of_o christ_n they_o set_v it_o out_o by_o good_a thing_n there_o be_v no_o need_n of_o their_o good_a thing_n nation_n shall_v not_o rise_v against_o nation_n they_o shall_v break_v their_o spear_n into_o mattock_n 12._o the_o wolf_n shall_v dwell_v with_o the_o lamb_n and_o the_o leopard_n with_o the_o kid_n they_o shall_v eat_v of_o the_o tree_n of_o life_n and_o the_o hide_a manna_n there_o they_o shall_v be_v make_v pillar_n in_o the_o temple_n of_o god_n there_o they_o shall_v be_v clothe_v with_o long_a white_a robe_n which_o place_n take_v we_o by_o the_o hand_n and_o bring_v we_o saint_n paul_n account_v all_o but_o dung_n that_o he_o may_v win_v christ_n and_o come_v to_o those_o joy_n and_o ignatius_n faith_n that_o break_v of_o bone_n fire_n and_o gallow_n quarter_a of_o limb_n come_v what_o will_v so_o i_o may_v come_v to_o those_o joy_n i_o will_v we_o have_v all_o the_o like_a zeal_n after_o those_o joy_n our_o coldness_n in_o seek_v those_o joy_n come_v from_o a_o base_a esteem_n of_o they_o for_o if_o we_o do_v esteem_v they_o we_o will_v labour_v exceed_o after_o they_o many_o thing_n for_o use_n may_v be_v infer_v hence_o comfort_n as_o first_o here_o be_v comfort_n and_o encouragement_n to_o all_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n the_o servant_n of_o christ_n that_o take_v pain_n to_o live_v a_o godly_a life_n however_o here_o they_o endure_v affliction_n and_o mock_n and_o reproach_n and_o scoff_v of_o the_o world_n yet_o christ_n have_v a_o great_a reward_n for_o they_o let_v they_o rejoice_v great_a shall_v their_o reward_n be_v give_v i_o a_o man_n then_o that_o have_v buckle_v with_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o time_n that_o have_v study_v the_o advancement_n of_o religion_n give_v i_o such_o a_o one_o as_o have_v encourage_v those_o that_o be_v feeble_a that_o have_v provide_v for_o the_o lord_n prophet_n that_o have_v reform_v the_o abuse_n of_o the_o lord_n day_n as_o nehemiah_n what_o will_v inflame_v his_o zeal_n more_o than_o this_o that_o christ_n his_o saviour_n see_v it_o and_o regard_v it_o and_o will_v reward_v he_o and_o lest_o he_o shall_v faint_v before_o the_o reward_n come_v he_o say_v he_o will_v come_v short_o this_o comfort_v elias_n in_o the_o wilderness_n and_o jeremiah_n in_o the_o dungeon_n and_o job_n on_o the_o dunghill_n so_o that_o they_o be_v more_o than_o conqueror_n through_o christ_n second_o 4.1_o be_v it_o so_o that_o christ_n shall_v come_v to_o judgement_n and_o have_v his_o reward_n with_o he_o here_o be_v terror_n to_o all_o the_o wicked_a worker_n of_o iniquity_n behold_v faith_n creature_n he_o use_v a_o strange_a word_n which_o signify_o a_o put_v out_o of_o the_o head_n look_v to_o see_v what_o it_o can_v espy_v a_o great_a way_n off_o to_o see_v if_o there_o be_v any_o sign_n of_o his_o come_n 8.19_o rom._n 8.19_o and_o he_o tell_v we_o that_o the_o creature_n do_v not_o only_o put_v out_o the_o head_n and_o look_v but_o wait_v and_o groan_n and_o sigh_n and_o travel_v as_o a_o woman_n in_o pain_n and_o quoth_v the_o apostle_n not_o only_o the_o creature_n do_v thus_o but_o we_o that_o have_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n nay_o if_o the_o creature_n put_v out_o the_o head_n and_o groan_n and_o wait_v and_o be_v in_o pain_n till_o that_o day_n come_v how_o much_o more_o shall_v we_o that_o have_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o
they_o will_v never_o be_v comfort_v for_o their_o brother_n for_o their_o sister_n for_o their_o child_n etc._n etc._n what_o shall_v we_o say_v to_o these_o thing_n do_v you_o think_v the_o lord_n speak_v not_o as_o he_o mean_v or_o that_o the_o apostle_n when_o he_o say_v here_o absolute_o and_o determinate_o that_o thus_o and_o thus_o you_o must_v do_v if_o you_o be_v christian_n if_o you_o be_v brethren_n shall_v we_o do_v the_o contrary_a to_o all_o this_o and_o yet_o think_v that_o all_o will_v be_v well_o i_o know_v you_o may_v put_v it_o off_o many_o of_o you_o and_o allege_v many_o thing_n we_o have_v calling_n and_o we_o must_v follow_v our_o calling_n if_o god_n bring_v i_o in_o employment_n blame_v i_o not_o if_o i_o follow_v it_o and_o i_o know_v not_o how_o to_o live_v if_o i_o do_v not_o do_v thus_o and_o thus_o but_o be_v not_o deceive_v not_o god_n be_v not_o mock_v in_o a_o word_n therefore_o to_o put_v you_o on_o the_o trial_n if_o thou_o find_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o thy_o trade_n and_o merchandize_v or_o whatsoever_o calling_n thou_o be_v of_o thy_o heart_n daily_o gather_v towards_o heaven_n that_o thou_o can_v say_v bless_a be_v god_n for_o this_o and_o other_o commodity_n but_o christ_n be_v my_o darling_n this_o be_v good_a and_o then_o in_o these_o thing_n if_o thou_o have_v a_o care_n to_o use_v they_o aright_o as_o well_o as_o to_o get_v they_o shall_v i_o do_v good_a with_o so_o much_o as_o i_o have_v get_v by_o such_o a_o bargain_n god_n forbid_v i_o shall_v say_v against_o thou_o though_o thou_o be_v full_a of_o business_n from_o morning_n to_o evening_n but_o alas_o there_o be_v many_o good_a people_n and_o godly_a that_o have_v hope_n that_o they_o serve_v god_n yet_o if_o they_o go_v home_o and_o examine_v themselves_o thorough_o their_o own_o conscience_n will_v tell_v they_o that_o in_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n they_o be_v not_o as_o if_o not_o but_o rather_o that_o they_o have_v be_v over-careful_a and_o too_o full_a of_o distraction_n in_o business_n and_o so_o for_o matter_n of_o joy_n if_o a_o man_n have_v a_o little_a pleasure_n or_o preferment_n give_v he_o his_o heart_n be_v so_o up_o that_o he_o know_v not_o where_o he_o be_v he_o be_v so_o transport_v that_o he_o have_v clean_o forget_v himself_o this_o can_v stand_v this_o be_v not_o to_o be_v as_o if_o not_o and_o therefore_o i_o beseech_v you_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n think_v of_o it_o now_o if_o a_o man_n will_v know_v not_o how_o he_o shall_v come_v to_o have_v his_o heart_n in_o a_o good_a temper_n to_o be_v in_o these_o thing_n as_o if_o not_o in_o one_o word_n let_v i_o tell_v you_o that_o rule_n of_o saint_n paul_n in_o all_o thing_n be_v fill_v with_o the_o spirit_n and_o then_o thou_o will_v not_o take_v think_v much_o for_o other_o thing_n if_o once_o you_o let_v your_o soul_n be_v fill_v with_o the_o thing_n of_o a_o better_a life_n then_o wife_n and_o child_n and_o wealth_n and_o pleasure_n or_o any_o thing_n else_o will_v not_o draw_v away_o your_o heart_n get_v a_o good_a handfast_a of_o jesus_n christ_n work_v out_o your_o salvation_n and_o that_o you_o may_v know_v that_o you_o be_v believer_n upon_o good_a ground_n and_o that_o you_o have_v the_o grace_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o you_o indeed_o and_o in_o truth_n that_o you_o be_v new_a creature_n and_o then_o often_o think_v of_o the_o rare_a thing_n that_o be_v provide_v for_o you_o in_o another_o life_n what_o to_o have_v god_n to_o be_v your_o father_n and_o angel_n your_o keeper_n to_o be_v child_n to_o be_v the_o companion_n of_o angel_n weigh_v these_o thing_n daily_o and_o then_o you_o will_v be_v as_o if_o not_o in_o all_o these_o outward_a and_o worldly_a thing_n and_o until_o thou_o do_v this_o and_o think_v withal_o of_o that_o i_o have_v former_o say_v that_o thou_o be_v ready_a to_o strike_v sail_n i_o will_v never_o believe_v that_o thou_o will_v be_v as_o if_o not_o this_o be_v the_o use_v such_o a_o spur_n for_o it_o be_v a_o very_a hard_a lesson_n if_o you_o will_v be_v as_o if_o you_o be_v not_o consider_v this_o the_o fashion_n of_o the_o world_n pass_v away_o that_o be_v it_o signify_v i_o touch_v it_o before_o such_o a_o fashion_n as_o be_v on_o a_o stage_n all_o these_o thing_n below_o they_o be_v but_o as_o the_o act_n of_o a_o comedy_n as_o a_o scene_n it_o may_v be_v it_o be_v do_v in_o half_a a_o hour_n and_o though_o it_o make_v a_o fine_a show_n yet_o in_o truth_n there_o be_v no_o substance_n in_o it_o there_o be_v one_o spur_n it_o be_v a_o fashion_n beside_o it_o pass_v away_o so_o then_o in_o this_o spur_n there_o be_v two_o thing_n i_o will_v but_o name_v the_o head_n first_o substance_n that_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o world_n all_o that_o i_o name_v before_o be_v but_o a_o show_n without_o a_o substance_n even_o as_o a_o scene_n or_o comedy_n thing_n that_o have_v a_o glorious_a glitter_a show_n to_o the_o eye_n but_o if_o you_o look_v indeed_o and_o in_o truth_n upon_o they_o there_o be_v no_o such_o matter_n that_o be_v one_o thing_n that_o i_o note_v that_o our_o life_n be_v but_o as_o the_o act_n of_o a_o part_n in_o a_o comedy_n and_o so_o by_o consequence_n in_o all_o these_o outward_a thing_n thy_o contentment_n in_o wife_n or_o child_n or_o credit_n or_o pleasure_n thou_o do_v but_o act_v a_o glorious_a part_n it_o may_v be_v thou_o have_v a_o goodly_a outside_n fine_a clothes_n rich_a apparel_n a_o outward_a representation_n of_o comfort_n but_o look_v through_o they_o and_o there_o be_v no_o such_o matter_n but_o the_o second_o thing_n which_o i_o rather_o will_v press_v go_v be_v that_o it_o be_v sudden_o go_v it_o pass_v away_o say_v the_o apostle_n as_o a_o man_n have_v but_o a_o little_a time_n to_o tarry_v in_o the_o world_n so_o all_o the_o thing_n he_o enjoy_v in_o the_o world_n be_v wondrous_a inconstant_a that_o look_v as_o it_o be_v in_o a_o play_n he_o that_o now_o act_v the_o part_n of_o a_o king_n it_o may_v be_v next_o he_o may_v act_v the_o part_n of_o a_o beggar_n or_o as_o it_o be_v with_o some_o of_o your_o delicate_a fashion_n that_o while_o you_o be_v speak_v of_o they_o the_o fashion_n be_v spoil_v even_o so_o the_o fashion_n of_o this_o world_n it_o will_v not_o continue_v that_o be_v the_o sum_n of_o that_o i_o desire_v you_o to_o take_v notice_n of_o that_o if_o you_o will_v not_o be_v persuade_v by_o i_o or_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o his_o unworthy_a minister_n to_o use_v the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n morderate_o and_o carry_v yourselves_o as_o you_o ought_v in_o cross_n and_o affliction_n yet_o know_v this_o that_o the_o fashion_n of_o these_o thing_n will_v short_o be_v spoil_v and_o if_o they_o be_v all_o so_o unconstant_a what_o a_o fool_n be_v thou_o to_o set_v thy_o heart_n upon_o they_o we_o may_v learn_v this_o wisdom_n from_o the_o foolery_n of_o our_o english_a nation_n esteem_v now_o the_o idle_v people_n of_o the_o world_n for_o change_v their_o fashion_n they_o will_v never_o make_v clothes_n twice_o of_o one_o fashion_n but_o one_o gown_n of_o this_o fashion_n and_o another_o of_o that_o and_o though_o he_o be_v never_o so_o good_a a_o tailor_n that_o make_v it_o yet_o he_o must_v make_v no_o more_o of_o the_o same_o fashion_n but_o the_o next_o term_n they_o will_v come_v to_o another_o learn_v i_o say_v this_o wisdom_n from_o that_o foolery_n now_o the_o lord_n give_v thou_o comfort_n in_o thy_o wife_n set_v not_o thy_o heart_n too_o much_o upon_o she_o the_o next_o term_n the_o fashion_n may_v change_v now_o thou_o be_v rich_a let_v not_o thy_o heart_n dote_v upon_o thy_o riches_n it_o be_v but_o a_o fashion_n a_o show_n it_o pass_v away_o to_o morrow_n thou_o may_v be_v a_o beggar_n to_o day_n a_o man_n to_o morrow_n none_o but_o if_o thou_o will_v keep_v the_o fashion_n get_v the_o fashion_n of_o grace_n get_v a_o right_n to_o heaven_n a_o interest_n in_o god_n and_o be_v content_a in_o god_n name_n to_o follow_v his_o fashion_n if_o the_o fashion_n that_o god_n will_v have_v thou_o be_v in_o be_v to_o be_v a_o humble_a deject_a man_n be_v content_a with_o that_o fashion_n if_o anon_o
earnest_o with_o such_o vehement_a affection_n as_o if_o they_o be_v to_o live_v their_o age_n over_o a_o hundred_o time_n be_v there_o not_o a_o number_n of_o politician_n that_o profess_v this_o hope_n too_o that_o hold_v it_o most_o unwise_a and_o foolish_a thing_n in_o the_o world_n to_o lose_v any_o thing_n for_o conscience-sake_n and_o for_o christ_n alas_o these_o thing_n will_v not_o stand_v with_o this_o expectation_n when_o a_o man_n have_v a_o good_a title_n to_o heaven_n he_o be_v content_a to_o part_v with_o the_o break_a title_n to_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o life_n as_o long_o indeed_o as_o a_o man_n have_v not_o a_o better_a title_n he_o will_v hold_v to_o that_o worse_o but_o when_o he_o have_v a_o bless_a title_n to_o the_o inheritance_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o light_n he_o care_v not_o for_o this_o break_a tenor_n and_o title_n he_o will_v not_o hold_v they_o because_o they_o can_v hold_v he_o in_o the_o last_o place_n another_o note_n that_o attend_v this_o expectation_n be_v where_o this_o be_v there_o will_v be_v a_o answerable_a affection_n there_o will_v be_v a_o promote_a of_o all_o the_o mean_n to_o further_o it_o their_o will_n be_v a_o grief_n and_o sorrow_n for_o all_o thing_n that_o come_v against_o it_o to_o hinder_v it_o thus_o we_o do_v in_o other_o expectation_n when_o we_o expect_v this_o or_o that_o reversion_n when_o anything_o come_v between_o our_o hope_n we_o grieve_v for_o it_o any_o thing_n that_o come_v or_o fall_v out_o to_o further_a our_o hope_n we_o rejoice_v in_o it_o and_o thus_o it_o will_v be_v
