prophet_n say_v that_o those_o who_o labour_v inconsiderate_o shall_v never_o be_v satisfy_v for_o if_o they_o forsake_v god_n to_o seek_v out_o new_a mean_n of_o salvation_n they_o shall_v never_o be_v fill_v because_o as_o hosea_n say_v they_o be_v feed_v with_o wind_n chap._n 12.1_o they_o may_v well_o seem_v to_o be_v full_a while_o a_o vain_a conceit_n blinfold_v they_o but_o they_o shall_v but_o a_o renew_v and_o a_o confirmation_n of_o the_o covenant_n to_o the_o end_n the_o jew_n shall_v not_o think_v that_o god_n promise_n be_v abolish_v though_o they_o see_v themselves_o so_o long_o banish_v for_o whilst_o they_o be_v drive_v out_o of_o that_o country_n which_o be_v promise_v and_o give_v they_o be_v without_o the_o temple_n and_o without_o the_o sacrifice_n and_o have_v no_o mark_n at_o all_o left_a but_o the_o covenant_n of_o circumcision_n who_o will_v not_o have_v think_v but_o that_o god_n have_v utter_o shake_v they_o off_o isaiah_n then_o have_v fit_v this_o phrase_n of_o speech_n as_o you_o see_v to_o the_o capacity_n of_o the_o people_n that_o they_o may_v know_v how_o the_o covenant_n of_o god_n make_v with_o their_o father_n be_v firm_a stable_n and_o eternal_a and_o neither_o mutable_a nor_o temporary_a he_o signify_v the_o same_o thing_n by_o the_o mercy_n of_o david_n but_o by_o this_o clause_n he_o show_v that_o the_o covenant_n be_v free_a because_o it_o have_v its_o foundation_n lay_v in_o nothing_o but_o in_o the_o mere_a goodness_n of_o god_n as_o oft_o then_o as_o we_o mere_a with_o this_o word_n covenant_n in_o the_o scripture_n together_o covenant_n and_o mercy_n must_v always_o be_v match_v together_o we_o must_v therewithal_o call_v to_o mind_v the_o word_n mercy_n or_o grace_n now_o he_o pronounce_v he_o will_v be_v faithful_a therein_o and_o forthwith_o he_o signify_v that_o
hope_n of_o deliverance_n verse_n 11._o we_o roar_v all_o like_a bear_n and_o mourn_v like_o dove_n we_o look_v for_o judgement_n for_o or_o judgement_n equity_n but_o there_o be_v none_o for_o we_o will_v or_o no_o some_o sign_n thereof_o will_v break-forth_a outward_o the_o sum_n be_v that_o one_o while_o the_o weight_n of_o their_o misery_n extort_a from_o they_o loud_o cry_v another_o while_o they_o be_v overcome_v with_o groan_n and_o break_v sigh_n but_o neither_o their_o roar_n nor_o muttering_n bring_v they_o any_o release_n because_o their_o estate_n be_v not_o change_v for_o express_v what_o he_o mean_v before_o in_o vers_fw-la 9_o by_o justice_n and_o here_o conversion_n no_o salvation_n without_o conversion_n by_o judgement_n hence_o let_v we_o gather_v that_o we_o be_v miserable_a through_o our_o own_o fault_n and_o that_o we_o wither_v and_o waste_v away_o in_o our_o misery_n till_o we_o be_v convert_v to_o our_o god_n we_o may_v well_o roar_v and_o mourn_v but_o without_o repentance_n our_o sorrow_n shall_v receive_v no_o relief_n our_o misery_n than_o can_v cease_v as_o long_o as_o we_o provoke_v the_o lord_n to_o anger_n nor_o till_o we_o indevor_n with_o his_o spirit_n then_o be_v our_o condition_n happy_a even_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o infinite_a misery_n neither_o do_v i_o doubt_v but_o it_o be_v the_o express_a purpose_n of_o the_o lord_n to_o ancient_a people_n be_v discern_v from_o the_o new_a for_o as_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n be_v spiritual_a so_o from_o his_o resurrection_n from_o the_o dead_a the_o soul_n of_o the_o faithful_a must_v ascend_v up_o on_o high_a with_o he_o now_o he_o promise_v that_o the_o church_n shall_v never_o be_v deprive_v of_o this_o inestimable_a benefit_n namely_o of_o be_v govern_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o sustain_v by_o the_o heavenly_a doctrine_n for_o it_o be_v to_o little_a purpose_n that_o the_o gospel_n shall_v be_v offer_v we_o and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n give_v withal_o unless_o they_o shall_v always_o dwell_v and_o remain_v with_o us._n servant_n god_n speak_v unto_o we_o but_o by_o the_o mouth_n of_o his_o servant_n when_o he_o say_v in_o thy_o mouth_n it_o be_v to_o show_v that_o the_o lord_n so_o speak_v unto_o we_o that_o in_o the_o mean_a while_o he_o mean_v to_o use_v the_o service_n and_o ministry_n of_o man_n he_o may_v indeed_o if_o it_o please_v he_o speak_v shall_v not_o depart_v some_o translate_v in_o the_o imperative_fw-it let_v not_o my_o word_n depart_v and_o so_o the_o future_a tense_n be_v often_o take_v for_o this_o but_o a_o exhortation_n or_o a_o commandment_n in_o this_o place_n agree_v not_o in_o regard_n the_o prophet_n rather_o promise_v what_o god_n mean_v to_o accomplish_v i_o deny_v not_o but_o hence_o we_o may_v draw_v a_o
