profession_n and_o not_o in_o truth_n in_o they_o that_o profess_v the_o same_o they_o profess_v they_o be_v in_o that_o which_o in_o truth_n they_o never_o be_v for_o under_o the_o gospel_n we_o this_o covenant_n of_o grace_n in_o the_o flesh_n the_o whole_a word_n of_o the_o lord_n disclaim_v it_o and_o will_v give_v no_o countenance_n to_o any_o such_o notion_n so_o destructive_a in_o its_o consequence_n to_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n as_o you_o have_v hear_v before_o object_n but_o some_o may_v object_v and_o say_v but_o this_o which_o you_o call_v a_o covenant_n of_o work_n consist_v of_o temporal_a promise_n and_o also_o law_n and_o statute_n you_o be_v not_o to_o understand_v that_o to_o be_v a_o distinct_a covenant_n from_o the_o covenant_n of_o eternal_a life_n but_o a_o form_n of_o administration_n that_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n be_v then_o administer_v in_o and_o the_o carnal_a child_n be_v not_o then_o interest_v in_o the_o main_a privilege_n of_o the_o covenant_n as_o adoption_n and_o justification_n but_o the_o outward_a promise_n and_o privilege_n only_o make_v to_o their_o father_n answ_n i_o know_v this_o objection_n some_o do_v bring_v which_o if_o it_o be_v well_o weigh_v be_v inconsistent_a with_o their_o own_o argument_n for_o if_o this_o objection_n be_v true_a then_o be_v there_o no_o covenant_n make_v to_o abraham_n seed_n but_o only_o a_o administration_n of_o a_o covenant_n and_o therefore_o ill_o do_v they_o affirm_v that_o the_o covenant_n be_v make_v to_o they_o therefore_o the_o administration_n but_o this_o doubtless_o be_v false_a and_o this_o objection_n as_o i_o say_v be_v false_a and_o groundless_a as_o appear_v by_o several_a express_a testimony_n in_o scripture_n which_o do_v evident_o prove_v two_o distinct_a covenant_n as_o for_o example_n say_v god_n in_o genesis_n chap._n 17._o and_o verse_n 7._o and_o i_o will_v establish_v my_o covenant_n between_o i_o and_o thou_o and_o thy_o seed_n after_o thou_o in_o their_o generation_n for_o a_o everlasting_a covenant_n to_o be_v a_o god_n to_o thou_o and_o to_o thy_o seed_n after_o thou_o where_o observe_v that_o the_o lord_n do_v not_o say_v that_o he_o will_v establish_v a_o administration_n of_o the_o covenant_n with_o his_o seed_n in_o their_o generation_n but_o his_o covenant_n and_o abraham_n and_o his_o seed_n must_v keep_v his_o covenant_n and_o in_o verse_n the_o 13._o this_o my_o covenant_n shall_v be_v in_o your_o flesh_n for_o a_o everlasting_a covenant_n not_o this_o administration_n of_o my_o covenant_n shall_v be_v in_o your_o can_v prove_v another_o ceremonial_a administration_n as_o carnal_a as_o that_o administration_n be_v now_o in_o force_n there_o be_v not_o the_o like_a ground_n why_o carnal_a and_o unbelieving_a
