to_o prove_v this_o truth_n that_o the_o equity_n of_o the_o judicial_a law_n remain_v not_o as_o a_o counsel_n which_o man_n may_v follow_v if_o ☞_o they_o list_v and_o leave_v at_o their_o pleasure_n but_o as_o a_o law_n whereto_o they_o be_v bind_v argument_n i_o shall_v prove_v by_o a_o argument_n take_v from_o that_o of_o the_o apostle_n in_o 1_o cor_n 9_o where_o after_o he_o have_v those_o judicial_n to_o all_o the_o circumstance_n whereof_o we_o be_v not_o bind_v we_o be_v yet_o bind_v to_o the_o equity_n of_o they_o it_o remain_v to_o show_v that_o there_o be_v certain_a judicial_a law_n which_o can_v be_v change_v as_o that_o a_o blasphemer_n contemptuous_a and_o stubborn_a idolater_n etc._n etc._n ought_v to_o be_v put_v to_o death_n they_o which_o will_v have_v this_o leave_v at_o liberty_n have_v nothing_o to_o allege_v to_o colour_v their_o looseness_n but_o the_o come_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o passion_n but_o they_o do_v not_o see_v how_o this_o their_o argue_v faulter_v divers_a way_n for_o 1._o it_o be_v a_o childish_a error_n to_o think_v that_o our_o saviour_n christ_n come_v to_o exempt_a man_n from_o corporal_a death_n which_o the_o law_n cast_v upon_o evil_a doer_n when_o as_o he_o come_v not_o to_o deliver_v from_o death_n which_o be_v the_o part_n of_o the_o body_n from_o the_o soul_n but_o from_o that_o which_o be_v the_o separation_n both_o of_o body_n and_o soul_n from_o the_o gracious_a presence_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o if_o it_o be_v so_o that_o our_o saviour_n christ_n have_v bear_v in_o his_o body_n this_o civil_a punishment_n of_o public_a offender_n it_o must_v thereupon_o follow_v not_o that_o it_o be_v in_o the_o liberty_n of_o the_o magistrate_n to_o put_v they_o to_o de●th_n but_o that_o he_o must_v will_v he_o will_v he_o if_o they_o repent_v keep_v they_o alive_a for_o if_o our_o saviour_n have_v answer_v that_o justice_n of_o god_n in_o his_o law_n whereby_o he_o have_v command_v that_o such_o malefactor_n shall_v be_v put_v to_o death_n 99_o it_o shall_v be_v great_a injustice_n to_o require_v that_o again_o in_o the_o life_n of_o the_o offender_n 2._o again_o this_o opinion_n be_v injurious_a to_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n for_o if_o he_o be_v for_o this_o cause_n make_v manifest_a in_o the_o flesh_n that_o he_o may_v destroy_v sin_n which_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o devil_n 1_o ioh._n 3._o 8._o this_o imagination_n of_o a_o liberty_n leave_v to_o the_o magistrate_n whether_o he_o will_v put_v they_o to_o death_n or_o not_o do_v make_v christ_n build_v again_o that_o kingdom_n of_o sin_n which_o he_o have_v destroy_v for_o when_o both_o in_o common_a reason_n and_o by_o the_o manifest_a word_n of_o god_n the_o lord_n give_v this_o blessing_n unto_o the_o punishment_n of_o such_o grievous_a offender_n by_o death_n 19_o that_o other_o not_o only_o which_o see_v but_o also_o which_o hear_v of_o they_o have_v the_o bridle_n of_o fear_n put_v upon_o they_o whereby_o they_o be_v withhold_v from_o the_o like_a crime_n it_o must_v needs_o follow_v that_o whosoever_o make_v our_o saviour_n christ_n author_n of_o this_o looseness_n in_o not_o punish_v such_o offender_n make_v he_o forthwith_o to_o lose_v the_o bridle_n whereby_o other_o be_v stay_v from_o throw_v themselves_o down_o the_o hill_n of_o wickedness_n which_o be_v before_o commit_v and_o what_o be_v if_o this_o be_v not_o to_o make_v our_o saviour_n christ_n a_o troubler_n of_o commonwealth_n moreover_o if_o our_o saviour_n christ_n by_o his_o come_n loose_v these_o civil_a punishment_n and_o purchase_v this_o grace_n of_o his_o father_n for_o blasphemer_n etc._n etc._n that_o if_o they_o can_v find_v favour_n in_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o magistrate_n they_o may_v escape_v the_o hand_n of_o death_n force_n which_o the_o law_n of_o god_n adjudge_v they_o unto_o how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v that_o the_o apostle_n to_o who_o the_o lord_n commit_v the_o publish_n of_o all_o that_o pardon_v which_o he_o obtain_v for_o we_o do_v never_o make_v mention_n of_o the_o slake_n of_o these_o punishment_n if_o our_o saviour_n christ_n have_v obtain_v this_o liberty_n it_o be_v worthy_a the_o preach_n and_o therefore_o unless_o d._n w._n can_v show_v something_o out_o of_o the_o writing_n of_o the_o apostle_n joe_fw-la to_o warrant_v this_o sanctuary_n which_o he_o will_v so_o fain_o build_v to_o the_o support_n of_o blasphemer_n murderer_n etc._n etc._n it_o follow_v that_o the_o apostle_n by_o his_o say_n have_v not_o answer_v the_o trust_n commit_v unto_o they_o but_o if_o all_o godly_a mind_n do_v abhor_v these_o absurdity_n there_o be_v no_o cause_n why_o they_o shall_v like_v of_o this_o corruption_n of_o the_o doctor_n whereupon_o all_o these_o depend_v nay_o in_o that_o the_o apostle_n put_v a_o sword_n in_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o magistrate_n and_o in_o the_o use_n of_o it_o make_v he_o a_o minister_n and_o servant_n of_o the_o
