judge_v as_o inward_o regenerate_v because_o our_o judgement_n of_o other_o can_v extend_v no_o further_o than_o the_o outward_a appearance_n but_o if_o we_o have_v no_o other_o assurance_n of_o our_o own_o safety_n but_o by_o outward_a mean_n our_o hope_n be_v but_o uncertain_a for_o that_o which_o we_o hope_v of_o other_o we_o must_v feel_v in_o ourselves_o we_o must_v feel_v that_o inward_a grace_n within_o we_o which_o make_v the_o outward_a mean_n effectual_a unto_o we_o and_o therefore_o if_o we_o feel_v not_o repentance_n in_o ourselves_o our_o baptism_n be_v ineffectual_a and_o unavaileable_a again_o in_o the_o second_o place_n although_o man_n of_o dissolute_a and_o scandalous_a carriage_n may_v by_o enidence_n of_o reason_n be_v bring_v to_o confess_v that_o their_o outward_a bpatisme_n be_v unavaileable_a without_o inward_a and_o true_a repentance_n yet_o do_v the_o devil_n through_o their_o own_o corruption_n so_o far_o prevail_v with_o they_o as_o to_o persuade_v they_o and_o make_v they_o think_v that_o they_o repent_v when_o as_o indeed_o they_o do_v nothing_o less_o for_o whereas_o repentance_n do_v especial_o consist_v in_o a_o die_a to_o sin_n 6.2_o rom._n 6.2_o how_o shall_v they_o that_o be_v dead_a to_o sin_n say_v the_o apostle_n yet_o live_v therein_o if_o therefore_o we_o say_v that_o by_o die_v to_o sin_n we_o have_v fellowship_n of_o hate_n of_o grief_n and_o sorrow_n for_o some_o sin_n some_o kind_n of_o obedience_n also_o unto_o many_o of_o god_n commandment_n which_o may_v give_v they_o some_o cause_n to_o think_v that_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n work_v in_o they_o the_o grace_n of_o repentance_n when_o as_o in_o truth_n it_o be_v nothing_o so_o because_o there_o be_v eversome_a great_a defect_n therein_o which_o make_v it_o imporfect_a and_o so_o unacceptable_a either_o it_o be_v not_o sincere_a or_o not_o entire_a or_o build_v upon_o some_o indirect_a and_o oblique_a respect_n or_o other_o as_o first_o for_o example_n in_o the_o pharise_n that_o come_v to_o johns_n baptism_n there_o be_v questionless_a some_o doubt_n make_v they_o in_o some_o sort_n think_v well_o of_o themselves_o but_o yet_o it_o be_v not_o sincere_a 3.7_o math._n 3.7_o as_o it_o appear_v by_o johns_n reproof_n so_o also_o it_o be_v say_v of_o horod_n that_o he_o hear_v john_n glad_o which_o quiet_v his_o couscience_n in_o some_o of_o repentance_n take_v such_o impression_n that_o it_o make_v they_o sell_v their_o possession_n and_o all_o they_o have_v &_o lie_v down_o the_o price_n at_o the_o apostle_n foot_n only_o they_o keep_v back_o some_o small_a part_n thereof_o to_o help_v they_o if_o occasion_n shall_v serve_v which_o one_o will_v have_v think_v will_v not_o have_v be_v censure_v with_o such_o a_o heavy_a
