thing_n such_o work_n of_o charity_n and_o compassion_n that_o no_o man_n can_v doubt_v but_o he_o have_v sufficient_a ground_n both_o to_o trust_v the_o man_n and_o encourage_v their_o work_n and_o indeed_o it_o be_v very_o needful_a there_o shall_v be_v some_o such_o man_n as_o these_o especial_o about_o this_o great_a city_n the_o apostle_n when_o the_o number_n of_o disciple_n be_v multiply_v think_v fit_a to_o constitute_v certain_a officer_n on_o purpose_n to_o take_v care_n of_o the_o poor_a act_v 6._o and_o there_o have_v need_n be_v always_o a_o number_n of_o man_n attend_v upon_o this_o great_a affair_n and_o they_o have_v need_n be_v man_n very_o exemplary_a for_o piety_n man_n of_o leisure_n and_o estate_n of_o great_a prudence_n and_o humility_n of_o a_o merciful_a temper_n and_o a_o inflexible_a justice_n man_n that_o be_v great_a lover_n of_o piety_n and_o true_a goodness_n where_o ever_o they_o meet_v it_o not_o devote_v fond_o to_o one_o sect_n or_o party_n of_o man_n nor_o yet_o admirer_n of_o theory_n and_o speculation_n of_o nice_a and_o curious_a opinion_n and_o beside_o all_o this_o if_o they_o have_v the_o favour_n and_o allowance_n of_o public_a authority_n and_o enable_v with_o power_n also_o they_o may_v be_v great_o serviceable_a to_o the_o community_n it_o be_v true_a every_o parish_n have_v by_o law_n certain_a man_n appoint_v to_o be_v overseer_n of_o the_o poor_a and_o though_o this_o provision_n which_o the_o law_n have_v make_v be_v good_a yet_o it_o be_v still_o a_o question_n whether_o it_o be_v sufficient_a or_o not_o we_o know_v that_o these_o man_n be_v choose_v in_o course_n and_o order_n according_a to_o the_o house_n or_o by_o their_o stand_n and_o continuance_n in_o their_o several_a parish_n and_o then_o it_o may_v be_v suppose_v it_o may_v sometime_o happen_v that_o those_o may_v be_v choose_v that_o be_v not_o fit_a for_o that_o employment_n either_o because_o they_o be_v man_n that_o can_v afford_v to_o attend_v upon_o that_o work_n or_o for_o want_n of_o some_o other_o qualification_n which_o that_o office_n do_v require_v beside_o they_o be_v limit_v in_o their_o office_n and_o receive_v their_o law_n as_o well_o as_o their_o supply_n from_o the_o neighbourhood_n that_o choose_v they_o and_o though_o they_o be_v oblige_v to_o keep_v man_n from_o starve_v if_o complaint_n be_v make_v yet_o they_o be_v frequent_o overcharge_v with_o the_o number_n of_o the_o poor_a they_o take_v the_o care_n of_o and_o there_o be_v other_o work_n of_o mercy_n that_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v concern_v for_o beside_o the_o bare_a preserve_v the_o poor_a from_o starve_v beside_o all_o that_o have_v be_v say_v the_o modest_a man_n that_o complain_v not_o be_v all_o this_o while_n unprovided_a for_o when_o the_o seven_o deacon_n be_v choose_v to_o dispense_v the_o charity_n of_o the_o church_n it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o number_n of_o the_o disciple_n be_v multiply_v and_o those_o word_n perhaps_o may_v intimate_v to_o we_o the_o occasion_n of_o choose_v these_o officer_n what_o the_o number_n of_o the_o disciple_n be_v then_o we_o be_v not_o indeed_o certain_a but_o yet_o we_o do_v not_o common_a care_n when_o the_o deacon_n be_v choose_v and_o set_v apart_o by_o the_o apostle_n it_o be_v say_v immediate_o thereupon_o that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n increase_v and_o the_o number_n of_o the_o disciple_n multiply_v in_o jerusalem_n great_o and_o a_o great_a company_n of_o the_o priest_n be_v obedient_a to_o the_o faith_n act_v 6.7_o that_o be_v the_o consequent_a of_o that_o bless_a
