particular_n the_o high_a and_o noble_a faculty_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v the_o understanding_n that_o whereby_o we_o apprehend_v and_o judge_v of_o thing_n now_o covetousness_n clog_n and_o burden_n quick_a and_o nimble_a enough_o but_o come_v to_o spiritual_a thing_n that_o concern_v the_o life_n to_o come_v and_o there_o he_o be_v a_o very_a nichodemus_n he_o understand_v nothing_o covetousness_n be_v to_o the_o understanding_n like_o the_o nail_n of_o jael_n say_v the_o text_n jael_n drive_v the_o nail_n through_o siseras_n temple_n when_o he_o be_v asleep_a and_o fasten_v thing_n of_o the_o spirit_n we_o see_v then_o covetousness_n it_o burden_v the_o chief_a faculty_n of_o the_o soul_n the_o understanding_n and_o so_o for_o the_o other_o faculty_n the_o will_n and_o the_o affection_n it_o burden_v they_o it_o make_v the_o will_n and_o the_o affection_n of_o a_o man_n when_o once_o it_o possess_v they_o like_o the_o woman_n in_o the_o gospel_n that_o have_v a_o disease_n and_o infirmity_n 18._o year_n say_v the_o text_n she_o be_v bow_v together_o that_o she_o can_v no_o way_n lift_v up_o herself_o luke_n 13.1_o so_o it_o be_v with_o a_o covetous_a man_n it_o bend_v they_o so_o to_o the_o ground_n that_o they_o can_v constant_o delight_v in_o these_o thing_n i_o grant_v that_o a_o cove_n ous_a man_n for_o a_o fit_a for_o a_o while_n his_o will_n and_o affection_n may_v lift_v up_o themselves_o a_o little_a but_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o hold_v out_o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o weight_n bear_v he_o down_o again_o and_o oppress_v he_o he_o first_o thing_n we_o must_v labour_v for_o be_v the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o grievousnesse_n of_o they_o to_o feel_v how_o they_o burden_n we_o both_o in_o spiritual_a duty_n and_o other_o how_o they_o press_v our_o soul_n except_o we_o be_v disburden_v of_o they_o in_o time_n even_o to_o hell_n spirit_n 2_o go_v to_o christ_n for_o his_o spirit_n second_o let_v we_o go_v to_o christ_n for_o as_o it_o be_v christ_n that_o bear_v our_o burden_n for_o we_o so_o he_o likewise_o be_v able_a to_o take_v our_o burden_n from_o we_o let_v we_o go_v to_o he_o and_o desire_v he_o to_o send_v his_o spirit_n into_o our_o heart_n that_o be_v a_o spirit_n of_o strength_n and_o power_n able_a to_o lift_v off_o these_o burden_n for_o as_o i_o tell_v you_o when_o he_o say_v here_o take_v heed_n lest_o your_o heart_n be_v overcharge_v it_o signify_v such_o a_o burden_n as_o be_v a_o grievous_a oppress_a burden_n such_o as_o can_v be_v lift_v but_o with_o a_o giant_n at_o i_o such_o a_o burden_n be_v these_o sin_n they_o oppress_v the_o soul_n and_o none_o but_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n can_v case_v we_o of_o they_o therefore_o let_v we_o go_v to_o christ_n and_o desire_v he_o to_o send_v his_o spirit_n into_o our_o heart_n to_o ease_v we_o of_o this_o burden_n look_v as_o it_o be_v with_o those_o that_o be_v trouble_v with_o the_o incubus_n the_o nightmare_n when_o they_o feel_v a_o great_a race_n that_o be_v set_v before_o we_o three_o and_o last_o let_v we_o use_v the_o mean_n beside_o these_o there_o be_v some_o mean_n to_o be_v use_v to_o disburden_v ourselves_o contrary_n 3._o to_o practice_v the_o contrary_n what_o be_v those_o look_v as_o in_o physic_n the_o rule_n be_v contrary_n be_v cure_v by_o contrary_n so_o if_o we_o have_v burden_a ourselves_o by_o surfeit_v let_v we_o disburden_v ourselves_o by_o the_o contrary_a if_o we_o have_v burden_a ourselves_o by_o eat_v immoderate_o let_v we_o put_v the_o knife_n to_o our_o throat_n abridge_v ourselves_o in_o the_o use_n of_o meat_n not_o to_o eat_v so_o much_o as_o we_o may_v do_v for_o as_o i_o say_v before_o out_o of_o that_o doubtful_a author_n he_o that_o will_v go_v in_o the_o use_n of_o indifferent_a thing_n as_o far_o as_o he_o may_v to_o the_o utmost_a length_n of_o his_o tether_n it_o be_v a_o thousand_o to_o one_o but_o that_o man_n will_v offend_v he_o that_o sleep_v upon_o the_o pitch_n or_o brink_n of_o a_o downfall_n or_o precipis_fw-la it_o be_v twenty_o to_o one_o but_o he_o fall_v and_o so_o for_o drunkenness_n if_o our_o heart_n and_o soul_n be_v oppress_v with_o the_o excessive_a use_n of_o strong_a drink_n faith_n the_o apostle_n rather_o than_o i_o will_v offend_v my_o brother_n i_o will_v not_o eat_v flesh_n while_o i_o live_v if_o the_o apostle_n argument_n be_v good_a rather_o than_o i_o will_v offend_v my_o brother_n i_o will_v not_o eat_v flesh_n the_o argument_n will_v hold_v thus_o too_o that_o rather_o than_o we_o will_v offend_v ourselves_o and_o burden_n our_o soul_n
