the_o hypocrite_n strive_v as_o much_o to_o appear_v what_o he_o be_v not_o as_o not_o to_o appear_v what_o he_o be_v he_o make_v a_o semblance_n of_o that_o purity_n which_o he_o love_v not_o and_o he_o dissemble_v that_o impurity_n which_o he_o love_v and_o life_n in_o second_o we_o may_v consider_v hypocrite_n under_o this_o distinction_n first_o there_o be_v a_o simple_a hypocrite_n who_o have_v not_o the_o good_a which_o he_o think_v and_o believe_v he_o have_v thus_o every_o one_o that_o profess_v or_o name_v the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o be_v not_o real_o convert_v be_v a_o hypocrite_n because_o he_o have_v not_o that_o which_o he_o seem_v to_o have_v yea_o which_o possible_o he_o very_o believe_v he_o have_v i_o may_v call_v such_o a_o one_o though_o it_o may_v seem_v a_o very_a strange_a expression_n a_o sincere_a hypocrite_n he_o do_v not_o intend_v to_o deceive_v other_o but_o be_v deceive_v himself_o because_o he_o have_v not_o the_o root_n of_o the_o matter_n in_o he_o nor_o the_o power_n of_o godliness_n though_o he_o bring_v forth_o some_o seem_a fruit_n of_o godliness_n and_o be_v much_o in_o the_o form_n of_o it_o such_o we_o may_v conceive_v shadow_v hypocrite_n which_o i_o intend_v in_o this_o point_n or_o have_v here_o to_o do_v with_o there_o be_v a_o second_o sort_n of_o hypocrite_n common_o call_v gross_a hypocrite_n such_o as_o hold_v that_o out_o which_o they_o know_v they_o have_v not_o such_o as_o know_v they_o have_v nothing_o in_o or_o of_o religion_n but_o the_o show_n of_o it_o such_o as_o work_v by_o art_n or_o with_o a_o kind_n of_o force_n upon_o themselves_o in_o all_o the_o good_a they_o do_v and_o duty_n they_o perform_v towards_o god_n and_o about_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n they_o do_v nothing_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v timothy_n do_v phil._n 2.20_o natural_o i_o have_v no_o man_n likeminded_a who_o will_v natural_o care_v for_o your_o state_n the_o word_n natural_o be_v not_o there_o oppose_v to_o spiritual_o but_o to_o artificial_o or_o to_o force_o what_o a_o sincere_a heart_n do_v in_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n he_o do_v it_o natural_o that_o be_v it_o flow_v from_o a_o inward_a principle_n it_o be_v not_o force_v from_o he_o but_o the_o hypocrite_n do_v all_o as_o it_o be_v by_o a_o kind_n of_o art_n or_o force_v upon_o himself_o the_o lord_n charge_v the_o jew_n with_o this_o kind_n of_o hypocrisy_n isa_n 58.2_o they_o seek_v i_o daily_a and_o delight_n to_o know_v my_o way_n as_o a_o nation_n that_o do_v righteousness_n that_o be_v they_o act_v with_o a_o appear_a forwardness_n like_o those_o who_o true_o delight_v to_o know_v my_o way_n yet_o all_o this_o be_v but_o as_o a_o piece_n of_o art_n for_o as_o the_o lord_n upbraid_v they_o vers_n 3_o 4._o they_o real_o keep_v
