other_o yes_o undoubted_o as_o let_v it_o be_v grant_v that_o thy_o knowledge_n be_v still_o small_a thy_o faith_n weak_a thy_o charity_n cold_a thy_o heart_n dull_a and_o hard_a thy_o good_a work_n few_o and_o imperfect_a and_o all_o thy_o zealous_a resolution_n easy_o hinder_v and_o quite_o overthrow_v with_o every_o small_a temptation_n yet_o god_n that_o work_v in_o we_o both_o the_o will_n and_o the_o work_n will_v accept_v the_o will_n for_o the_o work_n and_o that_o which_o be_v want_v in_o we_o christ_n will_v supply_v with_o his_o own_o righteousness_n he_o respect_v not_o what_o we_o can_v do_v so_o much_o as_o what_o we_o will_v do_v and_o that_o which_o we_o will_v perform_v and_o can_v he_o esteem_v it_o as_o though_o it_o be_v perform_v thus_o he_o take_v a_o heart_n desirous_a to_o repent_v and_o believe_v for_o a_o penitent_a and_o believe_a heart_n whereas_o take_v away_o the_o will_n and_o all_o act_n in_o god_n sight_n be_v equal_a well_o may_v i_o doubt_v who_o have_v divers_a and_o those_o no_o small_a fault_n yet_o with_o one_o breath_n do_v god_n report_v both_o these_o the_o high_a place_n be_v not_o remove_v and_o nevertheless_o asahs_n heart_n be_v perfect_a so_o our_o fayling_n be_v not_o wilful_a though_o they_o be_v many_o and_o great_a yet_o they_o can_v hinder_v our_o interest_n in_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n a_o honest_a and_o become_v of_o we_o for_o the_o work_n of_o grace_n though_o it_o do_v not_o suffer_v christian_n to_o live_v as_o they_o listen_v yet_o it_o do_v not_o enable_v they_o to_o live_v as_o they_o will_v it_o be_v not_o so_o broad_a as_o to_o allow_v of_o corruption_n nor_o so_o narrow_a but_o it_o will_v permit_v of_o corruption_n §_o 72._o but_o five_o lest_o the_o former_a consideration_n shall_v love_n i_o be_o sure_a thou_o have_v faith_n for_o they_o be_v as_o inseparable_a as_o fire_n and_o heat_n life_n and_o motion_n and_o so_o of_o other_o grace_n §_o 73._o but_o sixthly_a for_o i_o will_v go_v yet_o further_o with_o thou_o suppose_v nothing_o that_o i_o have_v hitherto_o say_v will_v satisfy_v thou_o and_o that_o thou_o will_v not_o auknowledge_v any_o of_o these_o grace_n to_o be_v in_o thou_o yet_o still_o thy_o case_n may_v be_v good_a enough_o for_o a_o christian_a in_o time_n of_o spiritual_a distemper_n and_o desersion_n be_v as_o one_o in_o a_o sound_n in_o which_o every_o probation_n into_o reprobation_n every_o dejection_n into_o rejection_n and_o if_o they_o be_v cast_v down_o they_o cry_v out_o they_o be_v cast_v away_o but_o in_o such_o distemper_n a_o man_n be_v not_o a_o competent_a judge_n in_o his_o own_o case_n as_o in_o humane_a law_n there_o be_v annullity_n hold_v of_o word_n and_o action_n extort_a and_o wrong_v from_o man_n by_o fear_n because_o in_o such_o case_n a_o man_n be_v hold_v not_o to_o have_v power_n or_o command_v in_o some_o sort_n of_o himself_o a_o trouble_a soul_n be_v like_o trouble_a water_n we_o can_v discern_v nothing_o clear_o in_o it_o wherefore_o in_o such_o case_n a_o man_n must_v call_v to_o remembrance_n the_o time_n past_a and_o how_o it_o have_v be_v with_o he_o former_o as_o david_n do_v psal_n 77.2_o to_o 12._o and_o likewise_o job_n chap._n 31._o and_o he_o must_v thou_o do_v and_o then_o if_o ever_o thou_o have_v true_a faith_n wrought_v in_o thy_o heart_n it_o can_v never_o be_v clean_o extinguish_v and_o so_o of_o love_n and_o godly_a sorrow_n for_o the_o gift_n and_o call_n of_o god_n be_v without_o repentance_n as_o it_o be_v rom._n 11.29_o i_o the_o lord_n change_v not_o mal._n 3_o 6._o and_o the_o weak_a faith_n if_o true_a though_o it_o be_v not_o the_o like_a strong_a yet_o it_o be_v the_o like_a precious_a faith_n to_o that_o of_o abraham_n whereby_o to_o lay_v hold_n displeasure_n against_o it_o show_v that_o there_o be_v something_o in_o thou_o opposite_a to_o sin_n viz._n that_o thou_o be_v penitent_a in_o affection_n though_o not_o in_o action_n even_o as_o a_o child_n be_v rational_a in_o power_n though_o not_o in_o act_n neither_o be_v the_o centurion_n ever_o so_o worthy_a as_o when_o he_o think_v himself_o most_o unworthy_a for_o all_o our_o worthiness_n be_v in_o a_o capable_a misery_n §_o 74._o but_o here_o by_o the_o way_n observe_v one_o caution_n as_o the_o plaster_n must_v not_o be_v less_o than_o the_o sore_a so_o the_o tem_n must_v not_o be_v
