they_o see_v fit_a and_o as_o for_o other_o minister_n they_o may_v free_o exercise_v their_o ministry_n without_o liturgy_n or_o ceremony_n and_o may_v exercise_v discipline_n towards_o their_o rerespective_a member_n according_a to_o christ_n direction_n in_o the_o case_n the_o question_n now_o arise_v can_v be_v only_o this_o whether_o it_o will_v be_v lawful_a for_o a_o member_n of_o that_o congregation_n where_o the_o liturgy_n and_o ceremony_n be_v in_o use_n and_o discipline_n neglect_v that_o conceive_v these_o thing_n to_o be_v corruption_n to_o separate_v and_o join_v with_o lawful_a i_o grant_v it_o but_o yet_o it_o follow_v not_o that_o therefore_o i_o may_v join_v with_o they_o if_o i_o can_v otherways_o help_v it_o a_o man_n may_v buy_v and_o sell_v and_o eat_v and_o drink_v with_o fornicator_n or_o other_o unclean_a and_o debauch_a creature_n if_o he_o can_v trade_v and_o get_v provision_n for_o his_o body_n but_o in_o their_o company_n but_o certain_o if_o a_o answer_v to_o your_o dilemma_n either_o you_o say_v these_o thing_n thus_o impose_v be_v in_o themselves_o lawful_a or_o unlawful_a i_o answer_v your_o argument_n as_o you_o form_n it_o be_v trivial_a and_o not_o to_o the_o purpose_n for_o it_o speak_v not_o to_o the_o question_n under_o consideration_n for_o the_o question_n be_v not_o about_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o thing_n impose_v take_v absolute_o but_o about_o the_o religious_a use_n of_o those_o thing_n in_o the_o worship_n and_o service_n of_o god_n thus_o then_o your_o argument_n ought_v to_o proceed_v either_o the_o religious_a use_n of_o these_o thing_n impose_v in_o the_o worship_n and_o service_n of_o god_n be_v lawful_a or_o unlawful_a i_o answer_v now_o direct_o the_o religious_a use_n of_o they_o be_v unlawful_a and_o this_o antecedent_o to_o the_o impose_v of_o they_o and_o therefore_o the_o impose_v of_o they_o can_v make_v they_o lawful_a here_o have_v be_v a_o fit_a place_n for_o you_o to_o have_v show_v your_o strength_n if_o you_o have_v any_o in_o convince_v we_o that_o the_o religious_a use_n of_o these_o thing_n in_o god_n worship_n be_v lawful_a antecedent_o to_o the_o imposition_n but_o we_o have_v shall_v treat_v he_o in_o that_o manner_n and_o instead_o of_o obey_v his_o order_n and_o cause_v other_o to_o dispatch_v they_o fall_v a_o philosophise_n in_o his_o house_n and_o give_v his_o dictate_v to_o the_o mean_a capacity_n that_o such_o undertake_v spirit_n merit_v not_o so_o much_o as_o to_o be_v hear_v especial_o where_o god_n be_v concern_v in_o comparison_n of_o who_o they_o with_o all_o their_o sufficiency_n be_v but_o poor_a worm_n of_o the_o earth_n hold_v we_o firm_a therefore_o this_o foundation_n of_o the_o apostle_n that_o the_o tradition_n of_o man_n ought_v to_o have_v no_o place_n in_o religion_n it_o concern_v i_o not_o to_o inform_v myself_o of_o their_o age_n whether_o they_o be_v the_o tradition_n of_o man_n ancient_a or_o modern_a it_o suffice_v that_o i_o know_v they_o be_v tradition_n of_o man_n have_v the_o apostle_n advertisement_n we_o shall_v not_o be_v move_v with_o any_o reason_n or_o splendour_n or_o antiquity_n they_o may_v come_v clothe_v with_o if_o you_o will_v have_v i_o receive_v they_o show_v i_o that_o they_o be_v prescription_n of_o god_n institution_n of_o his_o christ_n doctrine_n of_o his_o scripture_n without_o this_o however_o specious_a you_o make_v they_o appear_v to_o i_o i_o shall_v never_o believe_v it_o it_o be_v but_o to_o make_v a_o prey_n of_o i_o and_o your_o diligence_n shall_v have_v no_o effect_n circumstance_n convenient_a and_o in_o some_o sort_n natural_o necessary_a to_o the_o act_n of_o worship_n yet_o i_o deny_v that_o ever_o when_o they_o be_v so_o use_v that_o they_o ought_v to_o be_v religious_o use_v a_o thing_n be_v then_o religious_o use_v not_o bare_o when_o i_o use_v it_o in_o worship_n for_o so_o i_o use_v my_o cloak_n and_o band_n in_o worship_n which_o yet_o i_o use_v not_o religious_o but_o to_o use_v a_o thing_n in_o worship_n religious_o be_v when_o i_o use_v it_o for_o religious_a end_n as_o to_o the_o please_a of_o god_n and_o the_o edify_n of_o myself_o and_o other_o in_o religious_a matter_n now_o when_o we_o meet_v in_o a_o church_n or_o stand_v in_o a_o pulpit_n or_o cat_n the_o lord_n supper_n on_o the_o table_n we_o do_v not_o think_v that_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n in_o those_o place_n that_o render_v we_o or_o our_o worship_n any_o whit_n the_o more_o please_v to_o god_n for_o if_o we_o meet_v on_o a_o mountain_n or_o on_o a_o sea_n shore_n
