remain_v ignorant_a this_o ignorance_n will_v not_o excuse_v any_o man_n if_o it_o be_v of_o such_o thing_n as_o he_o be_v bind_v to_o know_v for_o it_o be_v say_v he_o that_o do_v not_o his_o do_v partly_o with_o his_o will_n and_o partly_o against_o his_o will_n be_v partly_o good_a and_o partly_o evil_a the_o reason_n hereof_o be_v this_o there_o be_v in_o man_n after_o regeneration_n two_o contrary_a ground_n or_o beginning_n of_o action_n to_o wit_n natural_a corruption_n or_o the_o inclination_n of_o the_o mind_n will_n and_o affection_n to_o that_o which_o be_v against_o the_o law_n call_v the_o flesh_n and_o a_o create_a quality_n of_o holiness_n wrought_v in_o the_o say_a faculty_n by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n term_v the_o spirit_n and_o these_o two_o be_v not_o sever_v but_o join_v and_o mingle_v together_o in_o all_o the_o faculty_n and_o power_n of_o the_o soul_n now_o between_o these_o there_o be_v a_o continual_a combat_n corruption_n fight_v against_o grace_n &_o grace_n against_o corruption_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o there_o be_v even_o in_o one_o &_o the_o same_o will_v trarie_a inclination_n there_o must_v necessary_o flow_v from_o the_o man_n regenerate_v contrary_a action_n the_o flesh_n in_o every_o action_n will_v that_o which_o be_v evil_a and_o the_o spirit_n on_o the_o otherside_n that_o which_o be_v good_a this_o paul_n confess_v and_o acknowledge_v upon_o his_o own_o experience_n after_o his_o conversion_n when_o he_o say_v to_o will_n be_v present_a with_o i_o but_o i_o find_v no_o mean_n perfect_o 18._o to_o do_v that_o which_o be_v good_a again_o i_o delight_v in_o 23._o the_o law_n of_o god_n concern_v the_o inner_a man_n but_o i_o see_v a_o other_o law_n in_o my_o member_n rebel_a against_o the_o law_n of_o my_o in_o and_o by_o they_o iii_o rule_n the_o end_n of_o our_o recreation_n must_v be_v to_o refresh_v our_o body_n and_o mind_n it_o be_v then_o a_o abuse_n of_o recreation_n when_o it_o be_v use_v to_o win_v other_o man_n money_n the_o gain_n that_o come_v that_o way_n be_v worse_a than_o usury_n yea_o it_o be_v flat_a theft_n for_o by_o the_o law_n we_o may_v recover_v thing_n steal_v but_o there_o be_v no_o law_n to_o recover_v thing_n win_v and_o yet_o if_o play_v be_v for_o a_o small_a matter_n the_o loss_n whereof_o be_v no_o hurt_n to_o he_o that_o lose_v it_o and_o if_o it_o be_v apply_v to_o a_o common_a good_a it_o be_v lawful_a otherwise_o not_o iv._o rule_n recreation_n must_v be_v moderate_a and_o spare_a even_o as_o the_o use_n of_o meat_n and_o drink_n and_o rest_n whence_o it_o follow_v that_o they_o which_o spend_v their_o whole_a life_n in_o game_n as_o player_n do_v have_v much_o to_o answer_v for_o and_o the_o like_a be_v to_o be_v say_v of_o they_o that_o have_v way_n first_o in_o regard_n of_o time_n for_o we_o must_v redeem_v the_o time_n that_o be_v take_v time_n while_o time_n last_v for_o the_o procure_n of_o life_n everlasting_a eph._n 5._o 16._o this_o condemn_v the_o wicked_a practice_n of_o many_o man_n that_o follow_v this_o game_n and_o that_o to_o drive_v away_o time_n whereas_o they_o shall_v employ_v all_o the_o time_n that_o they_o can_v to_o do_v god_n will_n and_o indeed_o it_o be_v all_o to_o little_a to_o do_v that_o which_o we_o be_v command_v and_o therefore_o while_o it_o be_v call_v to_o day_n let_v we_o make_v all_o the_o have_v we_o can_v to_o repent_v and_o be_v reconcile_v unto_o god_n second_o recreation_n must_v be_v spare_v in_o regard_n of_o our_o affection_n for_o we_o may_v not_o set_v our_o heart_n upon_o sport_n but_o our_o affection_n must_v be_v temper_v and_o allay_v with_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n thus_o solomon_n say_v that_o laughter_n be_v madness_n eccles._n 2._o 2._o so_o farforth_a as_o it_o have_v not_o the_o fear_n and_o reverence_n of_o the_o name_n of_o god_n to_o restrain_v it_o this_o be_v the_o sin_n of_o the_o jew_n reprove_v by_o the_o prophet_n that_o they_o give_v themselves_o beside_o our_o selâ—es_n and_o these_o belong_v to_o the_o practice_n either_o of_o courtesy_n and_o kindness_n or_o equity_n and_o right_n of_o the_o first_o kind_n be_v liberalltie_n of_o the_o second_o be_v justice_n in_o show_v or_o give_v equity_n or_o fortitude_n in_o maintain_v the_o same_o of_o these_o in_o order_n liberality_n be_v a_o virtue_n seat_v in_o the_o will_n whereby_o we_o show_v or_o practice_v courtesy_n and_o kindness_n to_o other_o the_o principal_a question_n touch_v this_o virtue_n may_v be_v refer_v to_o that_o text_n of_o scripture_n which_o be_v write_v luk._n 11._o 41._o therefore_o give_v alm_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o you_o have_v and_o behold_v all_o thing_n shall_v be_v clean_o unto_o you_o the_o word_n be_v a_o rule_n or_o counsel_n deliver_v by_o
