affliction_n be_v argument_n of_o divine_a wrath_n and_o divine_a hatred_n and_o therefore_o not_o good_a for_o man_n in_o this_o life_n since_o such_o as_o upon_o who_o affliction_n fall_v be_v as_o it_o be_v mark_v out_o by_o god_n as_o the_o object_n of_o his_o hatred_n now_o let_v we_o a_o little_a examine_v this_o and_o search_v whether_o it_o be_v so_o and_o upon_o serious_a and_o strict_a examination_n we_o shall_v find_v it_o be_v a_o error_n be_v contrary_a to_o scripture-truth_n eccles_n 9_o 1._o they_o who_o say_v so_o condemn_v the_o generation_n of_o the_o just_a we_o find_v that_o most_o precious_a saint_n who_o god_n tender_v as_o the_o apple_n of_o his_o eye_n have_v see_v and_o feel_v great_a affliction_n noah_n who_o find_v grace_n in_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o lord_n yet_o see_v a_o world_n drown_v job_n of_o who_o god_n give_v a_o most_o high_a character_n for_o his_o piety_n and_o uprightness_n be_v strip_v of_o all_o to_o a_o shoo-latchet_a david_n a_o man_n after_o god_n own_o heart_n be_v breed_v up_o in_o the_o school_n of_o affliction_n yea_o jesus_n christ_n himself_o who_o be_v the_o belove_a son_n yet_o be_v vir_fw-la dolorum_fw-la a_o man_n of_o sorrow_n you_o shall_v find_v that_o to_o some_o the_o scripture_n make_v affliction_n to_o be_v argument_n of_o divine_a love_n prov._n 3._o 12._o who_o the_o lord_n love_v he_o correct_v as_o a_o father_n do_v his_o son_n in_o who_o he_o delight_v and_o jesus_n christ_n speak_v of_o they_o as_o argument_n of_o love_n rev._n 3._o 19_o as_o many_o as_o i_o love_v i_o rebuke_v and_o chasten_v it_o be_v true_a god_n delight_v not_o in_o afflict_v but_o he_o love_v his_o child_n and_o that_o love_n move_v he_o as_o a_o father_n to_o correct_v and_o afflict_v they_o for_o their_o good_n he_o be_v a_o cruel_a father_n that_o will_v suffer_v his_o child_n to_o die_v for_o want_v of_o a_o little_a physic_n so_o that_o it_o be_v a_o gross_a mistake_n to_o think_v that_o affliction_n be_v always_o the_o wound_n of_o a_o enemy_n but_o of_o this_o more_o shall_v be_v speak_v afterward_o 2._o some_o have_v this_o conceit_n that_o a_o afflict_a condition_n be_v a_o useless_a condition_n and_o therefore_o not_o good_a for_o a_o man_n in_o this_o life_n they_o look_v upon_o affliction_n as_o thing_n that_o a_o man_n may_v be_v very_o well_o without_o we_o shall_v a_o little_a examine_v whether_o this_o be_v true_a or_o no._n many_o indeed_o say_v concern_v affliction_n as_o those_o do_v concern_v nazareth_n can_v any_o good_a come_v out_o of_o nazareth_n so_o can_v any_o good_a come_v out_o of_o affliction_n we_o must_v know_v that_o affliction_n be_v as_o necessary_a for_o
