as_o a_o motive_n to_o god_n to_o grant_v the_o petition_n herein_o contain_v 1_o wherein_o observe_v that_o we_o have_v no_o argument_n to_o induce_v god_n to_o goodness_n towards_o we_o but_o such_o only_a as_o be_v draw_v from_o himself_o and_o his_o own_o holy_a and_o great_a attribute_n therefore_o daniel_n renounce_v all_o respect_n draw_v from_o himself_o as_o unpleadable_a 18._o we_o do_v not_o present_v our_o supplication_n before_o thou_o for_o our_o own_o righteousness_n but_o for_o thy_o great_a mercy_n therefore_o he_o pray_v 19_o o_o lord_n hear_v o_o lord_n forgive_v o_o lord_n god_n to_o hear_v our_o prayer_n we_o do_v herein_o acknowledge_v and_o ascribe_v to_o god_n 1_o kingdom_n as_o david_n say_v the_o lord_n be_v king_n the_o earth_n may_v be_v glad_a thereof_o he_o to_o the_o omnipotency_n of_o our_o father_n we_o acknowledge_v he_o able_a to_o do_v whatsoever_o he_o will_v in_o heaven_n and_o earth_n so_o nehemiah_n begin_v his_o prayer_n o_o lord_n god_n of_o heaven_n the_o great_a and_o terrible_a god_n 1.5_o so_o begin_v daniel_n o_o lord_n the_o great_a and_o dreadful_a god_n 9.4_o this_o confession_n of_o god_n power_n do_v incline_v the_o greatness_n and_o might_n of_o god_n to_o stoop_v itself_o to_o we_o for_o power_n take_v no_o joy_n in_o advance_v itself_o against_o weakness_n among_o man_n there_o be_v of_o those_o barbarous_a and_o inhuman_a nature_n which_o abuse_v power_n to_o unmerciful_a tyranny_n and_o oppression_n but_o when_o we_o confess_v the_o power_n of_o god_n we_o submit_v to_o it_o and_o thereby_o move_v the_o god_n of_o power_n to_o declare_v the_o same_o to_o our_o good_a he_o have_v power_n in_o spiritual_a grace_n to_o bestow_v they_o on_o we_o that_o we_o may_v serve_v he_o in_o the_o hallow_n of_o his_o name_n his_o power_n can_v extend_v his_o kingdom_n over_o all_o his_o power_n only_o can_v make_v we_o able_a to_o do_v his_o will_n this_o power_n command_v heaven_n and_o earth_n to_o minister_v to_o our_o necessity_n he_o have_v power_n to_o pardon_v all_o sin_n and_o to_o preserve_v we_o from_o temptation_n and_o evil_n therefore_o the_o consideration_n of_o our_o confession_n of_o his_o power_n move_v he_o to_o grant_v our_o request_n in_o all_o
