above_o all_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n be_v satisfy_v and_o content_v with_o nothing_o but_o with_o the_o lord_n christ_n and_o although_o it_o partake_v of_o many_o thing_n below_o and_o enjoy_v abundance_n of_o outward_a comfort_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o quiet_v till_o it_o rest_n and_o pitch_v itself_o upon_o the_o lord_n and_o find_v and_o feel_v that_o evidence_n and_o assurance_n of_o his_o love_n which_o he_o have_v promise_v unto_o and_o will_v bestow_v on_o those_o who_o love_v he_o as_o for_o all_o thing_n here_o below_o he_o have_v but_o a_o slight_a and_o mean_v and_o base_a esteem_n of_o they_o this_o you_o shall_v see_v apparent_a in_o abraham_n gen._n 15.1_o 2._o fear_v not_o abraham_n say_v god_n i_o be_o thy_o shield_n and_o thy_o exceed_a great_a reward_n what_o go_v childless_a and_o so_o saviourlesse_a as_o i_o may_v so_o speak_v you_o see_v how_o abraham_n mouth_n be_v out_o of_o taste_n with_o all_o other_o thing_n how_o he_o can_v relish_v nothing_o enjoy_v nothing_o in_o comparison_n of_o the_o promise_n though_o he_o have_v otherwise_o what_o he_o will_v or_o can_v desire_v thus_o must_v it_o be_v with_o every_o faithful_a man_n that_o soul_n never_o have_v nor_o never_o shall_v have_v christ_n that_o do_v not_o prize_v he_o above_o all_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n no_o certain_o a_o faithful_a soul_n breathe_v after_o nothing_o so_o much_o as_o mercy_n in_o christ_n look_v after_o and_o long_v for_o nothing_o so_o much_o as_o the_o assurance_n of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n though_o all_o the_o comfort_n of_o this_o world_n be_v afford_v a_o faithful_a man_n yet_o still_o he_o will_v plead_v with_o the_o lord_n oh_o lord_n what_o will_v become_v of_o i_o notwithstanding_o all_o this_o so_o long_o as_o my_o soul_n be_v comfortless_a what_o avail_v it_o i_o to_o live_v here_o oh_o thy_o mercy_n oh_o thy_o salvation_n oh_o the_o lord_n christ_n these_o be_v the_o thing_n my_o soul_n breathe_v after_o this_o my_o they_o who_o have_v the_o privilege_n of_o the_o jew_n the_o word_n and_o the_o oracle_n of_o god_n circumcision_n and_o the_o passeover_n it_o be_v true_a abraham_n be_v their_o father_n but_o not_o only_o they_o that_o have_v no_o more_o but_o those_o privilege_n but_o also_o they_o that_o walk_v in_o the_o footstep_n of_o the_o faith_n of_o abraham_n so_o that_o by_o circumcision_n you_o must_v here_o understand_v all_o these_o prerogative_n and_o privilege_n which_o the_o jew_n have_v above_o any_o other_o nation_n and_o consequent_o that_o none_o of_o all_o those_o privilege_n than_o can_v that_o none_o of_o we_o as_o to_o be_v in_o the_o church_n to_o be_v baptize_v etc._n etc._n now_o can_v make_v a_o man_n to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o abraham_n abraham_n be_v the_o father_n of_o the_o circumcision_n not_o to_o they_o who_o be_v of_o the_o circumcision_n only_o but_o he_o be_v the_o father_n of_o the_o circumcision_n if_o they_o have_v faith_n they_o that_o have_v bare_a circumcision_n only_o may_v indeed_o applaud_v themselves_o therein_o but_o they_o shall_v never_o receive_v thereby_o those_o thing_n god_n have_v promise_v this_o be_v the_o negative_a second_o the_o affirmative_a part_n show_v who_o they_o be_v indeed_o that_o shall_v true_o be_v partaker_n of_o the_o comfort_n and_o grace_n of_o abraham_n namely_o those_o that_o walk_v in_o the_o footstep_n of_o that_o faith_n of_o abraham_n if_o a_o man_n believe_v as_o he_o do_v work_v as_o he_o do_v walk_v as_o he_o do_v so_o only_o he_o may_v come_v to_o have_v title_n unto_o and_o circumcision_n to_o they_o who_o be_v not_o of_o the_o circumcision_n only_o that_o be_v if_o they_o enjoy_v only_o outward_a privilege_n they_o be_v not_o the_o child_n of_o abraham_n the_o point_n we_o learn_v hence_o be_v thus_o much_o that_o all_o outward_a privilege_n as_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o word_n the_o partake_n of_o the_o sacrament_n and_o the_o like_a be_v not_o able_a to_o make_v a_o man_n a_o sound_a saint_n of_o god_n the_o point_n be_v clear_a in_o the_o text_n that_o if_o a_o man_n have_v circumcision_n that_o be_v if_o he_o have_v all_o those_o preferment_n that_o god_n vouchsafe_v to_o a_o people_n in_o the_o face_n and_o bosom_n of_o his_o church_n this_o will_v not_o do_v he_o any_o good_a at_o all_o he_o have_v no_o title_n to_o the_o promise_n because_o of_o
