sweet_a poison_n that_o though_o it_o be_v sweet_a to_o the_o flesh_n yet_o it_o kill_v the_o soul_n do_v not_o the_o scripture_n say_v the_o soul_n that_o sin_v shall_v die_v and_o the_o wage_n of_o sin_n be_v death_n and_o as_o every_o sin_n do_v in_o some_o measure_n kill_v the_o soul_n so_o great_a sin_n such_o as_o murder_n and_o adultery_n than_o which_o we_o can_v hardly_o suppose_v any_o number_n of_o member_n it_o be_v no_o great_a difficulty_n to_o be_v a_o member_n of_o that_o church_n when_o a_o murderer_n a_o adulterer_n can_v be_v a_o member_n of_o it_o be_v this_o your_o pretence_n to_o reformation_n and_o why_o you_o estimate_v your_o church_n more_o holy_a than_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n but_o be_v not_o your_o church_n and_o doctrine_n in_o this_o respect_n much_o more_o unholy_a for_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n say_v all_o gross_a or_o great_a sin_n as_o fornication_n adultery_n murder_n and_o the_o like_a be_v real_o mortal_a sin_n in_o all_o that_o to_o hear_v other_o tell_v of_o he_o as_o one_o well_o say_v it_o be_v little_a to_o see_v christ_n in_o a_o book_n but_o to_o see_v he_o and_o hear_v he_o and_o feel_v his_o most_o lovely_a embrace_n as_o his_o child_n have_v witness_v that_o be_v very_o precious_a it_o be_v not_o the_o report_n or_o discourse_n of_o bread_n however_o so_o true_a and_o large_a that_o can_v satisfy_v a_o hungry_a man_n or_o the_o report_n of_o good_a drink_n that_o can_v satisfy_v a_o thirsty_a man_n but_o to_o taste_v and_o eat_v of_o bread_n that_o only_o satisfy_v he_o that_o be_v hungry_a and_o to_o taste_v and_o drink_v of_o water_n beer_n wine_n or_o any_o other_o refresh_a liquor_n only_o satisfy_v the_o thirsty_a man_n and_o so_o to_o eat_v of_o christ_n and_o feed_v upon_o he_o who_o be_v the_o soul_n be_v proper_a food_n and_o nourishment_n do_v and_o only_o can_v satisfy_v and_o content_v the_o hungry_a soul_n as_o christ_n say_v john_n 6.57_o he_o that_o eat_v i_o shall_v live_v forth_o the_o westminster_n confession_n of_o faith_n be_v a_o assembly_n make_v up_o of_o presbyterian_a and_o independent_a teacher_n meet_v at_o westminster_n about_o forty_o year_n ago_o see_v illumination_n the_o thing_n be_v one_o though_o the_o name_n be_v distinct_a as_o oft_o the_o same_o thing_n be_v express_v by_o variety_n of_o name_n and_o the_o place_n of_o scripture_n they_o bring_v to_o prove_v the_o necessity_n of_o the_o inward_a illumination_n of_o the_o spirit_n do_v prove_v the_o inward_a revelation_n of_o the_o spirit_n both_o which_o be_v one_o as_o john_n 6.45_o
