with_o great_a detestatyon_n condemn_v of_o the_o father_n and_o therefore_o they_o must_v seem_v at_o the_o least_o in_o some_o superficial_a trifle_n as_o stout_a enemy_n to_o dissent_v from_o he_o wherefore_o where_o his_o cunning_n be_v by_o saint_n augustine_n detect_v that_o though_o he_o use_v the_o name_n of_o grace_n yet_o he_o mean_v nothing_o thereby_o but_o only_a nature_n now_o unto_o the_o goodness_n and_o love_n of_o god_n they_o think_v themselves_o to_o have_v give_v a_o substauntyall_a show_n why_o all_o they_o that_o be_v therewith_o adorn_v shall_v be_v acceptable_a unto_o god_n namely_o by_o reason_n of_o that_o likeness_n and_o similitude_n to_o the_o goodness_n &_o love_n of_o god_n and_o this_o forsooth_o they_o term_v gratia_n gratum_fw-la faciens_fw-la that_o be_v grace_n which_o make_v man_n acceptable_a by_o which_o reason_n it_o must_v follow_v that_o the_o love_n wherewith_o god_n accept_v we_o must_v come_v after_o this_o grace_n and_o come_v or_o else_o by_o resist_v the_o same_o to_o omit_v they_o and_o i_o pray_v you_o from_o whence_o come_v this_o will_n see_v they_o call_v it_o free_a can_v they_o have_v err_v more_o if_o they_o have_v with_o pelagius_n affirm_v the_o first_o cause_n of_o good_a work_n to_o come_v from_o nature_n no_o assure_o for_o they_o place_v the_o principal_a cause_n in_o free_a will_n which_o they_o place_v in_o nature_n and_o unto_o grace_n though_o in_o word_n they_o geve_v it_o the_o first_o place_n yet_o allow_v they_o it_o no_o further_o power_n but_o only_o to_o offer_v it_o unto_o the_o mind_n leave_v the_o whole_a sovereignty_n unto_o nature_n namely_o fire_n will_v and_o choice_n to_o admit_v or_o not_o admit_v the_o same_o so_o that_o in_o this_o matter_n they_o differre_fw-la from_o pelagius_n only_o herein_o in_o that_o he_o affirm_v the_o first_o cause_n of_o good_a work_n to_o consist_v in_o nature_n and_o the_o papist_n affirm_v it_o to_o consist_v in_o grace_n but_o yet_o unto_o that_o grace_n they_o
discern_v thing_n that_o differ_v to_o judge_v between_o good_a work_n and_o counterfeit_a work_n between_o true_a religion_n &_o hypocrisy_n that_o so_o through_o that_o knowledge_n they_o may_v confusion_n but_o will_v contrariwise_o have_v humble_v themselves_o unto_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o have_v consider_v the_o end_n of_o his_o purpose_n in_o man_n salvation_n but_o they_o not_o consider_v that_o to_o be_v the_o praise_n and_o glory_n of_o his_o own_o grace_n and_o enforce_v the_o rigour_n of_o the_o outward_a sound_n of_o some_o word_n in_o the_o scripture_n have_v gather_v work_n to_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o man_n justification_n where_o if_o they_o more_o narrow_o consider_v they_o shall_v see_v that_o faith_n be_v the_o only_a mean_a by_o which_o work_n be_v endue_v with_o the_o title_n of_o goodness_n forasmuch_o as_o no_o good_a work_n can_v be_v wrought_v but_o by_o a_o man_n already_o by_o faith_n justify_v and_o apparel_v with_o the_o righteousness_n of_o innocency_n &_o righteousness_n wherefore_o by_o example_n of_o every_o of_o these_o sort_n let_v we_o seek_v true_o to_o understand_v they_o by_o their_o agreement_n with_o then selue_o and_o the_o
