their_o flesh_n their_o very_a body_n and_o as_o near_o to_o they_o no_o man_n hate_v his_o own_o flesh_n but_o cherish_v it_o so_o no_o man_n natural_o hate_v his_o corrupt_a nature_n which_o he_o bring_v into_o the_o world_n with_o he_o but_o every_o one_o cherish_v and_o nourish_v his_o corruption_n and_o make_v provision_n for_o it_o till_o he_o be_v renew_v yea_o how_o many_o show_n more_o love_n more_o tenderness_n towards_o their_o corruption_n than_o to_o their_o very_a body_n how_o many_o endure_v much_o suffer_v great_o in_o their_o body_n and_o venture_v and_o lose_v not_o unusual_o their_o life_n itself_o from_o their_o love_n to_o some_o vile_a lust_n which_o be_v to_o they_o as_o their_o right_a eye_n their_o right_a hand_n or_o right_a foot_n and_o as_o their_o life_n itself_o skin_n for_o skin_n and_o all_o that_o a_o man_n have_v will_v he_o give_v for_o his_o life_n only_o a_o man_n lust_n that_o be_v many_o time_n so_o dear_a to_o he_o he_o will_v hazard_v his_o life_n to_o satisfy_v it_o rather_o than_o lay_v it_o aside_o or_o part_n with_o it_o 3._o corruption_n grow_v with_o the_o flesh_n and_o as_o the_o flesh_n be_v strong_a or_o weak_a so_o frequent_o be_v the_o working_n of_o lust_n hence_o the_o apostle_n say_v he_o keep_v under_o his_o body_n in_o fickness_n in_o bodily_a weakness_n this_o and_o that_o sin_n do_v not_o ordinary_o when_o his_o understanding_n go_v from_o he_o fit_a for_o the_o society_n of_o beast_n than_o of_o reasonable_a creature_n live_v like_o themselves_o when_o a_o lust_n prevail_v in_o the_o psalmist_n all_o member_n have_v not_o the_o same_o office_n so_o be_v the_o mystical_a body_n of_o christ_n his_o church_n and_o thus_o be_v it_o with_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n it_o have_v divers_a part_n and_o member_n and_o therefore_o may_v be_v call_v in_o that_o place_n to_o the_o colossian_n even_o now_o cite_v the_o body_n of_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o flesh_n there_o be_v pride_n hatred_n hypocrisy_n covetousness_n unbelief_n with_o many_o more_o all_o which_o be_v as_o member_n of_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n there_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o union_n between_o they_o they_o all_o together_o make_v one_o corrupt_a nature_n and_o each_o of_o they_o differ_v in_o the_o proper_a nature_n thereof_o and_o in_o its_o work_n or_o act_v as_o the_o hand_n be_v one_o thing_n and_o act_n in_o one_o manner_n manifest_a to_o all_o so_o some_o lust_n be_v more_o secret_a and_o not_o so_o common_o or_o easy_o perceive_v as_o other_o be_v which_o daily_o show_v themselves_o as_o also_o the_o be_v and_o subsistence_n or_o life_n of_o the_o body_n lie_v chief_o in_o those_o part_n that_o be_v within_o as_o the_o heart_n liver_n lung_n which_o be_v more_o necessary_a to_o the_o body_n its_o subsist_v than_o the_o outward_a part_n as_o hand_n leg_n so_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n have_v its_o be_v principal_o in_o those_o sin_n that_o be_v more_o secret_a less_o obvious_a such_o as_o hypocrifie_n unbelief_n formality_n covetousness_n vanity_n of_o mind_n these_o be_v as_o the_o heart_n liver_n and_o lung_n of_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n it_o will_v no_o long_o subsist_v be_v there_o nothing_o of_o such_o sin_n within_o we_o whereas_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n may_v and_o oft_o do_v continue_v and_o that_o strong_a and_o lusty_a without_o some_o outward_a more_o manifest_a sin_n such_o as_o to_o god_n and_o faith_n of_o his_o word_n and_o if_o the_o spirit_n work_v with_o we_o it_o cause_v we_o to_o strive_v to_o ruin_v sin_n not_o only_o as_o contrary_v to_o we_o but_o as_o contrary_a to_o the_o law_n nature_n and_o name_n of_o god_n and_o honour_n of_o christ_n whoever_o aim_v only_o at_o himself_o in_o what_o he_o do_v he_o act_v from_o and_o of_o himself_o and_o be_v not_o act_v by_o the_o spirit_n for_o though_o the_o spirit_n love_v all_o in_o who_o it_o be_v it_o love_v god_n more_o and_o christ_n more_o than_o it_o love_v we_o though_o the_o spirit_n aim_v at_o our_o good_a yet_o more_o at_o the_o honour_n of_o god_n &_o jesus_n christ_n seven_o though_o the_o spirit_n if_o you_o be_v act_v by_o it_o do_v put_v you_o on_o to_o pursue_v all_o your_o sin_n to_o death_n yet_o some_o of_o they_o principal_o as_o the_o more_o strong_o and_o lively_o any_o sin_n be_v the_o more_o it_o steal_v or_o keep_v the_o heart_n from_o god_n the_o more_o it_o hinder_v you_o in_o religious_a service_n the_o more_o hurt_v it_o cause_v you_o to_o do_v to_o other_o by_o offend_v by_o harden_v and_o cause_v they_o to_o stumble_v and_o whatever_o sin_n it_o be_v by_o which_o god_n name_n your_o profession_n and_o your_o soul_n most_o suffer_v that_o you_o especial_o strike_v at_o and_o war_n upon_o chief_o your_o chief_a sin_n your_o iniquity_n your_o master_n corruption_n which_o be_v in_o you_o the_o worst_a for_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v a_o spirit_n of_o wisdom_n and_o when_o it_o afford_v its_o assistance_n it_o be_v according_a to_o true_a wisdom_n therefore_o it_o speak_v saul_n to_o be_v act_v by_o his_o own_o spirit_n in_o that_o he_o spare_v agag_n the_o chief_a of_o the_o amalekit_n against_o who_o god_n send_v he_o whereas_o of_o
