line_n of_o faithful_a abraham_n may_v not_o have_v that_o honour_n how_o much_o less_o the_o unbelieving_a seed_n of_o the_o gentile_n that_o be_v wild_a by_o nature_n thus_o you_o see_v in_o brief_a this_o objection_n answer_v and_o that_o there_o be_v no_o ground_n for_o child_n baptism_n but_o a_o imagination_n through_o thick_a darkness_n upon_o the_o mind_n of_o people_n they_o set_v up_o testament_n for_o their_o practice_n but_o ground_n the_o same_o on_o a_o consequence_n which_o you_o have_v hear_v evident_o prove_v be_v draw_v from_o a_o error_n for_o to_o affirm_v or_o maintain_v that_o the_o covenant_n of_o eternal_a life_n be_v make_v with_o believer_n carnal_a seed_n be_v a_o dangerous_a error_n and_o therefore_o the_o consequence_n must_v needs_o be_v as_o false_a and_o rot_a as_o that_o error_n from_o whence_o it_o be_v draw_v then_o judge_v you_o what_o a_o pitiful_a consequence_n that_o must_v be_v take_v the_o whole_a result_n thus_o child_n baptism_n have_v no_o ground_n from_o the_o word_n of_o god_n either_o command_n or_o example_n for_o it_o but_o a_o consequence_n as_o before_o so_o that_o it_o be_v mere_o a_o tradition_n of_o man_n set_v up_o in_o the_o place_n and_o room_n of_o the_o command_v of_o god_n to_o wit_n baptise_v of_o believer_n this_o groundless_a tradition_n which_o make_v void_a the_o commandment_n of_o god_n even_o as_o the_o of_o such_o but_o sure_o i_o be_o that_o if_o they_o judge_v their_o own_o baptism_n or_o sprinkle_n in_o their_o infancy_n to_o be_v a_o ordinance_n of_o god_n they_o can_v but_o judge_v it_o a_o duty_n still_o to_o practise_v the_o same_o upon_o their_o own_o infant_n be_v faithful_a to_o their_o principle_n and_o then_o how_o can_v a_o church_n and_o true_a ministry_n that_o judge_n dip_v of_o believer_n a_o duty_n and_o the_o other_o to_o be_v a_o grievous_a and_o provoke_a sin_n admit_v such_o a_o person_n into_o communion_n that_o resolve_v to_o live_v not_o only_o in_o the_o neglect_n of_o a_o solemn_a duty_n but_o in_o a_o great_a and_o heinous_a sin_n in_o the_o judgement_n of_o that_o church_n and_o ministry_n that_o be_v to_o admit_v he_o which_o the_o justify_n of_o his_o baptism_n must_v needs_o be_v wherefore_o have_v christ_n set_v up_o in_o his_o gospel_n church_n his_o ordinance_n of_o excommunication_n or_o cast_v forth_o out_o of_o the_o church_n if_o that_o person_n may_v be_v admit_v that_o be_v resolve_v to_o live_v in_o both_o a_o sin_n of_o omission_n and_o commission_n and_o such_o as_o have_v not_o repent_v of_o that_o sin_n of_o sprinkle_v child_n so_o then_o that_o person_n that_o live_v impenitent_o in_o any_o one_o know_a sin_n know_v i_o mean_v to_o the_o church_n if_o that_o church_n have_v communion_n with_o that_o person_n in_o that_o sin_n the_o sin_n become_v the_o church_n sin_n obj._n but_o he_o live_v in_o this_o sin_n through_o ignorance_n answ_n that_o we_o presuppose_v or_o else_o the_o scripture_n will_v â—end_n we_o little_a hope_n of_o charity_n as_o to_o his_o good_a estate_n for_o to_o knnow_v a_o sin_n to_o be_v a_o sin_n and_o to_o live_v in_o it_o doubtless_o it_o can_v stand_v with_o grace_n therefore_o it_o be_v general_o conclude_v that_o the_o contempt_n of_o any_o ordinance_n of_o god_n be_v damnable_a but_o not_o the_o simple_a neglect_n of_o it_o be_v upon_o scruple_n or_o doubt_n of_o conscience_n unanswered_a but_o the_o church_n know_v it_o to_o be_v a_o sin_n and_o therefore_o they_o be_v not_o to_o have_v communion_n with_o it_o object_n but_o may_v some_o say_v i_o be_o afraid_a some_o person_n do_v rest_n in_o ordinance_n and_o place_n that_o in_o they_o which_o be_v due_a to_o christ_n only_o which_o be_v some_o offence_n to_o i_o and_o have_v keep_v i_o off_o from_o that_o practice_n answ_n there_o be_v no_o sound_a ground_n for_o this_o objection_n from_o either_o our_o profession_n or_o practice_n for_o we_o do_v profess_v salvation_n justification_n and_o the_o spiritual_a welfare_n to_o be_v mere_o of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n and_o that_o by_o faith_n only_o and_o that_o our_o obedience_n to_o christ_n ought_v to_o be_v perform_v from_o a_o principle_n of_o regeneration_n and_o union_n with_o christ_n by_o faith_n and_o answerable_a be_v our_o practice_n in_o that_o we_o dare_v not_o put_v any_o soul_n on_o obedience_n but_o from_o that_o root_n for_o before_o we_o baptize_v any_o soul_n we_o prove_v whether_o a_o true_a work_n of_o conversion_n be_v wrought_v in_o his_o heart_n or_o no_o and_o whether_o he_o have_v
