will_v be_v understand_v in_o all_o the_o act_n of_o his_o grace_n towards_o we_o now_o that_o there_o may_v be_v in_o we_o a_o sense_n of_o reception_n of_o so_o great_a a_o benefit_n god_n resolve_v to_o put_v it_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o faith_n which_o have_v a_o natural_a sutableness_n in_o it_o and_o fitness_n to_o receive_v what_o free_a grace_n tender_v to_o it_o and_o so_o it_o do_v be_v very_o good_a evidence_n of_o our_o justification_n for_o it_o be_v in_o that_o reflection_n only_o that_o they_o do_v give_v evidence_n of_o themselves_o and_o of_o any_o thing_n produce_v from_o they_o therefore_o i_o say_v as_o they_o be_v reflect_v upon_o they_o have_v retrospection_n to_o our_o justification_n of_o which_o they_o be_v very_o good_a and_o evident_a proof_n but_o they_o have_v no_o antecedent_n causality_n to_o produce_v the_o thing_n signify_v because_o they_o signify_v it_o as_o a_o thing_n already_o do_v past_a and_o perfect_a 3._o and_o last_o justification_n be_v frequent_o set_v down_o in_o scripture_n without_o any_o relation_n to_o these_o act_n of_o grace_n in_o we_o to_o show_v that_o it_o whole_o flow_v from_o christ_n and_o that_o by_o our_o believe_v we_o add_v nothing_o to_o our_o justify_v righteousness_n but_o do_v only_o apply_v it_o as_o whole_o derive_v from_o christ_n alone_o 1_o joh._n 5._o 12._o he_o that_o have_v nothing_o can_v be_v hear_v the_o sound_n of_o word_n must_v reach_v the_o ear_n before_o the_o sense_n of_o those_o word_n can_v enter_v into_o the_o understanding_n this_o historical_a knowledge_n do_v not_o lie_v in_o learn_v the_o scripture_n by_o rote_n without_o any_o rational_a knowledge_n of_o the_o litteral_n sense_n and_o mean_v of_o those_o proposition_n of_o truth_n that_o be_v contain_v therein_o this_o will_v be_v only_a memory_n without_o any_o understanding_n a_o natural_a man_n do_v not_o disbelieve_v the_o scripture_n because_o he_o have_v not_o a_o rational_a conception_n of_o the_o common_a notion_n of_o thing_n speak_v of_o there_o but_o because_o he_o have_v and_o find_v they_o so_o uncouth_a so_o seem_o contrary_a to_o humane_a reason_n he_o reject_v into_o our_o heart_n thus_o faith_n come_v by_o hear_v quest._n how_o shall_v hear_v of_o thing_n above_o our_o reason_n contribute_v any_o thing_n to_o our_o believe_v they_o one_o will_v think_v the_o often_o we_o hear_v they_o the_o more_o absurd_a we_o shall_v count_v they_o to_o be_v and_o reject_v they_o with_o great_a indignation_n have_v so_o often_o try_v they_o by_o the_o touchstone_n with_o god_n in_o hear_v his_o word_n there_o be_v some_o co-incidence_a in_o the_o particular_n abovementioned_a yet_o not_o without_o some_o distinction_n which_o i_o leave_v to_o your_o own_o observation_n the_o less_o of_o art_n or_o method_n there_o be_v in_o handle_v experimental_a point_n the_o better_a they_o come_v with_o most_o power_n to_o the_o conscience_n in_o their_o own_o
