which_o saul_n which_o herod_n which_o judas_n have_v not_o it_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o wisdom_n in_o the_o trial_n of_o ourselves_o to_o be_v acquaint_v with_o those_o sort_n of_o evidence_n which_o be_v of_o a_o clear_n nature_n of_o which_o i_o will_v give_v you_o two_o property_n 1._o those_o evidence_n which_o be_v clear_v be_v such_o as_o the_o word_n do_v countenance_n what_o ever_o evidence_n the_o word_n do_v not_o countenance_n they_o be_v but_o the_o presumption_n of_o our_o own_o heart_n and_o never_o give_v we_o comfort_v in_o life_n or_o death_n it_o be_v the_o book_n must_v cast_v we_o or_o clear_v we_o at_o the_o last_o day_n a_o second_o property_n of_o clear_v evidence_n they_o must_v be_v such_o as_o be_v universal_o reciprocal_a distinctive_a evidence_n that_o be_v such_o evidence_n as_o be_v incompatible_a with_o any_o who_o heart_n be_v not_o sincere_a and_o concomitant_a with_o they_o who_o heart_n be_v sincere_a they_o must_v be_v such_o as_o be_v essential_a to_o a_o christian_a as_o a_o christian_n if_o there_o be_v any_o who_o have_v they_o and_o be_v not_o a_o christian_a be_v not_o sincere_a or_o any_o who_o be_v a_o christian_a sincere_a and_o have_v they_o not_o they_o be_v not_o right_a they_o must_v be_v such_o as_o do_v manifest_v every_o person_n in_o who_o they_o be_v to_o be_v sincere_a and_o do_v discover_v where_o ever_o they_o be_v not_o what_o ever_o show_v they_o have_v they_o be_v not_o sincere_a i_o have_v tell_v you_o former_o on_o another_o subject_n that_o what_o ever_o another_o man_n may_v do_v or_o have_v and_o yet_o not_o be_v in_o christ_n yet_o not_o be_v sincere_a will_v never_o be_v a_o sufficient_a evidence_n to_o i_o that_o have_v or_o do_v that_o i_o be_o sincere_a and_o by_o these_o two_o property_n there_o will_v be_v a_o great_a deal_n cast_v down_o from_o be_v clear_v evidence_n if_o i_o have_v time_n to_o insist_v on_o they_o thou_o pray_v thou_o hear_v thou_o do_v much_o in_o the_o way_n of_o god_n but_o this_o will_v not_o be_v enough_o to_o clear_v thy_o sincerity_n for_o i_o have_v show_v you_o that_o a_o man_n may_v do_v all_o this_o and_o more_o too_o yet_o not_o sincere_a and_o therefore_o these_o will_v be_v no_o clear_v evidence_n and_o therefore_o let_v we_o go_v by_o this_o rule_n examine_v what_o be_v those_o clear_v evidence_n of_o your_o sincerity_n and_o examine_v yourselves_o by_o they_o obj._n but_o how_o shall_v i_o know_v what_o be_v those_o heart-clearing_a evidence_n that_o so_o i_o may_v examine_v myself_o by_o they_o answ_n i_o have_v show_v you_o some_o property_n you_o see_v of_o evidence_n of_o this_o nature_n i_o have_v also_o cast_v down_o many_o from_o be_v sufficient_a to_o clear_v your_o sincerity_n we_o will_v now_o give_v you_o some_o which_o be_v clear_v evidence_n 1_o some_o take_v from_o the_o disposition_n of_o mourning_n sin_n demonstration_n of_o sincerity_n in_o 1._o mourn_v in_o part_n of_o sin_n 1_o a_o hypocrite_n can_v mourn_v for_o all_o sin_n it_o may_v be_v he_o may_v mourn_v for_o general_a for_o common_a and_o sensual_a sin_n but_o not_o for_o close_v spiritual_a and_o secret_a sin_n his_o unbeleef_n his_o hypocrisy_n pride_n 2_o a_o hypocrite_n can_v mourn_v for_o sin_n as_o sin_n for_o sin_n in_o its_o own_o nature_n but_o as_o clad_v with_o wrath_n and_o punishment_n now_o then_o if_o god_n have_v give_v thou_o a_o heart_n to_o mourn_v for_o all_o sin_n and_o for_o sin_n as_o sin_n it_o be_v a_o evidence_n of_o thy_o sincerity_n 1_o a_o hypocrite_n can_v mourn_v for_o the_o want_n of_o fullness_n of_o ordinance_n want_v 2_o of_o ordinance_n want_v 2_o nor_o can_v he_o mourn_v for_o want_v of_o any_o ordinance_n out_o of_o discovery_n of_o the_o beauty_n and_o excellency_n in_o they_o now_o then_o if_o god_n give_v thou_o a_o heart_n to_o mourn_v for_o etc._n etc._n 3_o a_o hypocrite_n can_v mourn_v for_o sin_n of_o other_o other_o 3_o in_o sin_n of_o other_o nor_o 2_o for_o the_o want_n of_o growth_n in_o himself_o if_o therefore_o god_n have_v give_v thou_o such_o a_o heart_n etc._n etc._n thou_o must_v conclude_v thy_o own_o sincerity_n desire_n sincerity_n of_o desire_n 2_o for_o matter_n of_o desire_n 1_o he_o can_v desire_v the_o death_n of_o all_o sin_n he_o have_v some_o darling_n etc._n etc._n 2_o he_o can_v desire_v the_o death_n of_o any_o sin_n as_o sin_n but_o for_o other_o respect_n if_o therefore_o god_n have_v give_v thou_o a_o heart_n desirous_a to_o be_v purge_v as_o well_o as_o pardon_v that_o desire_v the_o death_n of_o all_o and_o of_o sin_n as_o sin_n etc._n etc._n again_o in_o point_n of_o desire_n of_o grace_n 1_o a_o hypocrite_n do_v not_o desire_v all_o grace_n there_o be_v some_o he_o will_v not_o own_v he_o love_v not_o universal_a exactness_n 2_o he_o desire_v not_o any_o grace_n as_o grace_n in_o its_o own_o native_a beauty_n and_o excellency_n but_o at_o time_n death_n etc._n etc._n and_o then_o as_o a_o stalk_a horse_n if_o therefore_o god_n have_v give_v thou_o a_o heart_n to_o desire_v and_o thirst_n after_o all_o grace_n exact_a conformity_n to_o god_n in_o all_o thing_n and_o to_o desire_v grace_n as_o grace_n etc._n etc._n god_n of_o affection_n 1_o to_o god_n 3_o for_o matter_n of_o affection_n 1_o a_o hypocrite_n can_v love_v god_n for_o himself_o 2_o he_o can_v love_v god_n as_o god_n as_o in_o his_o own_o nature_n so_o contrary_a if_o therefore_o god_n have_v give_v thou_o a_o heart_n to_o love_v he_o for_o himself_o etc._n etc._n sainâ—s_n to_o sainâ—s_n 2_o again_o towards_o the_o saint_n 1_o a_o hypocrite_n he_o love_v not_o all_o the_o saint_n some_o he_o may_v not_o all_o 2_o he_o love_v not_o the_o saint_n as_o the_o saint_n but_o for_o other_o respect_n if_o therefore_o god_n
