from_o love_n and_o grace_n a_o man_n perish_v by_o the_o law_n in_o such_o sin_n but_o then_o there_o be_v a_o pardon_n offer_v if_o man_n will_v come_v under_o the_o government_n of_o christ_n and_o lead_v new_a life_n but_o if_o man_n refuse_v there_o be_v a_o superadded_a guilt_n not_o only_a justice_n condemn_v such_o wretch_n but_o mercy_n itself_o because_o they_o refuse_v mercy_n upon_o empty_a and_o vain_a they_o be_v and_o forget_v themselves_o and_o their_o own_o mortality_n and_o forget_v other_o what_o respect_n be_v due_a to_o they_o as_o if_o the_o world_n be_v make_v only_o for_o they_o to_o toss_v and_o tumble_v in_o at_o their_o pleasure_n to_o have_v all_o at_o their_o will_n as_o if_o other_o man_n be_v scarce_o man_n to_o they_o you_o see_v when_o man_n be_v trust_v with_o great_a matter_n they_o deal_v with_o other_o man_n as_o if_o they_o be_v not_o man_n as_o if_o all_o be_v make_v for_o their_o pleasure_n this_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o man_n in_o great_a eminency_n it_o set_v up_o its_o own_o desire_n for_o a_o god_n as_o if_o all_o other_o be_v beast_n and_o base_a and_o nothing_o it_o be_v a_o pitiful_a thing_n to_o consider_v what_o our_o nature_n poor_a and_o afflict_a as_o together_o with_o the_o meanness_n of_o their_o outward_a condition_n have_v it_o sanctify_v to_o they_o so_o as_o they_o grow_v to_o be_v low_a and_o poor_a in_o their_o own_o esteem_n of_o themselves_o they_o grow_v to_o inward_a poverty_n of_o spirit_n and_o so_o to_o seek_v to_o god_n to_o seek_v for_o better_a riches_n to_o be_v rich_a in_o faith_n as_o the_o scripture_n speak_v especial_o such_o and_o only_o such_o be_v here_o mean_v so_o then_o mark_v the_o point_n here_o that_o god_n sanctify_v affliction_n and_o poverty_n for_o the_o inward_a good_a of_o the_o soul_n of_o his_o child_n this_o be_v the_o reason_n of_o it_o outward_a poverty_n and_o affliction_n take_v away_o the_o fuel_n that_o feed_v pride_n 1_o that_o be_v a_o opposite_a to_o spiritual_a poverty_n pride_n and_o humility_n and_o sight_n of_o our_o want_n that_o which_o pride_n feed_v upon_o it_o be_v some_o outward_a thing_n some_o outward_a excellency_n that_o the_o flesh_n take_v occasion_n by_o to_o swell_v to_o overween_a itself_o and_o to_o overlook_v all_o other_o now_o when_o the_o fuel_n be_v take_v away_o the_o fire_n go_v out_o when_o the_o fodder_n
