of_o prayer_n and_o together_o teach_v the_o exercise_n of_o those_o necessary_a grace_n of_o humility_n and_o faith_n consider_v what_o we_o be_v and_o what_o we_o need_v we_o be_v natural_o as_o the_o laodicean_n angel_n 3.17_o angel_n rev._n 3.17_o miserable_a poor_a blind_a and_o naked_a and_o want_v all_o thing_n we_o know_v not_o what_o we_o need_v and_o therefore_o 8.26_o therefore_o rom._n 8.26_o know_v not_o what_o to_o pray_v for_o nor_o how_o to_o pray_v as_o we_o ought_v here_o therefore_o we_o pray_v that_o god_n who_o know_v our_o ignorance_n in_o ask_v and_o what_o thing_n we_o have_v need_n of_o before_o we_o ask_v will_v give_v we_o those_o thing_n which_o for_o our_o blindness_n we_o can_v ask_v again_o we_o be_v person_n guilty_a of_o much_o unthankfulness_n to_o god_n of_o many_o high_a provocation_n against_o god_n and_o let_v any_o man_n serious_o consider_v and_o compare_v his_o own_o contemptible_a baseness_n with_o god_n glorious_a incomprehensible_a majesty_n his_o own_o filthiness_n and_o impurity_n with_o god_n spotless_a purity_n and_o holiness_n his_o own_o frequent_a lapse_n yea_o rebellion_n with_o god_n most_o exact_a justice_n and_o righteousness_n and_o then_o say_v if_o when_o he_o have_v nothing_o else_o to_o bottom_v his_o hope_n and_o confidence_n upon_o his_o flesh_n do_v not_o tremble_v and_o his_o heart_n quake_v in_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n if_o such_o a_o worm_n of_o earth_n vile_a dust_n sinful_a wretch_n can_v dare_v to_o send_v up_o any_o request_n to_o such_o a_o glory_n here_o we_o must_v say_v our_o conscience_n be_v afraid_a and_o our_o prayer_n dare_v not_o presume_v to_o ask_v but_o then_o let_v this_o poor_a penitent_a sinner_n set_v before_o he_o the_o long_o experience_a mercy_n the_o inconceivable_a goodness_n and_o rich_a overflow_a grace_n of_o god_n the_o meritorious_a suffering_n and_o infinite_a merit_n of_o the_o blood_n of_o jesus_n and_o his_o continual_a intercession_n dare_v not_o do_v thus_o through_o jesus_n christ_n we_o ask_v for_o his_o sake_n and_o worthiness_n we_o
