hope_v the_o scope_n and_o meaning_n of_o the_o place_n which_o the_o contrary_a exposition_n have_v fail_v to_o do_v but_o have_v also_o do_v it_o without_o any_o the_o least_o derogation_n from_o or_o impeachment_n to_o the_o excellent_a nature_n and_o most_o glorious_a attribute_n of_o the_o almighty_a god_n as_o his_o mercy_n justice_n sincerity_n love_n grace_n and_o goodness_n all_o which_o the_o contrary_a exposition_n and_o opinion_n do_v direct_o fight_v against_o for_o there_o be_v a_o inseparable_a unity_n between_o the_o attribute_n of_o god_n which_o man_n not_o consider_v have_v the_o testimony_n and_o honour_n of_o god_n alone_o the_o world_n be_v never_o unfurnished_v of_o man_n possess_v with_o this_o antichristian_a spirit_n that_o have_v conclude_v certain_a principle_n and_o prescript_n form_n will_v subject_n all_o other_o man_n judgement_n conscience_n and_o practice_n thereunto_o upon_o the_o great_a penalty_n without_o further_a trial_n or_o though_o that_o scripture_n or_o promise_n be_v make_v they_o as_o they_o conceive_v and_o they_o do_v believe_v it_o as_o they_o say_v and_o comfort_v themselves_o in_o it_o that_o god_n love_v they_o and_o that_o they_o shall_v certain_o live_v yet_o can_v they_o give_v no_o ground_n or_o reason_n from_o their_o principle_n why_o that_o scripture_n or_o promise_n belong_v to_o they_o much_o less_o that_o it_o shall_v more_o belong_v to_o they_o then_o to_o other_o only_o they_o say_v that_o god_n persuade_v their_o heart_n but_o if_o he_o persuade_v they_o he_o persuade_v their_o understanding_n and_o judgement_n by_o some_o evident_a and_o rational_a demonstration_n or_o conclusion_n from_o the_o scripture_n or_o promise_v so_o believe_v and_o if_o not_o than_o the_o thing_n they_o speak_v of_o be_v but_o please_a fancy_n and_o golden_a dream_n again_o from_o this_o doctrine_n of_o limit_v the_o love_n of_o god_n to_o a_o few_o the_o love_n of_o the_o most_o religious_a man_n of_o our_o time_n be_v also_o limit_v to_o a_o few_o to_o love_v those_o that_o love_v they_o to_o do_v good_a to_o those_o that_o do_v good_a to_o they_o to_o salute_v their_o brethren_n only_o whereas_o christ_n tell_v they_o plain_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o singular_a in_o it_o they_o do_v no_o more_o than_o other_o than_o sinner_n than_o publican_n whereas_o if_o god_n indeed_o be_v the_o pattern_n of_o their_o love_n their_o love_n will_v be_v universal_a like_o the_o love_n of_o god_n love_n be_v a_o debt_n due_a to_o all_o man_n and_o we_o shall_v never_o be_v free_v from_o that_o debt_n in_o this_o world_n rom._n 13.8_o it_o appear_v by_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n luk._n 10.30_o that_o every_o man_n we_o see_v in_o misery_n or_o in_o need_n of_o our_o help_n and_o relief_n be_v our_o neighbour_n and_o we_o must_v love_v our_o neighbour_n as_o ourselves_o in_o deed_n and_o in_o truth_n without_o dissimulation_n so_o that_o we_o ought_v to_o love_v all_o man_n the_o evil_a and_o unthankful_a our_o enemy_n those_o that_o hate_n curse_n and_o persecute_v we_o and_o nothing_o can_v beget_v such_o a_o spirit_n in_o we_o but_o the_o spirit_n of_o this_o doctrine_n of_o the_o free_a and_o universal_a love_n of_o god_n to_o we_o when_o we_o be_v enemy_n sinful_a lose_a creature_n evil_a and_o unthankful_a as_o god_n by_o the_o discovery_n of_o his_o judgement_n and_o opinion_n make_v they_o to_o be_v despise_v and_o hate_v yea_o many_o man_n despise_v religion_n itself_o see_v these_o thing_n do_v appear_v in_o those_o which_o profess_v themselves_o to_o be_v most_o religious_a though_o indeed_o religigion_n teach_v no_o such_o thing_n but_o the_o contrary_a as_o the_o scripture_n plain_o manifest_a the_o substance_n of_o religion_n be_v almost_o lose_v and_o there_o be_v little_a else_o then_o the_o show_n or_o name_n of_o it_o remain_v unless_o religion_n be_v a_o rigid_a man_n a_o practice_n not_o suitable_a to_o the_o gospel_n of_o grace_n and_o love_n but_o to_o policy_n and_o sensuality_n not_o come_v from_o above_o but_o from_o beneath_o whether_o it_o tend_v and_o be_v therefore_o to_o be_v shun_v and_o abhor_v of_o all_o man_n blind_a and_o preposterous_a zeal_n in_o seek_v dominion_n over_o the_o faith_n of_o our_o brethren_n and_o fellow-servant_n and_o by_o humane_a and_o positive_a law_n inhumane_o
