17._o 1_o cor._n 15._o 49._o full_o enough_o express_v in_o these_o text_n tim._n very_o full_o in_o my_o opinion_n tit._n therefore_o very_o well_o do_v our_o church_n say_v in_o the_o next_o part_n of_o this_o article_n that_o 8._o the_o consideration_n of_o prodestination_n be_v to_o the_o godly_a most_o comfortable_a but_o to_o curious_a and_o carnal_a person_n very_o dangerous_a to_o the_o former_a the_o meditation_n of_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v exceed_v sweet_a pleasant_a and_o comfortable_a because_o it_o great_o confirm_v their_o faith_n in_o christ_n and_o increase_v their_o love_n towards_o god._n i_o account_v the_o suffering_n of_o this_o present_a time_n be_v not_o worthy_a to_o be_v compare_v with_o the_o glory_n that_o shall_v be_v reveal_v in_o we_o if_o god_n be_v for_o we_o who_o 34._o rom._n 8._o 18._o v._o 31_o 32_o 33_o 34._o can_v be_v against_o we_o he_o that_o spare_v not_o his_o own_o son_n how_o shall_v he_o not_o with_o he_o free_o give_v we_o all_o thing_n who_o shall_v lay_v any_o thing_n to_o the_o charge_n of_o god_n elect_n it_o be_v god_n that_o justifi_v who_o be_v he_o that_o condemn_v you_o be_v seal_v with_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o promise_n which_o be_v the_o earnest_n of_o our_o inheritance_n until_o the_o redemption_n of_o the_o purchase_a possession_n unto_o the_o praise_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o again_o grieve_v not_o the_o holy_a spirit_n whereby_o you_o be_v seal_v unto_o the_o 14._o eph._n 1._o 13_o 14._o day_n of_o redemption_n here_o be_v a_o deep_a and_o large_a well_o of_o consolation_n to_o the_o godly_a yet_o not_o give_v you_o rest_n 4._o math._n 11._o 38._o 39_o joh._n 3._o 16._o 17._o 1_o tim._n 2._o 4._o god_n give_v his_o only_a belove_a son_n that_o whosoever_o believe_v in_o he_o shall_v not_o perish_v etc._n etc._n who_o will_v have_v all_o man_n to_o be_v save_v and_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n these_o and_o many_o more_o such_o general_a promiseâ—_n of_o grace_n and_o favour_n to_o mankind_n be_v hearty_o to_o be_v embrace_v of_o we_o as_o encouragement_n to_o faith_n repentance_n and_o a_o holy_a life_n so_o that_o whoever_o embrace_v these_o promise_n and_o as_o our_o church_n in_o the_o close_a of_o this_o article_n say_v 10._o will_v in_o his_o action_n be_v direct_v by_o the_o reveal_v will_n of_o god_n have_v no_o ground_n to_o despair_v or_o to_o exclude_v himself_o out_o of_o the_o number_n of_o god_n predestinate_a or_o choose_a one_o thus_o you_o see_v the_o drift_n of_o this_o article_n comprehend_v most_o full_o and_o clear_o that_o great_a doctrine_n of_o predestination_n with_o all_o its_o coherent_a doctrine_n which_o be_v so_o much_o cry_v down_o in_o our_o day_n and_o which_o be_v the_o wonder_n and_o shame_n of_o all_o by_o some_o son_n of_o our_o church_n who_o have_v subscribe_v it_o tim._n i_o must_v confess_v i_o have_v be_v one_o of_o those_o lead_v by_o the_o example_n of_o the_o great_a one_o rather_o than_o by_o the_o depth_n of_o my_o own_o knowledge_n but_o sure_o these_o man_n have_v something_o to_o say_v for_o themselves_o be_v not_o our_o church_n single_a in_o this_o point_n tit._n admit_v she_o be_v yet_o there_o be_v two_o weighty_a reason_n why_o they_o shall_v not_o desert_n or_o oppose_v she_o in_o this_o first_o because_o she_o have_v the_o scripture_n on_o her_o side_n and_o second_o because_o they_o have_v list_v themselves_o her_o faithful_a votary_n by_o subscription_n tim._n that_o be_v true_a these_o be_v plaguy_a strong_a tie_n tit._n but_o withal_o i_o say_v she_o be_v not_o single_a in_o this_o point_n for_o the_o church_n in_o helvetia_n basil_n and_o france_n believe_v and_o hold_v the_o same_o as_o their_o public_a confession_n bear_v witness_v yea_o all_o the_o reform_a church_n tim._n who_o then_o be_v the_o enemy_n
