let_v he_o be_v partaker_n of_o our_o discourse_n if_o he_o like_v of_o it_o aâ—d_v be_v willing_a so_o to_o do_v eâ—â—h_o my_o friend_n i_o pray_v come_v and_o sit_v down_o here_o and_o hearken_v to_o our_o discourse_n here_o be_v some_o of_o the_o massachuset_n pray_v indian_n who_o be_v solicit_v i_o to_o pray_v unto_o god_n and_o we_o be_v now_o discourse_v about_o a_o book_n which_o they_o have_v which_o they_o say_v be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o i_o be_o now_o inquire_v of_o they_o what_o be_v contain_v in_o that_o book_n and_o how_o it_o may_v be_v make_v appear_v that_o it_o be_v the_o word_n of_o godâ—_n if_o you_o think_v good_a to_o join_v with_o we_o in_o this_o discourse_n it_o will_v be_v acceptable_a unto_o we_o to_o have_v your_o company_n and_o to_o hear_v what_o you_o have_v to_o say_v about_o it_o sachem_n i_o be_o willing_a to_o be_v present_a and_o hear_v your_o discourse_n but_o as_o for_o this_o new_a way_n of_o pray_v to_o god_n i_o like_v it_o not_o we_o and_o our_o forefather_n have_v through_o all_o generation_n live_v in_o our_o religion_n which_o i_o desire_v not_o to_o change_v be_v we_o wise_a than_o our_o forefather_n and_o i_o like_v not_o to_o suffer_v our_o people_n to_o read_v that_o book_n which_o they_o call_v the_o word_n of_o god_n if_o it_o be_v god_n word_n it_o be_v too_o deep_a for_o ignorant_a people_n to_o meddle_v withal_o and_o it_o will_v â—ill_v they_o with_o new_a light_n and_o notion_n which_o withdraw_v they_o from_o our_o obedience_n and_o lead_v they_o to_o make_v trouble_n and_o disturbance_n unto_o we_o in_o those_o old_a way_n in_o which_o we_o and_o our_o forefather_n have_v walk_v and_o my_o counsel_n be_v to_o suppress_v the_o read_n of_o that_o book_n ant._n with_o due_a respect_n unto_o you_o sachem_n i_o shall_v thus_o answer_v unto_o what_o you_o sâ—y_v if_o a_o great_a sachem_n in_o a_o far_a country_n shall_v send_v unto_o you_o a_o writing_n wherein_o he_o give_v you_o wise_a the_o ignorant_a and_o will_v you_o not_o suffer_v your_o people_n to_o learn_v that_o wisdom_n do_v you_o love_v darkness_n better_o than_o light_n beside_o all_o mankind_n live_v in_o the_o way_n of_o sin_n which_o lead_v they_o to_o hell_n torment_n where_o they_o shall_v be_v punish_v with_o eternal_a fire_n but_o god_n pity_v this_o miserable_a condition_n of_o man_n have_v send_v we_o this_o word_n of_o he_o which_o show_v we_o the_o way_n to_o escape_v hell_n torment_n and_o lead_v we_o into_o the_o way_n that_o lead_v we_o to_o eternal_a life_n happiness_n and_o glory_n and_o will_v not_o you_o suffer_v your_o people_n to_o learn_v this_o good_a way_n when_o god_n offer_v it_o unto_o we_o consider_v how_o your_o people_n will_v curse_v you_o when_o they_o feel_v these_o torment_n because_o you_o will_v not_o suffer_v they_o to_o learn_v the_o true_a way_n to_o heaven_n and_o happiness_n and_o what_o though_o we_o be_v not_o wise_a than_o our_o forefather_n yet_o god_n can_v teach_v we_o such_o wisdom_n as_o our_o forefather_n do_v not_o know_v i_o think_v that_o we_o be_v bind_v to_o think_v that_o our_o father_n be_v so_o wise_a that_o if_o god_n word_n â—ad_v be_v bring_v and_o offer_v to_o they_o they_o will_v have_v receive_v it_o and_o will_v have_v learn_v by_o it_o to_o be_v wise_a than_o they_o be_v and_o why_o therefore_o shall_v not_o we_o
