flatter_a promise_n whereas_o it_o be_v his_o wonderful_a mercy_n that_o he_o will_v forbear_v they_o and_o offer_v they_o mean_n of_o search_v themselves_o better_a let_v they_o repent_v therefore_o of_o this_o play_v wily_a beguy_o with_o god_n oh_o how_o shall_v this_o terrify_v they_o and_o scare_v they_o that_o the_o lord_n still_o count_v they_o but_o hollow_a person_n rot_v at_o the_o heart_n and_o false_a in_o their_o covenant_n and_o therefore_o that_o he_o will_v at_o one_o time_n or_o other_o reckon_v with_o they_o for_o all_o their_o villainy_n and_o hypocrisy_n which_o they_o dare_v cover_v under_o the_o vizard_n speech_n of_o humbleness_n and_o truth_n as_o for_o we_o who_o have_v learned_a and_o practise_v better_a let_v we_o beware_v that_o as_o paul_n 22._o bid_v timothy_n not_o to_o lay_v hand_n sudden_o upon_o any_o so_o that_o we_o do_v not_o light_o judge_v well_o or_o commend_v the_o estate_n of_o any_o man_n upon_o so_o slender_a benefit_n to_o their_o remembrance_n to_o prick_v their_o conscience_n and_o therefore_o to_o speak_v the_o truth_n what_o encouragement_n 12._o can_v they_o have_v in_o come_v to_o god_n in_o their_o need_n for_o help_v who_o they_o have_v deal_v so_o treacherous_o with_o before_o especial_o they_o have_v no_o testimony_n that_o they_o come_v in_o remorse_n and_o shame_n for_o their_o former_a revolt_n and_o with_o firm_a and_o resolute_a persuasion_n both_o that_o god_n will_v pardon_v they_o and_o that_o themselves_o will_v no_o more_o fall_v from_o he_o so_o how_o can_v any_o of_o we_o in_o our_o need_n do_v as_o they_o do_v but_o we_o must_v look_v for_o the_o like_a answer_n from_o he_o and_o so_o we_o have_v though_o not_o by_o voice_n from_o heaven_n yet_o by_o the_o fearful_a accusation_n of_o our_o conscience_n and_o by_o his_o word_n in_o canonical_a scripture_n and_o as_o for_o man_n that_o have_v be_v so_o deal_v with_o by_o any_o neighbour_n yea_o though_o it_o be_v but_o once_o if_o they_o have_v be_v beneficial_a to_o they_o they_o will_v soon_o show_v they_o their_o mind_n that_o be_v how_o great_o they_o detest_v such_o unthankfulness_n and_o falsehood_n but_o how_o we_o shall_v be_v move_v by_o the_o hear_n of_o god_n benefit_n bring_v to_o our_o remembrance_n and_o of_o such_o like_a matter_n i_o have_v speak_v large_o in_o the_o second_o chapter_n vers_fw-la 1._o 2._o 3._o this_o speech_n of_o the_o lord_n namely_o i_o will_v deliver_v you_o no_o more_o because_o afterward_o 1â—_n he_o do_v deliver_v they_o give_v occasion_n of_o some_o doubt_n
