job_n not_o only_o by_o himself_o in_o cast_v the_o house_n upon_o his_o child_n but_o also_o by_o his_o vile_a instrument_n the_o sabean_o and_o chaldaean_n who_o he_o set_v a_o work_n to_o rob_v and_o spoil_v he_o and_o after_o by_o his_o mistake_a friend_n so_o though_o we_o read_v not_o that_o the_o devil_n do_v tempt_v christ_n all_o his_o life_n time_n after_o this_o by_o himself_o yet_o do_v he_o it_o by_o his_o instrument_n as_o the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n the_o cruel_a jew_n yea_o by_o herod_n pontius_n pilate_n annas_n and_o caiphas_n and_o the_o rest_n he_o never_o cease_v tempt_v of_o he_o after_o this_o and_o these_o temptation_n by_o his_o vileâ—_n instrument_n be_v very_o great_a and_o grievous_a unto_o his_o sacred_a soul_n see_v the_o devil_n take_v this_o course_n to_o tempt_v christ_n and_o then_o to_o depart_v for_o a_o while_n and_o after_o to_o return_v again_o we_o may_v see_v what_o be_v the_o estate_n of_o god_n church_n in_o this_o world_n namely_o that_o the_o church_n of_o god_n upon_o earth_n be_v in_o a_o continual_a intercourse_n of_o affliction_n now_o afflict_v after_o the_o lord_n give_v it_o peace_n for_o a_o time_n and_o then_o the_o lord_n send_v affliction_n again_o and_o as_o winter_n follow_v summer_n so_o do_v joy_n affliction_n this_o be_v the_o estate_n of_o the_o church_n of_o god_n upon_o earth_n a_o continual_a intercourse_n of_o affliction_n we_o must_v then_o learn_v what_o be_v our_o own_o particular_a estate_n while_o we_o live_v in_o the_o church_n namely_o a_o state_n that_o be_v in_o a_o continual_a intercourse_n of_o trouble_n and_o affliction_n if_o we_o now_o enjoy_v peace_n and_o rest_n we_o must_v make_v account_v it_o can_v always_o endure_v but_o there_o must_v come_v a_o change_n and_o therefore_o we_o must_v beware_v in_o time_n of_o peace_n to_o prepare_v ourselves_o against_o the_o time_n of_o affliction_n and_o of_o trial_n and_o persuade_v ourselves_o the_o sun_n will_v not_o always_o shine_v but_o this_o state_n will_v change_v and_o trial_n will_v come_v it_o follow_v and_o behold_v the_o angel_n come_v and_o minister_v unto_o he_o here_o be_v now_o the_o second_o part_n of_o the_o victory_n when_o as_o our_o saviour_n christ_n have_v foil_v the_o devil_n and_o put_v he_o to_o flight_n than_o the_o angel_n come_v and_o minister_v unto_o he_o to_o comfort_v he_o after_o this_o tedious_a combat_n behold_v this_o word_n be_v a_o word_n of_o wonder_n and_o it_o show_v there_o be_v some_o matter_n of_o moment_n that_o follow_v and_o what_o be_v that_o the_o wonder_n be_v that_o that_o person_n who_o the_o devil_n despise_v and_o will_v have_v tread_v under_o his_o foot_n even_o this_o person_n be_v here_o attend_v upon_o by_o the_o good_a angel_n of_o god_n who_o be_v ready_a to_o offer_v he_o their_o service_n and_o come_v to_o comfort_v he_o in_o this_o ministry_n of_o these_o angel_n consider_v first_o the_o bond_n which_o cause_v they_o to_o attend_v on_o christ_n second_o the_o number_n how_o many_o they_o be_v three_o the_o time_n when_o they_o come_v to_o he_o first_o the_o bond_n which_o make_v these_o glorious_a angel_n and_o heavenly_a spirit_n to_o attend_v and_o wait_v upon_o our_o saviour_n christ_n be_v this_o that_o the_o man_n christ_n not_o the_o manhood_n of_o christ_n but_o christ_n god_n and_o man_n be_v lord_n of_o all_o creature_n even_o of_o the_o angel_n in_o heaven_n and_o the_o manhood_n of_o christ_n though_o it_o be_v not_o lord_n of_o angel_n yet_o it_o be_v far_o more_o excellent_a than_o any_o creature_n whatsoever_o yea_o then_o the_o bless_a angel_n and_o here_o we_o may_v behold_v the_o great_a goodness_n of_o god_n who_o have_v exalt_v man_n nature_n which_o be_v most_o vile_a sometime_o conceal_v his_o favour_n and_o not_o â—hew_v his_o accustom_a mercy_n to_o his_o child_n 〈◊〉_d lest_o the_o comfortable_a sense_n and_o feel_n of_o 〈◊〉_d for_o a_o time_n to_o try_v his_o child_n as_o here_o the_o lord_n with_o hold_v for_o a_o time_n the_o comfort_n of_o his_o angel_n from_o our_o saviour_n christ_n yet_o after_o in_o be_v great_a need_n send_v they_o to_o comfort_v he_o â—o_o the_o lord_n deal_v with_o his_o child_n even_o 〈◊〉_d a_o nurse_n deal_v with_o her_o child_n set_v it_o â—owne_n and_o go_v and_o hide_v herself_o for_o 〈◊〉_d time_n let_v it_o sit_v still_o so_o as_o the_o child_n take_v a_o knock_n and_o it_o may_v be_v hurt_v itself_o so_o as_o it_o bleed_v again_o now_o all_o this_o she_o do_v not_o because_o she_o love_v not_o her_o child_n 〈◊〉_d that_o when_o she_o take_v up_o her_o child_n again_o into_o her_o arm_n it_o may_v love_v she_o better_o and_o cling_v fast_o unto_o she_o even_o so_o deal_v the_o lord_n with_o his_o child_n he_o often_o withdraw_v the_o comfortable_a feel_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o do_v as_o it_o be_v hide_v himself_o for_o a_o time_n that_o so_o we_o may_v the_o better_a 〈◊〉_d what_o we_o be_v without_o his_o mercy_n and_o make_v more_o account_n of_o it_o when_o the_o loâ—â—_n do_v give_v we_o the_o feel_n of_o it_o again_o and_o 〈◊〉_d we_o may_v love_v he_o ever_o after_o more_o earne_a and_o more_o constant_o to_o conclude_v most_o man_n will_v say_v there_o 〈◊〉_d no_o need_n of_o this_o doctrine_n of_o temptation_n 〈◊〉_d they_o never_o feel_v any_o such_o matter_n nor_o be_v 〈◊〉_d acquaint_v with_o they_o nay_o they_o hope_v thâ—_n say_v never_o to_o feel_v any_o such_o temptation_n 〈◊〉_d they_o thank_v god_n that_o they_o never_o know_v 〈◊〉_d temptation_n mean_v indeed_o be_v 〈◊〉_d joy_n and_o we_o have_v just_a cause_n of_o reioyciâ—_n when_o we_o be_v tempt_v especial_o if_o we_o 〈◊〉_d able_a by_o the_o power_n of_o christ_n to_o resist_v 〈◊〉_d temptation_n as_o
