better_o expedient_a than_o to_o reason_v a_o while_n upon_o that_o important_a argument_n suggest_v in_o the_o text._n who_o can_v think_v upon_o the_o conflagration_n of_o our_o late_a glorious_a city_n and_o not_o call_v to_o mind_v the_o great_a and_o terrible_a day_n of_o judgement_n who_o can_v think_v serious_o of_o judgement_n and_o not_o be_v compel_v to_o come_v in_o drive_v to_o christianity_n that_o he_o may_v be_v save_v from_o the_o wrath_n to_o come_v the_o great_a instructor_n and_o example_n of_o christian_a preacher_n he_o who_o say_v of_o himself_o that_o christ_n send_v he_o to_o preach_v and_o not_o to_o baptize_v find_v no_o mean_n so_o powerful_a to_o persuade_v man_n to_o christianity_n as_o to_o reason_n upon_o this_o argument_n as_o first_o to_o lay_v before_o they_o the_o terror_n of_o judgement_n and_o then_o whilst_o that_o be_v warm_a upon_o their_o heart_n to_o make_v they_o a_o tender_a of_o the_o gospel_n this_o be_v the_o great_a advantage_n and_o use_v the_o apostle_n make_v of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o text._n we_o must_v all_o appear_v say_v he_o before_o the_o judgment-seat_n of_o christ_n know_v therefore_o the_o terror_n of_o the_o lord_n we_o persuade_v man_n upon_o these_o consideration_n i_o shall_v hope_v for_o the_o pardon_n of_o this_o noble_a auditory_a if_o without_o affectation_n of_o science_n i_o shall_v in_o a_o practical_a and_o familiar_a way_n of_o reason_a endeavour_n to_o imitate_v our_o apostle_n in_o this_o particular_a if_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n it_o will_v be_v irksome_a and_o forget_v the_o import_n and_o moment_n of_o the_o judgement_n we_o shall_v come_v again_o to_o hear_v the_o name_n thereof_o and_o to_o neglect_v it_o as_o a_o idle_a noise_n and_o empty_a sound_n let_v we_o therefore_o not_o neglect_v this_o opportunity_n let_v we_o search_v ourselves_o to_o the_o bottom_n let_v we_o make_v a_o discovery_n of_o our_o final_a resolution_n and_o secret_a
