which_o god_n intend_v to_o give_v and_o never_o to_o take_v away_o if_o thou_o thankful_o receive_v what_o god_n free_o offer_v and_o as_o it_o be_v lay_n down_o at_o thy_o foot_n the_o call_n of_o christ_n therefore_o be_v the_o ground_n by_o which_o we_o first_o believe_v and_o that_o you_o may_v be_v confirm_v far_o herein_o do_v but_o consider_v the_o glory_n and_o excellency_n of_o this_o heavenly_a impression_n of_o god_n spirit_n in_o you_o you_o may_v then_o many_o a_o day_n and_o year_n keep_v at_o a_o distance_n from_o christ_n and_o live_v without_o christ_n for_o the_o feel_n of_o grace_n and_o assurance_n of_o favour_n be_v not_o constant_a but_o this_o call_n be_v always_o sound_v in_o thy_o year_n oh_o come_v not_o only_o because_o thou_o feel_v holiness_n in_o thou_o to_o read_v it_o and_o keep_v it_o fair_a and_o thereby_o have_v constant_a peace_n and_o quietness_n and_o hence_o arise_v those_o speech_n why_o do_v you_o look_v to_o your_o sanctification_n
a_o blot_a evidence_n you_o may_v have_v it_o to_o day_n and_o lose_v it_o to_o morrow_n and_o then_o where_o be_v your_o peace_n and_o i_o do_v believe_v the_o lord_n deprive_v many_o of_o his_o precious_a saint_n from_o the_o comfort_n of_o this_o evidence_n either_o because_o they_o look_v only_o to_o this_o and_o not_o unto_o christ_n and_o their_o justification_n by_o faith_n rom._n 5.1_o or_o else_o because_o there_o be_v some_o secret_a lust_n or_o guile_n of_o spirit_n psal._n 32.1_o 2._o which_o the_o lord_n by_o sore_a and_o long_a shake_n about_o their_o call_n and_o sanctification_n will_v first_o winnow_v out_o or_o because_o there_o be_v a_o perverse_a frowardness_n of_o spirit_n whereby_o because_o they_o feel_v not_o that_o measure_n of_o sanctification_n it_o can_v hardly_o be_v discern_v and_o so_o will_v be_v always_o lest_o in_o doubt_n and_o that_o the_o heart_n be_v deceitful_a and_o many_o that_o have_v evidence_v their_o estate_n hereby_o have_v be_v deceive_v i_o confess_v thus_o the_o popish_a doctor_n argue_v against_o assurance_n of_o faith_n from_o the_o scripture_n without_o special_a and_o extraordinary_a revelation_n but_o
