nor_o can_v it_o be_v so_o see_v it_o virtual_o and_o radical_o contain_v all_o of_o they_o in_o itself_o however_o therefore_o evangelical_n repentance_n be_v not_o the_o condition_n of_o our_o justification_n so_o as_o to_o have_v any_o direct_a influence_n thereinto_o nor_o be_v we_o say_v any_o where_o to_o be_v justify_v by_o repentance_n nor_o be_v it_o conversant_a about_o the_o proper_a object_n which_o alone_o the_o soul_n respect_v therein_o nor_o be_v a_o direct_a and_o immediate_a give_v glory_n unto_o god_n on_o the_o account_n of_o the_o way_n and_o work_v of_o his_o wisdom_n and_o grace_n in_o christ_n jesus_n but_o a_o consequent_a thereof_o nor_o be_v that_o reception_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v express_o require_v unto_o our_o justification_n and_o which_o alone_o be_v require_v thereunto_o yet_o be_v it_o in_o the_o root_n principle_n and_o promptitude_n of_o mind_n for_o its_o exercise_n in_o every_o one_o that_o be_v justify_v then_o when_o he_o be_v justify_v and_o it_o be_v peculiar_o propose_v with_o respect_n unto_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n as_o that_o without_o which_o it_o be_v impossible_a we_o shall_v have_v any_o true_a sense_n or_o comfort_n of_o it_o in_o our_o soul_n but_o it_o be_v not_o so_o as_o any_o part_n of_o that_o righteousness_n on_o the_o consideration_n whereof_o our_o sin_n be_v pardon_v nor_o as_o that_o whereby_o we_o have_v a_o interest_n therein_o these_o thing_n be_v plain_a in_o the_o divine_a method_n of_o our_o justification_n and_o the_o order_n of_o our_o duty_n prescribe_v in_o the_o gospel_n as_o also_o in_o the_o experience_n of_o they_o that_o do_v believe_v wherefore_o consider_v the_o necessity_n of_o legal_a repentance_n unto_o believe_v with_o the_o sanctification_n of_o the_o affection_n exercise_v therein_o by_o faith_n whereby_o they_o be_v make_v evangelical_n and_o the_o nature_n of_o faith_n as_o include_v in_o it_o a_o principle_n of_o universal_a conversion_n unto_o god_n and_o in_o especial_a of_o that_o repentance_n which_o have_v for_o its_o principal_a motive_n the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o of_o jesus_n christ_n with_o the_o grace_n from_o thence_o communicate_v all_o which_o be_v suppose_v in_o the_o doctrine_n plead_v for_o the_o necessity_n of_o true_a repentance_n be_v immovable_o fix_v on_o its_o proper_a foundation_n 3._o as_o unto_o what_o be_v say_v in_o the_o objection_n concern_v christ_n suffering_n in_o the_o person_n of_o the_o elect_n i_o know_v not_o whether_o any_o have_v use_v it_o or_o no_o nor_o will_v i_o contend_v about_o it_o he_o suffer_v in_o their_o stead_n which_o all_o sort_n of_o writer_n ancient_a and_o modern_a so_o express_v in_o his_o suffering_n he_o bear_v the_o person_n of_o the_o church_n the_o meaning_n be_v what_o be_v before_o declare_v christ_n and_o believer_n be_v one_o mystical_a person_n one_o spiritual_o animate_v body_n head_n and_o member_n this_o i_o suppose_v will_v not_o be_v deny_v to_o do_v so_o be_v to_o overthrow_v the_o church_n and_o the_o faith_n of_o it_o hence_o what_o he_o do_v and_o suffer_v be_v impute_v unto_o they_o and_o it_o be_v grant_v that_o as_o the_o surety_n of_o the_o covenant_n he_o pay_v all_o our_o debt_n or_o answer_v for_o all_o our_o fault_n and_o that_o his_o righteousness_n be_v real_o communicate_v unto_o we_o why_o then_o say_v some_o there_o be_v no_o need_n of_o repentance_n all_o be_v do_v for_o we_o already_o but_o why_o so_o why_o must_v we_o assent_v to_o one_o part_n of_o the_o gospel_n unto_o the_o exclusion_n of_o another_o be_v it_o not_o free_a unto_o god_n to_o appoint_v what_o way_n method_n and_o order_n he_o will_v whereby_o these_o thing_n shall_v be_v communicate_v unto_o we_o nay_o upon_o the_o supposition_n of_o the_o design_n of_o his_o wisdom_n and_o grace_n these_o two_o thing_n be_v necessary_a 1._o that_o this_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n shall_v be_v communicate_v unto_o we_o and_o be_v make_v we_o in_o such_o a_o way_n and_o manner_n as_o that_o he_o himself_o may_v be_v glorify_v therein_o see_v he_o have_v dispose_v all_o thing_n in_o this_o whole_a oeconomy_n unto_o the_o praise_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o grace_n ephes._n 1.6_o this_o be_v to_o be_v do_v by_o faith_n on_o our_o part_n it_o be_v so_o it_o can_v be_v no_o otherwise_o for_o that_o faith_n whereby_o we_o be_v justify_v be_v our_o give_v unto_o god_n the_o glory_n of_o his_o wisdom_n grace_n and_o love_n and_o whatever_o do_v so_o be_v faith_n and_o nothing_o else_o be_v so_o 2._o that_o whereas_o our_o nature_n be_v so_o corrupt_v and_o deprave_a as_o that_o continue_v in_o that_o state_n it_o be_v not_o capable_a of_o a_o participation_n of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n or_o any_o benefit_n of_o it_o unto_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o our_o own_o good_a it_o be_v in_o like_a manner_n necessary_a that_o it_o shall_v be_v renew_v and_o change_v and_o unless_o it_o be_v so_o the_o design_n of_o god_n in_o the_o mediation_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v the_o entire_a recovery_n of_o we_o unto_o himself_o can_v not_o be_v attain_v and_o therefore_o as_o faith_n under_o the_o formal_a consideration_n of_o it_o be_v necessary_a unto_o the_o first_o end_n namely_o that_o of_o give_v glory_n unto_o god_n so_o unto_o this_o latter_a end_n it_o be_v necessary_a that_o this_o faith_n shall_v be_v accompany_v with_o yea_o and_o contain_v in_o itself_o the_o seed_n of_o all_o those_o other_o grace_n wherein_o the_o divine_a nature_n do_v consist_v whereof_o we_o be_v to_o be_v make_v partaker_n not_o only_o therefore_o the_o thing_n itself_o or_o the_o communication_n of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n unto_o we_o but_o the_o way_n and_o manner_n and_o mean_n of_o it_o do_v depend_v on_o god_n sovereign_a order_n and_o disposal_n wherefore_o although_o christ_n do_v make_v satisfaction_n unto_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n for_o all_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o mean_n and_o order_n design_v of_o god_n unto_o that_o end_n this_o and_o this_o alone_a give_v the_o true_a necessity_n of_o all_o the_o duty_n which_o be_v require_v of_o we_o with_o their_o order_n and_o their_o end_n 3_o lie_v it_o be_v object_v that_o the_o imputation_n of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n which_o we_o defend_v overthrow_v the_o necessity_n of_o faith_n itself_o this_o be_v home_o indeed_o aliquid_fw-la adhaerebit_fw-la be_v the_o design_n of_o all_o these_o objection_n but_o they_o have_v reason_n to_o plead_v for_o themselves_o who_o make_v it_o for_o on_o this_o supposition_n they_o say_v the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n be_v we_o before_o we_o do_v believe_v for_o christ_n satisfy_v for_o all_o our_o sin_n as_o if_o we_o have_v satisfy_v in_o our_o own_o person_n and_o he_o who_o be_v esteem_v to_o have_v satisfy_v for_o all_o his_o sin_n in_o his_o own_o person_n be_v acquit_v from_o they_o all_o and_o account_v just_a whether_o he_o believe_v or_o no_o nor_o be_v there_o any_o ground_n or_o reason_n why_o he_o shall_v be_v require_v to_o believe_v if_o therefore_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n be_v real_o we_o because_o in_o the_o
